@DennisReynolds I saw a post with a big list of reviews that had what I would call legitimate criticism of the game. Which said go check Steam to check if these reviews are still there and I looked and they had been deleted but I did see plenty of reviews still there that people are posting just to counteract any review bombing.
Blatant comments like the game is just a 3 star game but I'm giving it a 5 because of review bombers or others like the game is a laggy mess for me despite what digital foundry said I can't get the game to run properly but I'll still give it 5 stars to own the chuds and incels.
There actually seems to be quite a lot of reverse review bombing going on for it which is working exceptionally well because of Steam deleting critical reviews and if the concurrent barely surpasses launch day then we can assume there was quite a few refunds happening as well and that the game hasn't really sold well on steam at all.
@DennisReynolds Yeah but that's only because Steam has been hard at work deleting bad reviews, even a lot of the one's that had some legitimate criticism of the game but conveniently leaving the ones that say they are just scoring it 5 stars to counteract any review bombing.
This is just Sony port numbers of their old games which we know don't sell very well on PC in the long run.
A better comparison would be dragons dogma 2 it is a recent game that had 228k concurrent on steam and took 2 weeks to sell 2.5 million on all platforms. Except DD2 obviously had a much lower budget than DAV.
Gamalytic has this estimated to have sold about 211k so far and even if it has done 3x that on console (doubt) which is actually not bad but not really that good for something that was originally highly anticipated and part of a massively popular franchise.
Circana & Dring will obviously be very kind with their statements about the sales, for that I have no doubt but I think we're going to be looking at Star Wars Outlaws flop numbers for DAV when all is said and done.
Steam count and Gamalytic aren't that reliable half the time though and sales could have already dropped off a cliff.
Looks amazing and I'm definitely upgrading. The only shot I liked more on the original was in the mountain pass with the red sky but could that partly be down to the day and night cycle maybe?
@Titntin I'm happy you like what you see, good for you and I've watched plenty of reviews and videos about this game because I like the old dragon age games but I definitely don't like what I see with this one so I'm going to let that be known just like how you're saying I'm looking forward to it or you're going to give it a chance.
Unfortunately for you, you can't silence people. If you can't handle any criticism of the game then just ignore my comments on articles about this game, that should be simple enough right.
@Titntin The game has really bad writing and dialogue so it's definitely not a 10/10 so for that reason alone anyone giving it a 10 definitely cannot be trusted.
Especially Eurogamer, I've long since lost any faith I had in their reviews.
The 3 games that were cancelled were Battlecrush, Miniverse and Doguri adventure. There was no mention of the Horizon mmo mobile game whatsoever or any indication that its development was actually impacted but I guess that sub heading spices up this article.
I guess the upgrade isn't available for physical copies until release day because I looked and can't find it but I'm definitely buying it when I get the chance. It looks great and well worth it.
Looking at the sales charts for it in the month it released it was 13th in the US according to Circana and 4th in the UK from the Nintendo Life article with almost all the sales being split between Playstation and Nintendo.
Xbox's numbers for it were irrelevant as usual, I guess they just looked at it as a should've been on Gamepass game but I wonder what the PC sales were like, anyway it's a shame if they've been closed, hopefully the talent gets picked up by other studios straight away.
EDIT: looking at the Steam lifetime concurrent it definitely flopped on there as well.
@Keyblade-Dan Don't be, Christopher Dring said it was a massive hit across Europe and its launch sales are up 140% compared to FighterZ which was the fastest selling Dragonball game in Europe.
@Deoxyr1bose Would you have preferred if they waited 2 more days before they announced it? It'll have been 15 months by the time it releases on PC anyway and honestly I'm surprised this one didn't come sooner because of that leaked build from the insomniac hack.
@LowDefAl Then I guess you'll be happy to hear physical copies sold out in loads of countries really fast and now there's long wait times for a physical copy while retailers are waiting for new stock.
@NEStalgia You're Wii U comparison is r*t*rd*d. One is a console and the other is just an accessory also that 3% is not the global adoption rate and even if it was it wouldn't matter seeing as it's just basically a controller that's sold separately.
@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare Yeah but those Westerns still have an Eastern influence and I understand not wanting it to be like one of those old movies but that's arguably why these games are so popular. They appeal to fans of both genres.
@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare Except Clint Eastwood's spaghetti westerns are inspired by Kurasowa movies and sucker punch's ghost games are inspired by Kurasowa movies so it isn't fair to say they are using western trappings because any similarities are because of that.
@PloverNutter Yeah but you lost me on the only weapon is a bow.
There's a few different types of weapons in Horizon with alternate ammo types and effects. Like spears and slingshots and tripcasters and a rapid fire crossbow that sort of fires like a gun and saw blades that are like boomerangs also turrets that are like miniguns etc.
Yeah this is legit. The Stellar Blade soundtrack just dropped on Apple Music as well.
I'm interested in Hell is us and some Astro and Stellar DLC but I'm already shattered so I'm not sure if I'll still be awake for this and it doesn't look like it's worth staying up for anyway. Unless ofc when they say over 20 there's like 24 games or something so there's room for a couple of surprises.
@johnedwin Yep, I'm not surprised and the fact they choose to just ignore Sweet Baby's involvement in Deadlock because it was made by Valve just further proves they are also bunch of petty hypocrites.
PC players are a bunch of drama queens and always have been. There's a thread on the Steam community forum or whatever the F it is called where they were all trying to convince people to buy the game just to review bomb it for the PSN requirement.
Part of the reason why Ragnarok's player count is also lower is because of FF16. Some of the people who would've bought Ragnarok are playing FF16 at the moment.
@bestuardo If you listen to that Colin guy he claims Sony put $200 million in it in the first quarter of 2023 so he's basically saying it cost them $200 million for about a years worth of development.
Yeah this sounds like a load of bull.
Sony didn't even get involved until 2021 so unless Probably Monsters and its investors spent $200 million on it before Sony got involved then I think I think it's a load of crap.
$200 million for those 3 years Sony was involved would be more believable.
@Ypmud Nope Sony owns the Heavenly Sword IP and I'd love to see it return in a remake or at least a remaster. If they don't want to do it themselves hopefully they let someone license the IP like they just did with Freedom Wars.
Free upgrade or £10 upgrade path or I'm definitely not interested.
I realise this was probably because of the Netflix show that fell through, they were most likely almost done with the remaster before that happened but without the show it makes this remaster even more pointless than it already was.

I saw the manual and apparently the Pro has 18gb of ram as well, which I was not expecting.

Re: PS5 Pro Is Not Compatible with PS5 Slim Face Plates
The bottom plates fit but the top plates don't and I'm sure I already knew this. I remember reading about it on Reddit a few weeks back.
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for November 2024 Announced
I've almost bought Ghostwire and Hot wheels a couple of times but never pulled the trigger so definitely happy with this.
Re: Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered (PS5) - A Sublime Remaster of a Modern PlayStation Classic
Played it on release day and I'm definitely ready to jump back in now.

Re: Concord Cost Sony Over $200 Million, And Didn't Make a Single Cent
@TheTraditional Twisted Metal was just a pitch that got rejected.
Re: PS5, PC Flop Concord Never Returning, Studio Closed Down
Well it was either close them or make them a support studio because it's obvious they couldn't be trusted to make their own game again.

I'm in the UK but I'm only seeing the £10 option so yeah it must be a bug.

Re: Reaction: Why There Are So Many Unnecessary PS5 Remasters for Games That Don't Need Them
Yeah I have no problem with remasters I just don't think they are remastering the right games.

@UltimateOtaku91 Yeah licencing the old IP'S they weren't going to return to themselves is a good idea, much better than the horizon remaster anyway.
I mean I like horizon but it definitely feels unnecessary.
