Sony has said it was an operational issue and they apologise for any inconvenience and to thank the community for their patience they are giving all PlayStation Plus members 5 extra days on their sub.

With this and the MGS Delta release date, I think I will have to start edging close to release as well.

Of course EA said that, they were never going to admit to shareholders they're incompetent and tried far too hard pushing an agenda also these are the same clowns that proudly declared singleplayer games are basically dead already.

@RagnarLothbrok Yeah I'm sure I remember Matt saying one time that he wants everything on PC because that's were he plays and then he deleted the tweet a couple of hours later, anyway we'll see how it charts for the month in a few weeks when Circana releases the data.

@LifeGirl Wishful thinking you have there but Xbox is still as irrelevant as ever. There's no benefit to playstation putting their games on a dead platform.

@breakneck Yep all these analysts are suddenly shouting it is a massive success on PC then conveniently follow up their tweets with FF shouldn't be exclusive and it needs to be on PC day one. A quick look on the newly updated Steam best sellers list has shows Rebirth has dropped all the way down to the 35th spot after just 1 week.

Honestly I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them and I'll laugh my ass off if part 3 is still timed.

EDIT: Don't get me wrong though I actually want Rebirth to succeed but I'm not sure how much lower sales are a massive success all of sudden and it's kind of convenient some of them are suddenly calling for exclusives to end altogether, especially after a towel has been thrown, it's almost like it's coordinated.

Lots of glazing going on over these PC game sales but I don't believe it for one second.

Matt said something similar for Indy and then when we got the monthly chart it didn't actually sell that well at all also Gamalytic which is usually considered one of most accurate and consistent trackers available to us has it at about 350k which isn't that much really, actually it did that in just physical copies in Japan in the first week on PS5.

@Rog-X Nah, that was slop as well but nobody was really hyped for that. It wasn't being billed as the game of the generation either like Starslop which easily takes the crown as the most disappointing game of the generation.

PS5 is actually selling well despite all the annoying crybabies online. VG Charts estimates it's at 71 million sold now which is good but they also have a history of underestimating Playstation sales.

I've seen another estimate from someone from Instalbase that thinks they are actually about 73 million already.

@Max_the_German @sanderson72 The PS5 did get a $50 price hike in the US it just came later after the one in Europe and was only for the Digital edition.

@Paleblood Exactly and a much shorter development time for Astro as well, plus Astro is still charting okay in the sales charts, meaning it has some legs while Veilguard's sales have collapsed already.

@KingPev @themightyant According to IGN the full game was available with EA Play Pro for a while and they are most likely counting the players who tried just the 5 hour trial on just the standard EA Play as well.

@Darylb88 A lot of people bought the game just because it has the dragon age name otherwise it probably would have done Dustborn and Unknown 9 numbers.

Veilguard is definitely a massive flop. That 1.5 million is actually players not just sales meaning it included all the people who played it on EA Play and it was obviously an expensive game to develop that took a long time to make and burn rate is high for AAA games made in the US.

A multiplatform big budget AAA RPG from an incredibly popular franchise getting those terrible sales is a massive flop no matter how you try to spin it.

That's because EA is probably working out if they even want Bioware to make it after the massive flop that was Veilguard.

I look forward to the PS article about how it was a massive flop as well. I mean you guys made one every chance you got about Rebirth right so I'm sure Veilguard being a massive flop must deserve at least one article.

@REALAIS Sony blocking access was a direct result of people complaining about having to make an account and once those countries were blocked the vast majority of the people who were complaining just stopped complaining because they already got what they wanted.

Pretending all the complaints were just about Sony blocking access and not mainly about PC players having to make an account is obviously not going to fly here.

Here's another article in Korean from a games website that says they investigated whether the game was cancelled and according to them it hasn't been cancelled.

The Korean reporter who wrote the article for MTN has said that Project H was not the Horizon mmo and he has no clue about the status of the Horizon game so it seems the Resetera user who spread the news of it being cancelled was just jumping to conclusions.

Had no interest in this mmo mobile game anyway but then I don't actually like mmo's. I will give the horizon monster hunter style live service game a shot though if it looks good.

@Oram77 I'd rather they remake Code Veronica then do anything with 5 or 6 but they shouldn't skip it.

5 is okay, especially if you play it co-op with a friend but it should be easy enough to improve it and the story quite a bit so I'd prefer they do that instead of acting like it doesn't exist.

I don't think Nintendo has any interest in competing directly but of course they still compete with Playstation to a certain extent.

@HonestHick Yeah I'm not sure exactly when it started but a kart bundle has been a permanent option for a while now. It's smart because it has definitely has already sold millions of copies on its own and made plenty of profit so now they're just using it mainly to sell as many switches as possible leading up to switch 2.

Those bundles have been a permanent fixture for a couple of years now and sure they sell out but just until a restock.

I just checked Walmart and Best Buy and they have the Mario kart bundle so I think you're talking out your ass also every single store in the UK that sells switches have a mario kart bundle. They may go out of stock until a restock but the bundle is now a permanent fixture on their websites.

@HonestHick Nope, you can't even buy those bundles anymore. Playstation bundles are limited time, limited stock and constantly changing and it always has been that way. Like how at the moment there's just a Fortnite bundle.

Nintendo has bundled Mario kart with the switch for as long as I can remember. It's smart really but look at the amount of switches still being sold and the fact that the Mario kart bundle is only about $20/£20 more these days or about ¥3k and it's obvious that the majority of Mario kart sales nowadays are mainly from bundles.

I didn't get a chance to try the demo the first time round but this looks good to me so I'll give it a go and that price is much better than I thought it would've been.

@Cikajovazmaj I remember Dring commented on this once, he said - "less than 15% of horizon's sales are the bundle." Anyway unless there's a sale on the bundle it is priced at £50 more.

@Max_the_German It actually only has 8gb of ram for games. The ram is split the other 2gb is a lot slower and only used for system memory.

Series S has even less ram than an Xbox One X lol, which is a joke and a big mistake by Xbox.

What's funny is even the Switch 2 will have 12gb of ram so it'll be hilarious if some Xbox ports have to delayed or even cancelled because of the S but still make it on the Switch 2.
