The stunning Hellblade 2 on Xbox. Ignore the haters, this is superb. Combat has a real heft to it, almost like you're actually in combat. Can't recommend it enough.
More Dragons Dogma 2.... I think I'll be playing this game until the end of time. Gonna be my GOTY without doubt

The biggest disappointment of last year. Dull characters, ridiculous side quests - its a game that has you playing as anything BUT Spiderman !
Why are the characters so dull and nice to everyone all the time ?? Peter and Miles are absolute wet lettuces, like Disney high school characters. And why does playing as both Spidermen feel more like I'm playing as a Jedi Knight ?
Those ridiculous open world filler side quests- no, I don't want to follow your grandads inhaler trail for 3 miles, no I have no interest in destroying atoms, yes I'm sick of playing Power Generator Simulater 2. Not to mention playing as a deaf girl tagging graffiti- just let me be Spiderman !!! Plus those annoying Danikasts.....really ?
I still can't believe Insomniac never listened to feedback on the first game that no one wants to play as stealthy Mary Jane ( the DUUULLLEESSTT, plastic character ) so they include more but hey, this time, let's give her a gun.
Overall, the writing and dialogue is terrible - pure PreTeen cringe. Peters voice when he wears the black suit is beyond cringe.
There was an added trophy for finishing New Game Plus ...play it again ? Never in a million years.

@LordFunkalot oh I agree, the last one, MW3, in particular, was pants ! But still a top seller.....the glory days have gone in terms of quality.
And oooh yeah, would love a new SOCOM, brings back great memories 😢😢

It's been the best selling game year on year on PS for years, even the ones deemed to be inferior, like Vanguard. It ain't going anywhere anytime soon, GamePass will not make the slightest bit of difference other than boosting MS coffers through billions of MTX sales

My good for nothing team of useless adventurers will keep getting asses kicked on PS5 Dragons Dogma 2 ...love this game, hilarious at times
And hopefully make more progress in the amazingly old school System Shock remake on PC. That's how you do a remake

Finally back on here after travelling around the Phillipines for 6 weeks. Got some serious gaming to catch up on woohoo.
So, started Dragons Dogma 2 which is fantastic but hard. I'm dying so often I'm role playing it as the most useless bunch of adventurers ever - eg falling off a bridge, swept into a river and dropped 200ft into another river by a huge waterfall ...love it
Also carrying on with Avatar on XBX, enjoying it immensely, far better than anticipated
And just finished the very challenging tutorials on Top Spin 5, I can see me getting my arse handed to me online later

@CutchuSlow because they were all out well over a year ago. Can't expect those pretty niche titles to be high in current sales charts !
Edit ! Apart from Infinite Wealth...but again, pretty niche JRPG

3 fantastic games. But be warned they are typically hardcore PC games - difficult, obtuse, complex and very much of their time. Metro games they ain't but have the best atmosphere in any game. Can't wait for this, if true

@Kidfunkadelic83 ..you really should get around to playing Mass Effect 2 ASAP. Its one of the best games ever made, hasn't aged. Its in my top 5 of all time. Utterly mind blowing
3 is fantastic too, with some of the best DLC ever, specifically The Citadel

The general consensus around seems to be that it's a ffaaarrr better game than everybody expected

This game is one big embarrassment after another. Maybe it's a feature for players to avoid playing the game altogether and get straight to the end game and all those sweet microtransactions 🤣🤑🤑🤑

Tekken 8 on PS5, been torn a new one online already lol. The best Tekken yet. Loved 7 but this raises the bar
Just finished Robocop Rogue City on XBX ..enjoyable fan service but a 00's bang average shooter
Also will finish Assassins Creed Mirage ..its good to finally finish an AC game in less than 200 hrs but this is a great game in its own right.
I'll also dip more into Avatar FoP on XBX, a graphical stunner and a fantastic open world adventure

Spiderman 2 which I must say is a big disappointment so far. Admittedly im only about 6 hours in but this game wants you to be everything BUT Spiderman ! Want to do mind numbing seed puzzles and grow rooftop gardens ? Want to do boring 'light mirror' puzzles ? Well here ya go ....and no I don't want to attend more crimes in progress 5 seconds after the last one. Hoping it improves
Also playing The Crew Motorfest which is great fun

@Zuljaras The 3DS version of Ocarina is the best version and it's a brilliant game still but not a very welcoming one ! Difficult to get into for sure. Stick with it ....but it's certainly aged like a bad curry

Trying to finish a 2nd in depth run of Baldurs Gate 3...this honestly deserves every award its won this week. In 30 yrs of gaming this is simply the finest game ever made. This is a once in a lifetime achievement most devs dream of and I don't think we'll see its like again for a long long time and I'm sure it will influence games for decades to come. In a year of stunning, brilliant games, I didn't think TOTK could be beaten but BG3 has knocked it out of the park
Also playing Spiderman 2 and this definitely DIDNT deserve to win any awards ! It's good fun but a rehashed open world, lots of bugs and lots of bloated filler. When I first had to reroute power generators I literally rolled my eyes in frustration, there was too much of that in the last 2 games ! And Peter Parker is such a limp, wet lettuce of a character.....
Will also play more Halo Infinite with more Starfield - a huge disappointment but weirdly I can't stop playing it

@Member_the_game ....yeah I know what you mean, wasn't having a dig. I own an XBX but use it mainly for their exclusives like Halo, Gears, Forza and some great strategy titles. etc I think it's a shame for gamers to miss out on them. My XBX is used mainly because I can't get all the games I want installed on PS5 due to hard drive space, so I use it like 'another hard drive' if you catch my drift. But performance wise I think XBX is fantastic...but like you, my heart belongs to PS and Sony

More No Man's Skyrim...sorry, Starfield ..its the epitomy of a 6/10 game, dull in places , poor quests, usual Bethesda stuff, yet I cannot stop loving it or playing it!
Halo Infinite ..peerless multiplayer still, this game gets a lot of flak but the campaign and MP are superb
Diablo 4 ..Still consuming my life !

@Deityjester .....After all the stunning games released this year, Dead Island 2 would be your choice ?? ..I'm not just saying this, but that game is the biggest pile of ***** I started to play. I uninstalled it after 5 hours.

More of the best game ever made (there, I said it ) in Baldurs Gate 3....I will literally never stop playing this masterpiece.
Sinking into the amazing Diablo 4 which if I'm not careful will consume my life
Will dabble into Forza Motorsport and StreetFighter 6...another GOTY contender
