@Stickleman Flop may be a little harsh but for a pretty big established IP like Doom the sales don't look good at all, even with Gamepass the sales numbers look disappointing so let's just say that if it makes you feel better also if you need some proof just open your eyes.

Denuvo should be in every PC game to combat those PC pirates. Just a shame developers have to licence it otherwise most publishers would use it.

@cburg Common sense which was just proven correct by the fact Ampere and Christopher Dring just said over 2 million players were actually from Xbox Gamepass so it didn't even sell 1 million copies also it looks like PC Gamepass probably wasn't even included in that 2 million+ so the game did even worse than I thought when it came to sales.

I imagine it will sell quite a few copies once it hits bargain bin prices though lol.

These games are only £20 each on Amazon but still people think all digital is a good idea.

It definitely isn't doing better than Doom Eternal.

Doom Eternal got actual sales and this flopped and that's no surprise because it is the worst out of the 3 modern doom games.

Jade Raymond is washed up. She's turned into a grifter that just floats from one studio to the next, maybe they could rename and rework this game into something else but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

They haven't even started development on their new game yet it's probably at least 5 years away and if the new IP isn't successful they'll have to fall back to Helldivers anyway.

Sony could just say no and give Helldivers 3 to someone else and let them go under.

Xbox I can understand because they don't even use 100gb discs but there's no excuse for not putting the full game on Playstation.

You can't buy it digitally if you already own Part 1 and 2 because it's just a convenient bundle for people who've never played it.

I would buy a physical copy of this when it hits a sale if I didn't already own them though.

Still haven't bought any of the games Xbox ported over and after seeing some gameplay from this it just doesn't feel like a must have game to me either. I'll probably pick it up from Cex once it's has lost most of its value though.

Sony will have the marketing deal for GTA6 as well and once that releases sales will go through the roof.

@PuppetMaster Yeah I still have a copy of Ridge Racer on PS3 from 19 years ago and it still works and the disc looks fine.

CDs have a 50- to 100-year lifespan, and DVDs are supposed to last between 30 and 100 years. Despite being the newest iteration, the Blu-ray discs PS5 games are printed on have the shortest life expectancy and are only estimated to last around 20 years under ideal conditions.

According to this Blu-ray discs are the one's that can last 50-100 years because of the way they are pressed and laminated and 20 years is just a minimum.

PS3 came out 19 years ago and the launch titles still work fine also the first Blu-ray movies released 19 years ago as well. I think the source for your article is full of crap.

Blu-ray's will last just as long if not longer than CDs and DVD's. My uncle still has a collection of PS1 and PS2 games that still work fine as well.

This game never looked good to me anyway and the more I saw of it the more boring it looked. I'm sure there's some diehard Bethesda fans who'll be happy about this though.

@UltimateOtaku91 Yeah the last sales update was 10 million sold on Playstation and PC back in 2022 but obviously it's more than that now anyway I just watched the trailer for the second time and I'm hyped for it.

@OldGamer999 Yeah they need a permanent price cut for Europe but at the moment I think they are content with doing these numbers at a higher price point.

If it is possible I think they will do one sometime after GTA6 releases but first they'll want to get all those sales at the current price but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

@OldGamer999 They were only 1.87 million behind PS4 in worldwide sales from the latest estimate and monster hunter also almost just closed the gap in Japan where they are now only about 100k behind and Xbox is still losing its Market share in the UK.

I was only interested in this game mainly as a novelty anyway, I think I'll just buy a physical copy of The Crew Motorfest for £15 and wait for this to hit a bargain bin deep discount price.

@Rog-X That's just December and it only charted at 14th lol now it has dropped out of all the sales charts completely including the Xbox chart and it flopped on Steam.

Sure it was played by a couple of million on Gamepass but so did Hi-fi Rush and that doesn't really mean that much anyway unless it generated a lot of new subs, which it obviously didn't or Microsoft would have shouted it from the rooftops.
