Doesn't seem like anyone cared about the controversy that western journalists were trying to stir up because the game just went over 1 million concurrent players on steam lol.
Edit: it surpassed Cyberpunk & Elden Ring and has the highest concurrent peak for a single player game ever on Steam and it is now 4th on the all time peak list.
Well Tom Warren just said Xbox is gearing up to do their second round of playstation ports so whatever they announce next week is just the start of the second batch of games.
@Godot25 Yeah I hadn't seen or read their press release. I had just saw that slide talking about acquiring new Ip and the integration of Tango and all 3 IP listed so I they assumed acquired them all.
@Deoxyr1bose Yeah I wasn't saying they'd have been any better off under Sony but I would've still preferred if Sony had got them back then instead of Meta.
Yeah Reality Labs is currently losing Meta about $8 billion a year and total losses are now at $45 billion but Ready at Dawn were actually a decent studio and I would've liked for them to get a shot at an Order sequel so it was a shame Sony didn't buy them instead.
@Steel76 Well PS5 has 698 games with a native PS5 version while Xbox Series consoles only have 438 so they are still doing okay in that regard, especially compared to the competition but of course they aren't all exclusives.
VirtualLink was a proposed USB-C Alternate Mode that was historically intended to allow the power, video, and data required to power virtual reality headsets to be delivered over a single USB-C cable instead of a set of three different cables as it was in older headsets.[1][2] The standard was supported by Nvidia, AMD, HTC Vive, Oculus VR, Valve, and Microsoft.[3] The VirtualLink Consortium was chaired by Rambo Jacoby representing Nvidia.[citation needed] VirtualLink never launched successfully.
AMD was originally supposed to support it and they were also part of the consortium.
Well it seems to be working for people with Virtual link ports without any need for the adapter so I guess it makes sense, they must have thought that port was going to be on everything going forward but it basically got killed off and for the people saying why didn't they say this from the very beginning, well that wouldn't help them sell PS5's now would it.
I'm curious what the 3rd game is that's getting spun out into Playstation Studios as well and I wonder when we'll find out the name of this new studio.
@Max_the_German Edit: Nevermind someone else already sourced it.
For anyone who likes no man sky VR, Hello Games just said they were going to do more with PSVR2. I'm not sure if they are actually talking about NMS though, maybe their new survival game, Light No Fire is going to have a VR mode as well.
@Ralizah Well this discount seems to be working because the PSVR2 is currently outselling the Quest 3, the Xbox Series S & X and even the PS5 digital on Amazon right now.
I have no interest in Concord but I can't help but think this game would actually perform better on PS5 (sales wise) if there was no PC version at all.
There would be definitely be less people kicking up a stink about it but oh well you reap what you sow I guess.
@Ravix Yeah with the article talking about early access I didn't realise it was out yet so yeah you're probably right and that's it also it probably got a decent amount of day 1 £70 buyers so that has something to do with its top 10 in the country ranking.
Thankfully as TLOU 2 just proved, the comments on here are no indication of what's actually happening in the real world so I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it does in the open beta and sales charts.
No mention of 2023 being a record breaking year for how many PS5's were sold? Ofc sales are down, as others have said it is time for a permanent price cut, maybe alongside the Pro if that's actually a thing and Cod should've skipped last Gen this time round as well.
@themightyant Yeah I'm aware people have different opinions but I feel like people's standards are getting lower.
The first episode was interesting I won't deny that but the slow motion action scene was pretty terrible. Maybe I was harsh giving the last episode a 4/10 but let's say I gave it a 6/10 and the first episode is a 7/10 then still think there's still no way this show should be getting rated as highly as it does.
Again yeah sure it's just an opinion but I feel Fallout fans have a massively inflated opinion of how good this show actually is and a lot of people who are new to it just got caught up in the hype.
Though it probably doesn't help that by the time Fallout 4 dropped I had lost interest in it as franchise so maybe I'm overly harsh but even then I still think it is clear people are being far too generous with their ratings for this show.
Edit: I also think as time goes by a lot of people opinions are going to change as well.
Honestly I'm surprised how well this show was received. I would give it a 6/10 and I think that's generous because the last episode was so bad I regretted even watching it in the first place.
I would say most episodes are about a 6 or maybe a 7/10 max at a push but the last episode was a like a 4/10.
I'm hoping Evotinction looks a lot more polished now and Daba actually looks pretty decent already but I just wish they'd change the names of them to something more attention grabbing.
@UltimateOtaku91 It seems Sony's just taking a chance on it and if they can actually become something even slightly comparable to the Pokémon company then it will have obviously paid off.
They must think the potential for toys, anime/live action movies and even a card game from the IP is worth it also Aniplex actually handles some very successful mobile games like FGO so maybe they could eventually make something together and I'm sure it'll get a big player boost with an inevitable PS5 port paired with another update.
@BAMozzy Yeah why haven't they closed Halo down? I mean Helldivers is averaging 11x more players and Infinite isn't in the top 30 either so you'd think they'd shut that down as well.
Bamozzy your numbers are useless because you don't know how many players are actually needed or how much people are actually spending or their server costs for that matter. All they need to do is keep chugging along until their next update and if people come back then they come back but if not then the game could close down tomorrow and it would still be a success because of the 12 million sales.
In other news the sky is blue and water is wet but seriously though I wouldn't be surprised if they still sold a separate disk attachment so people can play their discs.

Re: Black Myth: Wukong Is Blowing Up Big Time on PS5, PC
It just passed Counterstrike and now has the 3rd highest all time peak players on Steam with 1.9 million peak concurrent.
Re: Black Myth: Wukong Is Blowing Up Big Time on PS5, PC
It's almost as if most gamers just care if a game is good and don't care for the virtue signalling.
The panic over on resetera over the numbers this game is doing was amusing though.
Re: Return to That Special Place with Silent Hill 2 PS5 Story Trailer
This trailer and the gameplay video sold me on it so I pre-ordered it from Amazon.
It's only £55 because of the £5 off preorder bonus.

Re: Rumour: Xbox's Indiana Jones Game Coming to PS5 in First Half 2025

Shinobi just said a big Xbox game for PS5 will be announced next week.
Re: Rumour: Xbox's Indiana Jones Game Coming to PS5 in First Half 2025
It being 1st person still puts me off but I guess we'll see if it actually works once it releases.
Re: Final Fantasy 16's PS5 Exclusivity Ends in September as PC Launch Is Locked Down
It'll still be a console exclusive, for the time being at least.
Re: Preview: Silent Hill 2 PS5 Grows in the Right Ways for Anticipated Remake
So they've definitely been cooking and I know I shouldn't but I'm getting hyped again so I hope they pull it off because it looks great.
Re: Until Dawn PS5 Is Priced at $60 / £60
If you don't own it and have never played it before then it is probably worth it but if you have then I would wait for a sale.

Yeah I've been interested in this since I first saw the trailer so I'll definitely check it out.

Krafton just posted their financials and they got Evil Within and GhostWire Tokyo as well.

@Haruki_NLI @NoHope Last year was a record breaking year for console sales for them so it is no suprise they are down compared to that.

Re: EA Sports College Football 25 Sells 2.2 Million Copies for $100
@Ravix Well I've just checked the PS app and I'm in the UK but it is sitting at 40th for me.
Edit: I guess you're looking at the top 10 games in your country list and I was looking at the best selling preorders.
I wonder why there's such a discrepancy between the two.
Re: Doubt Cast Over PS5 Pro Actually Releasing This Year
I feel like these insiders have been saying "if it releases this year" for a while now.
