@dskatter tbf GTAV has an upgrade path. I believe it was $10 at launch and went up to $20 later.

Finished the Virtuous mission last night it seems... fine? Didn't notice any framerate issues yet. So far, I'm liking it but the new control scheme is giving me issues. Unlearning 20 years of muscle memory takes a while lol

@michaelf Tri-Breaker is a big improvement over the first one. I’d give that one a shot if you enjoy Twin. The 3rd ship is hysterical 😂

I'm halfway through the second island and damn this game is SO MUCH EASIER with modern controls. The Tomb Raider remasters didn't fee right with modern controls but this game should have had them from the get-go. Great remaster! I just wish it included the second one which I never played before.

@Anke I'd imagine these will be separate from the main trophy list and won't be required for the platinum. Permadeath-related trophies are usually not part of the base trophy list but I could be wrong (I hope I'm not).

@belmont PS5 does update automatically but something like only your last 10 played games. I literally have never seen games need updates unless they leave my home screen.

@ShogunRok I've been playing on Balanced 40fps mode so that I can get the fancy hair effects outside of cutscenes and it's great how smooth it still feels. But the switch to Quality 30 in the hideout, and I thought the game was bugged. It's wild how big of a difference 10 fps is.

I’m about halfway through dragon quest 3 remake and also chipping away in my assassins creed series replay (currently up to black flag). On Vita, I’m working on platinuming Tales of Hearts R and almost done with my second play through to max out my level and finish misc trophies.

Anyone know how long the game is? I can handle grindy if it's a 30-40 hour game but if it's like DQ7 or 11 length...

Jeanne D'Arc was awesome! I definitely am going to revisit that one. That scene with the fire was truly heartwrenching and the twist was rather clever.

I played it on PS3 when they remastered it the first time and thought it was fine. It had elements of Jak & Daxter and Sly Cooper but I didn't feel it was as good as either. I never understood what the hype was about and certainly don't understand the clamor for a sequel that's been in development hell for as long as it's been. Might pick it up on sale if that sequel ever gets a release window.

@CWill97 Absolutely! The single player campaigns for the original trilogy are still amazing to this day.

I'm just glad they fixed the texture for the walls with netting that you can climb (TR2 Lara's home is the first place you see them). In the HD mode, the background and foreground were swapped and it looked really jarring.

@trev666 Sony had some new policy on PS5 where collections can't have more than 1 plat (Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection) but the fact this has no plat whatsoever is baffling.

Uncharted LoTC did have a platinum trophy tho. it was just 1 plat for both games. I don't see why there can't be a plat for all 3 TR games. That plat would be tough as nails tho!

@Athrum I'd say the current Steam/mobile versions are the worst, at least for 5&6. They redid the sprites and most agree they look terrible. As long as the menus are redone so that it tells you what items do, I'll be happy. That was one QOL improvement the various ports added.

I'm assuming Square's strategy is to saturate the PC/mobile sales first, then port them to other consoles so people will double dip. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if that were true.

It’s not that a remake wouldn’t be great, it’s that it’s unnecessary. It’s too soon to remake something that still to this day looks amazing. The controls may be a bit dated by today’s standards, but we really don’t need this at all.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if they released a collection of 1-5 including both P2 games on PS4/5? I still have yet to play 1 or either 2.

@God_of_Nowt PS download speeds are notoriously slow regardless of your connection speed. My Xbox One X downloads are way faster.
