Well I'm not at all surprised by this, especially after seeing those hardware numbers for November in Spain.

There was always going to be a lot of hate no matter what Naughty Dog did.

I mean there's a weird dedicated sub where a group of people (basically a cult of nutjobs in an echo chamber) post daily about hating Druckman and TLOU2 then there's the I fixed her meme losers who keep changing characters to look like pornstars they want to goon over (seriously get a life) and the obvious culture war grifters that have a bunch of absolute imbeciles hanging on their every word. I could go on but the point is there's no way ND was escaping the hate.

I actually had to watch the trailer again with no distractions after the chat went crazy on the stream I was watching and the YouTuber seemed like he was actually holding back tears just because it was a bald woman, it was embarrassing.

I'm definitely guilty of my fair share of trolling ofc but all the internet discourse over a lot of games lately has just became tiresome to the point even I can't be bothered with it anymore.

Just used this article to put a few people on the ignore list. @somnambulance Sony is on the protected companies list in Japan, it can't be bought by foreign companies. I'd imagine the Japanese government would probably add Nintendo if they needed to as well.

Yeah it looks really good and Polyphony Digital are really talented also lol at digital foundry for showing the Kodokawa van at the start.

No mention of how Kodokawa has 26 games in development. 20 console games and 6 mobile games anyway hopefully they wrap this deal up as soon as possible.

@rjejr Yeah that's what I meant, it can become the best selling console ever but if you're going to categorise it then it can never take the title of best selling home console because of the Lite.

So I wonder if Shift Up and Stellar Blade was the last game and partnership he was responsible for? Anyway he's a playstation legend and has a good eye for games.

@KundaliniRising333 I got points for games out of the Black Friday sale and points for renewing my sub.

I redeemed £10 worth of points today as well and bought Dino Crisis and got the 80 points for it.

@MeanBeanEgg It doesn't matter if it's part of the family or not. The Lite is only a handheld so it shouldn't count towards the best selling home console.

There's over 6 million of them sold in Japan as well.

@Godot25 Sub services grew 16% is a nice way to say it but what was actually said was subscription spending grew 16% YoY for October.

I wonder how many lapsed gamepass subscribers just needed to sign back up for a month at the new increased gamepass price to account for most of gamepass's share of that 16% increased subscription spending.

@Godot25 And you conveniently lied and you just did it again, unless you're just daft enough to count wrong because there are only 5 games out of the 25 Lego games on Steam with more than a 5k peak and and only one of them has more than 6k also loads of the other Lego games with low CCU's are from popular franchises.

The Steam is bigger now doesn't fly either when the recent 2k drive only got 1k peak concurrent.

You can try and spin it anyway you want but the fact is it's normal for Lego games not to perform well on Steam.

@Godot25 The Sky Walker Saga is an outlier and you know it. It's the only Lego game with an actual good peak on Steam and the only Lego game with more than a 6k peak.

There's 10 Lego games with about 1k peak concurrent or less and 18 Lego games with less than 3k peak concurrent on steam so these numbers are pretty normal to the point it almost seems like putting Lego games on Steam is just a waste of time.

Some of them don't even hit their peaks until months or even years later when they hit the steam sales. Like the Lego Harry Potter Collection that only hit its 620 peak last month.

It seems basically everyone here got offered a discount, myself included.

Are we sure some of the comments from people on Reddit weren't just them thinking they hadn't got a discount when in actual fact the PS Plus discount just hadn't went live in their region yet? Because from the comments I saw on Reddit that seemed to be the case.

@themightyant Yeah you might as well at that price and hopefully Sony can get their act together so that you're able to get your hands on a drive sooner rather than later.

For anyone who is still on the fence, FF16 is £15 at Amazon in the Black Friday sale. It's a bargain at that price.

@Ernimus_Prime I just renewed mine after I left you that message and I got playstation stars points for it as well.

I'm UK though so I don't know if that makes a difference or they've brought the stars points back for everyone when they buy or renew their subscription.

EDIT: Okay so I'm daft, the stars points for subs doesn't actually end until March 2025.

@Ernimus_Prime There's a sale on PS Plus but I think it depends what tier you're already on.

For example if you're already on premium you get 30% off Premium and if you're on Essential you get 20% off Essential. I'm not sure about the Extra tier though.

@NEStalgia Yeah and I wonder where all of Pushsquare's articles are about Veilguard telling us the sales sucked. I mean they did it constantly for Rebirth and that had 21% higher sales than Veilguard also Dragons Dogma 2 sales were 18% higher than Veilguard but not a peep from Pushsquare.

Feel like I remember reading awhile back that Sony had already chosen to go with AMD again for PS6 while Xbox were still shopping around.

It made me think Xbox was unsure whether to commit because they were still unsure whether they'll even make another proper next gen console.

Even more reason for Sony to try and buy them after they get Kodokawa then.

While everyone is crying about this it seems it may have been a move from Kodokawa and Sony to prevent a takeover from a South Korean conglomerate called Kakao which makes sense because Japanese companies prefer to stay in Japanese hands.

Well I just bought it dirt cheap recently but haven't tried it yet so I guess I'll wait for the update.

@Matroska Yeah it's 5th but the lowest 13 are only separated by a few hundred players and the rest just a couple of thousand. Like I said before a few of them don't actually hit their peaks until much later when they go into the steam sales. The point is Lego games just don't do well on steam at launch apart from one outlier. Even the 4 top games out of the 25 games with 5k odd peak players are not good numbers either, sure they are better than horizon but they are still bad.

Maybe they have some data that tells them PC players are more likely to buy expensive limited edition Lego sets or something because Lego games on steam always seem to flop.

@Matroska have you ever looked at the Lego games on steam? Apart from Lego Skywalker Saga they all have low CCUs and most don't even get their peaks until months and sometimes years later. Lego Harry Potter Collection only hit its peak last month.

Out of 25 Lego games on steam 18 of them have less than 3k peaks and only 1 of them has more than 6k and that's the Skywalker Saga with 82k.

Lego games just don't do well on steam at least at launch to the point I'm wondering why the publishers even bother putting them on there, maybe they have long tails and are basically evergreens or something so they eventually make a profit otherwise it just seems like a waste of time.

Hopefully this is real and if it's it'll sail through no problem despite what the haters want people to believe then they can go after CD Project Red next.

Just realised that playstation is the only platform that you can currently play all of those game of the year games on.

@AdamNovice Yeah Sony is also the most nominated publisher this year as well with 16 nominations and Astrobot & Rebirth both have the most nominations with 7 each.

The fact that you can't play shadow of the erdtree without owning Elden Ring means it shouldn't even be eligible also if it or Balatro wins I'll never watch the game awards again.

EDIT: Black ops 6 can suck it as well.

Remakes yeah sure but remasters and DLC definitely shouldn't be eligible. They should get their own category.

@Porco why would they need to announce sales numbers for a controller, now the Xbox One X on the other hand, hmm, I wonder why we never got them.

@Porco you know exactly what I meant. It is off to a decent start and in Hiroki's own words the sales have been slightly stronger than the PS4 Pro's and the price is higher as well.

Keep hating though, in fact why don't you go on another rant about the Portal even though we only hear good things about the monthly sales for that as well. 👍

I read the headline and was scratching my head thinking was Shadows supposed to be live service game and I missed it anyway this game is definitely not for me.

So Xbox console sales still decreased even though they put Cod on gamepass.

Stick a fork in it Phil it's done and down 11% on MW3 which is one of the worst cod's that underperformed by cod standards lol. I guess the big question is how much it helped increase subs but Xbox will never give those numbers and I doubt it was massive if it couldn't even increase sales lmao.

Dring also said it sold worse than Star Wars Outlaws which you've conveniently left out of this article and it took about a month for outlaws to sell about 1 million copies so this statement by him is so vague and pointless it means absolutely nothing.

He didn't even give any percentages like he usually does. He was as vague as possible and tried to paint it in a good light, which is hilarious because he ***** on Rebirth sales but suddenly Veilguard is doing okay according to him, yeah no make it make sense.

@breakneck If they did get the Physint IP in return then that's probably a good deal because a stealth action espionage game by Kojima will obviously have a wider appeal than death stranding.

Kojima probably had the option to buy the rights back or they just automatically reverted although I suppose there could have been some kind of deal where Sony gets the Physint IP in return..

Didn't Game Science hint at a DLC? If it does get a Pro patch it'll probably come with the DLC.
