Has the latest Battlefield 1 trailer left you hyped? Then maybe you'll be excited to learn that the game's open beta will go live from 31st August on the PlayStation 4. That's right, in just over two weeks' time, you'll be able to take the title for a spin on Sony's new-gen system – and EA's not even making you pre-order to get access.
Okay, so you will want an Insider Account if you intend to get early entry into the online stress test, and you can sign up for one of those through here. But if you're cool with waiting a few extra days, then you'll just need to check the PlayStation Store when the client goes live. We'll, of course, let you know when it's available.
The beta will include the Sinai Desert map from the new trailer, and will boast two classic modes: Conquest and Rush. If you didn't check out today's video, then you can find that through here. Before you leave us, though, let us know whether you're hungry to take to the trenches in the comments section below.

Cool, might give this a go. I will probably be rubbish and get killed lots and lots though. But i don't see why not.
Very excited for this and TitanFall, can't wait till November!
And I thought I was special for receiving an email for the beta that said I was in. Hahah oh well, the more the better.
I'm not buying this game on Day 1, hell no. I've learned my lesson from previous battlefield games, from BF bad company all the way up to BF3. After that I stopped buying them on release day.
Looking forward to this and I believe Nioh is next week too!
Amazing experience at E3, can't wait to play again at home!
Looking forward to the game. Talking of WW games whats happended to Verdun? that was meant to be launching at the end of the month for PS4.
@Kamikaze_Krunch it's the only game I order Day1 ! Had them all since 1942 (and every expansion) except Hardline . So glad it's gone away from modern day , hopefully ww2 again next. If only they would remake 1942 in its entirety with the U-boats , destroyers , Stukas etc . Think I had more fun on that game than any other ever , perhaps as it was my first foray into online gaming. Anyone remember the 1918 mod ?
@Kamikaze_Krunch hardline and SW BF both worked excellently from day 1,only bf4 was a bit ropy.
Bad company 1, 2 and BF3 also had a slew of problems on day 1. it took them over 6 months to fix the ones everyone were complaining about.
