Harmonix has been absent from PlayStation 4 for a few years, but today marks its grand return. The studio that brought us the likes of Amplitude and Rock Band has turned its hand to virtual reality with Audica, and it's out right now on PSVR. If you're not aware, it's a game that's all about blasting targets in time with the music, a little like Beat Saber with guns.
Those who do pick up Audica on PSVR will gain access to four free songs exclusive to the platform. You can hear a preview of each of them in the above trailer, which also gives you a crash course on what the gameplay is like. Additionally, the full track list has been revealed over on the PlayStation Blog.
Will you be giving Audica a shot on PSVR? Reload in the comments below.

Eesh, the set list is not for me at all. I mean, having I Feel Love by Donna Summer but it’s a remix by Afrojack of all people? Blasphemy.
@Neolit The thing keeping me interested is Harmonix's heritage as a rhythm game dev. I love Beat Saber, but I think this has potential. Harmonix has made some amazing games in the past. I do agree it might lack the catharsis of chopping those blocks in half. We'll see!
It's out today in the USA. Europe will get the game thursday november 7th.
@Neolit
It's not like when you bought 1 great RPG, you're not going to buy another RPG ever again. I do think there is room for both. As a major Beat Saber fan, i'm getting this one as well.
One cool thing is that this game will release with 36 songs availlable right away (32 in the game + 4 free PSVR DLC songs). Before the year ends they will also release 3 DLC packs containing 5 songs each.
Because it's Harmonix we can expect to see a ton of DLC at a much faster pace then in Beat Saber. And the entire game and DLC songs are all licensed music as well.
Will we get a review?
Anyone who has played this and Beat Saber, how does it compare in terms of physical activity? From the videos I've seen, Audica looks very chill/low energy, but I guess low level beat saber would look like that too
What do you mean Harmonix has been absent for a few years? Rock Band gets new DLC every week.
This looks pretty sweet...but am I the only one that think it's gonna be flippin hard as all get out? Suppose the gameplay could've been on hard mode but man my brain's not gonna be able to handle all that.
