Re: Red Dead Redemption 1 Confirmed for PS5, Out 2nd December

MysticWangForce

It should be a free upgrade for ps3 owners as well..... but they won't cuz R*

And before anyone starts chucking economics etc at me it's more about doing the right thing for gamers. That might be a silly ideal but If ya paid once wouldn't it be nice if you got entitled to future upgrades..... They did it with the doom remasters.....

Re: Halo Confirmed for PS5, Remake of First Game Out in 2026

MysticWangForce

I recently got a series s new cheap about 2 years ago? Black Friday sale or something. Was fun to finally be able to play the halo games being a playstation owner is totally missed out. And I really enjoyed them, the library and warthog escape from the pillar can absolutely get in the sea though haha. If they release a physical version for the ps5 though? We'll I might have to get it. I'm still don't own it on my Xbox as I'm somehow rinsing game pass with points? But the chance to own it on its rival console from back in the day is just a bit wild.

Andnincan remember actual fist fights in school over Nintendo Vs sega. Seriously. And one reason I'm glad it's on another platform. The wars are over. Everyone kiss and hug....

Re: Rumour: Sony to Put More First-Party PS5 Games on Xbox

MysticWangForce

As someone who remembers actual Nintendo Vs sega fist fights in school (none I took part in). I couldn't care less at the age of 43. More people having access to more games for the win as far as I'm concerned. I'm fortunate enough to be able to own a ps5 and series s. I game mostly on my ps5 but enjoy having access to the Xbox content I never could as a playstation owner since the first Xbox. I actually only got the series s to turn into an emulation beast but just have not got around to it yet lol.

Re: PS Stars Program Marks Its Eventual Shut Down with One Last Collectible

MysticWangForce

Stars was very poor compared to m$ rewards. It's possible to farm out an entire month of GPU Uusing that. In the entirety of the stars life time I think I've only reclaimed maybe 25 quids worth. Considerably less value for money than GPU or converting the points into other vouchers. And the collectibles I saw absolutely no need for them to exist. Other than to scratch some primal itch people have for collecting. And speaking as someone who hoarded stuff once I get that but when it doesn't even "exist" I don't see the point.

Nope I actually couldn't care less now. Sony didn't put the effort into it they should have. I just hope they redirect the wasted energy elsewhere.

Re: New Ace Combat Game Teased in 30th Anniversary Message

MysticWangForce

@KillerIsD34D ists a great installment the live action footage of actors was certainly new and worked well. Awesome soundtrack of course. "Zero" is a banger. I usually chuckle now that if I hear an ace combat tune I say "needs more bass slaps or maracas"

It's also very well done how the conflicts in strangereal can mirror more than one conflict here in the real world. Belkan? Balkan? But with ww2 allegories.

People talk about the nuke scene in cod4.... The one in belkan war/zero is bloody amazing too. And quite shocking.

Ps cheers! I'm a big fan of the owl. I live in Liverpool and know where a lot of their old digs were. Sorely missed.
(Colony wars remaster Sony you cowards!)

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Think of the PS5 Pro, Six Months Later?

MysticWangForce

I got through the last gen on an original fat PS4 and never felt like I missed out, and that tempered any thought of swapping to a ps5 pro. I genuinely couldn't and still cannot see any benefit to it. Because as it runs now, with my needs and entertainment setup it's just fine. The only good upgrade would be to shrink the ps5 to an acceptable footprint and make it look less like the unholy spawn of a Dubai skyscraper and BT router....

Re: Sony Remembers the PS3 in Surprise Firmware Update

MysticWangForce

Actually this worries me as i wasn't aware about the Blu-ray encryption update. So it's possible in the future that even if you use your ps3 as a Blu-ray player you could end up with one unable to play the most recent releases.

The ongoing future of things being released on disk being a separate matter....

Re: This New Xbox Controller Looks Exactly Like a PS5 Pad

MysticWangForce

I'll say exactly what i said over at PX cause i have both systems:

Ah good to see the discourse about stick placement is alive and well. How about whatever works for the individual? It's their own comfort surely. I've only ever known symettrical sticks since the original dual shock. Only been gaming with a xbox pad for about 10 months and didn't think i would ever get used to it, but i have. And i can appreciate the design of both controllers. This on my coffee table would confuse the hell out of me haha. I'd be picking up the wrong pad for both. At least with the normal pads there is no confusing them if you pick them up blind.

Which one do i think is better? if you must know. Dualsense. personally it feels more well made to me. BUT the xbox controller feels like a quality product as well. So no shade. And i had a LOT of crappy 3rd party controllers as a kid.... i can still remember that mega drive style SNES pad. **shudders**

Re: Rumour: PlayStation Is Working on Reviving Some of Its 'Deep Cut' Franchises

MysticWangForce

@Nakatomi_Uk Indeed. I actually live in Liverpool now. And didn't realise they were based here until i moved here to go to university. I ended up living not far from their last HQ which was in Wavertree technology park. I've gotten to know a lot of their old locations over time from living here. In a case of it being a small world my paths crossed with them again when i worked for a small IT company that supplied internet access to a small college that tookup residence in their old offices near the existing docks in Liverpool. Such a fantastic history of games from themselves and what they published.

Re: Beloved PS2 Action Shooter Star Wars: Bounty Hunter Is Being Remastered on PS5, PS4

MysticWangForce

So I have the emulated original version on my PS4 and ps5. And it's fun but god it's janky controls wise and the difficulty sometimes is just downright unfair. I actually abandoned my recent play through because I wasn't having fun. And dualsense controllers are not cheap.... But if this is a remaster that fixes those issues I could be interested. I've no problems with aspyr, the jedi knight remasters they did were good fun. And best way I've played them so far.
