@MrPeanutbutterz ....its fantastic mate, its far removed from how it was at launch too. If you buy the new expansion you get the previous, Vessel of Hatred one too plus 2 new classes. Well worth it. It's much darker than D3 ( which i loved )
Battling through the latest season on the superb Diablo 4 on XBX - its amazing how much Blizzard has turned this game around. I'm literally counting down the minutes for the new Lord of Hatred expansion, the reviews have been glowing !
More Crimson Desert on Ps5 Pro, loving this most of the time yet sometimes I think its the most 5/10 game yet made, due to its quirks of gameplay.
Will play Marathon on all nighter on PS5 Pro - i very rarely buy extraction style, live service shooters but this game, well, its a fantastic example of a modern day FPS by the masters, Bungie. It's the freshest shooter in years. It's THAT good, cant recommend it highly enough to those that haven't played it.
I'll also finish the daft but enjoyable Battlefield Hardline campaign on XBX, before it sails off into the gaming sunset. I played it years ago on PS4 but mainly only multiplayer.
I bought Pragmata for PS5 pro too so thats Sunday sorted....with this, Saros and Lord Of Hatred out next week its a great time to be a gamer eh ?
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
More Crimson Desert on PS5 Pro - i still feel like ive hardly made a dent in the game yet, loving it despite it being a bit plodding and clunky in some aspects. Trying to mop up some obscure Achievements in Forza Horizon 4 on XBX, my personal fave in the series and just downloaded Replaced on GamePass - hopefully it lives up to its reviews ! Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
Back into Cyberpunk on PS5 Pro....only started it to see the difference the update makes - now its got me hook, line and sinker again! One of the finest games ever..... Crimson Desert ...making intentionally slow progress and loving it, despite forgetting the controls constantly 😅.... Starcraft 2 (again ) on PC.....trying to go for the difficult hardcore and obscure Achievements..... Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
@Globo. Yeah for some it IS an addiction for sure! Id never play a game just for Trophies, my niece does eg. The bread and the Mayo game. Baffles me.
I do enjoy playing for specific gameplay Trophies- I recently completed Outer Worlds 2 and Death Stranding and did make a point of going for some specific obscure Trophies and Achievements but didnt have the inclination for the Plat or full Gamer Score
@Balaam_ ...this is a genuine question out of curiosity, not a dig ....did you get into gaming purely due to collecting Trophies and Achievements ( if you do play on Xbox too ) and decided thats what gaming means to you and your preferred way to play or did you play back in the days of PS2 / Xbox OG ? Do you play Nintendo games too or is it all about gaming for Trophies? Just genuinely asking
More of the superb Crimson Desert on PS5 Pro....this is a game im literally getting lost and immersed in, challenging boss fights but I HATE the inventory system. The game deserves its success. .
I'll indulge in some more runs on Marathon now that im really getting into the games systems - the gunplay and PVP elements are fantastic, as you'd expect from Bungie. FF9 on PS4 - In my mind the BEST FF ..I pray for a remake daily
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
@nessisonett ...exactly. Its business. Asking a company "how much is enough ?"....well, there's never enough. All profit targets are based on exceeding the previous years profits - if they don't, shares tumble, meaning unhappy shareholders and an unhappy Stock Exchange. Capitalism at its finest
@nessisonett ....but at the end of the day, thats why they exist. To make money for shareholders and the SE. They're not in business to make games, they're in business to make money. Like any other business
@Balaam_ .....so how WOULD you expect them to make improvements to the game ? Or provide potentially free content? Modern gaming is so much better thanks to devs being able to patch their games. It happened to PC games for years in the days of PS1 and PS2. It ain't going away so why not embrace it ? ....or maybe stick to playing on a PS2 ? ....Ah, sorry you cant - no Trophies
@TheArt ..yeah, well it was a 3 way adaptor plugged into an extension lead ! 😅 soon as I plugged it into the wall it was fine. Panicked me though. Schoolboy error 😉
So, bought the wife a new car, the deal being i get a PS5 Pro (yaaay) ..get it home, boot up Crimson Desert - for the Pro to immediately overheat and shut down ! 3 times ! Nnoooo......turns out plugging it into an extension lead isnt a great idea lol
..works fine now and only an hour into Crimson Desert and its fine so far, looks like the kind of game I can get lost in. The controls are weird but I actually don't mind that, I'm looking forward to playing a game that doesnt hold your hand and keeps telling you how to control your character all the time ! Though it does look garish in Quality mode 😬...
Will play this more when I finish a busy working couple of days.
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
The first Greedfall was the dictionary definition of "bang average".....as was Steel Rising.
I feel that all Spiders need is a mega budget to match their ambition and they could produce a belter
Not sure why people are saying this game has died ?
I play it every night on XBX and all maps and modes fill the 64 player count instantly ?
This isnt a live service game - its been this genre of multiplayer game since Battlefield 1942 first released back in 2002
Demons Souls on PS5 which im completely addicted to, im gonna run through this game with every class eventually. Top 5 of all time. The Outer Worlds 2 on XBX which is growing on me slightly, but one ill never play again.
Currently downloading Marathon which ill play all day tmrw, purely on a recommendation from @northern_munkey 😅 looking forward to.it, love Bungies shooters.
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
@Northern_munkey..gggrrr stop, youre pushing me over the edge to buy it right now...my fingers hovering over the "Purchase" icon.....always loved Bungies shooters. And its only £35, right ? Right?
@themightyant as much i loved Returnal I gave up at the 5th biome, it was just too difficult, soul destroyingly so. Like to think ill try again but likely won't. Enjoy !
Carrying on with Demons Souls remake - cant believe i left it this long ! ( though I did complete the original MANY times ) and its as superlative as ever. Love playing as a Royal, makes things that little bit easier, though ive died around 100 times 😅. This game will forever be on my hard drive. Also playing The Outer Worlds 2 on GamePass and to be fair im finding it a bit of a tedious slog - its literally Avowed in a sci fi skin ( Avowed is better ) which was a fantasy skin of the original Outer Worlds. But my OCD will make me complete it. Late night gaming sessions will be FF9 on PS Portal ( if I can stop the terrible lag ) Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
@OrbiterNightfall ....but you cant really compare the two games, based on review scores. They are literally different kinds of games, different genres.
It's like saying "so you think Gran Turismo 7 is as good as Horizon Zero Dawn then ? Because they both got 9/10??".....
( thats purely an example btw, don't quote me )
Comparing MGS Survive with Armored Core 6 off a review score is bizarre. Comparing it with Requiem, stranger still.
@LiamCroft ...that's told ya !! 😅..nothing like constructive criticism eh ? I don't think that guy understands that people have "opinions"....Sheesh
Your writing style and your reviews are great, BTW.
@themightyant ...i have a real love / hate relationship with the Yakuza games, for exactly the reasons you mentioned. Combat is a repetitive slog yet you feel compelled to carry on. I had the same feelings to Judgement, and i couldnt finish it. And ZERO is one of the better games, I think. But youre right, Kiwami 1 & 2 are a vast improvement ....enjoy !
In honour of Bluepoint Games, ive finally started Demons Souls and its as brilliant as ever. Been in my backlog for years but I played the PS3 version around 5 times back in 2010 on release. It will forever be in my top 10 of all time. The PS5 version is just as brilliant and stunning to look at. Playing as a Royal and making surprisingly good progress and making light work of the bosses so far. That muscle memory kicking in. Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 629
@Markatron84 ...it is a very special, unique game, despite the clunky, arena based combat
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 629
@Kraven ....thanks for that! You brought back some great gaming memories from the mid 00's for me with that ! Feeling very nostalgic now

Re: The Original Gothic RPG Trilogy Gets Three Separate 2026 Release Dates on PS5, PS4
Played these games to death on release on PC back in the mid 00's
Be warned - they are typically obtuse, old school, difficult and hardcore PC games
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 628
@GamingGod...
Some of those MP trophies are hard ! Ive only played it on XBX so far, not got 100% gamerscore on it as yet though. Kudos
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 628
@Zuljaras ...totally agree regards Valhalla - the only Ass Creed game ive never finished. Bored me rigid, hated the characters

A great game- played and completed it on GamePass earlier this year. Visually stunning and engaging, only slightly let down by the combat
