I already split my gaming time 75% PS5 and 25% PC and that probably won't change next gen. While I have been all digital since the start of the PS5 that doesn't mean I want physical to go away.

Don't see why we can't have the best of both worlds, so while I can't do my part I'm rooting for the physical people to win this battle ✊🏻

Nintendo also likes money 🙂 if all publishers including Sony and Microsoft are digital only I doubt Nintendo will try hold the physical media mantle for the entire world.

This isn't going away as fast as Sony thinks, even if they don't go back some assurance that what you buy digitally will never be taken away would be better than nothing.

Well if you wanted to send Sony a message this would be pretty effective if enough people cancel. They don't care about YouTube comments or petitions, effect their money and they will respond one way or the other.

I really wonder who bought those 2 studios, everywhere big players like Tencent and Embracer Group are downsizing it couldn't be either of those

I hate nothing more than going backwards in a story, despise prequels. So I hope if there is a 3 game that he only appears in flashbacks at most!

Sony is probably counting on the news of Microsoft firing hundreds of employees to get some heat off of them but I don't think this will die down so easily.

Even if Microsoft & Nintendo announce today that they will not make anymore disc Sony will still be seen as the original architects of all this.

We been knowing Helix won't have physical media, Xbox was already half way there this gen. The problem is Sony knows that and decided that it will proudly hold the L for both Playstation and Xbox. Absolutely horrible leadership!

2028 is so far away why did they use their free will to decide that now is the right time to piss everyone off? They were riding nicely the GTA 6 wave even with the price increases, no one's even think of GTA 6 anymore.

Absolutely horrible leadership, If I was Xbox I would announce immediately that Helix will support physical media. It likely won't though, makes it more baffling that Sony decided it wanted to hold the L 🤦🏻‍♀️

Xbox is already half way there, they ship empty disc and don't even have shelf space in stores for physical media anymore just game codes.

Nintendo will be the only one with physical media next gen assuming they don't also join everyone.

Xbox was already half way there this gen, they will follow! also if you game on PC you are also all digital, Steam doesn't give you a physical game 🤷🏻‍♀️ You only option is Nintendo assuming they don't follow Xbox, Playstation and Steam.

I wish if they are going to close studios for them to do it already, hundreds of developers going to sleep not knowing if when they wake up they will still be employed 😐

Helman Hurst and Jim Ryan are/were terrible, that hasn't changed. But is best to keep in mind the downfall started with Layden, he's the reason we're paying for the honor to play our games online.

They really are dedicated to squeeze every last cent out of that old dlc, I respect it in a way but I will staying far away. Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is in my mind is the last good one.

If the PS5 Pro version isn't 60fps than I don't think Sony can claim is the best place to play, unless DF in their breakdown show the PS5 version running better.

While I like the controller features there are those who don't like the Dualsense, so for them it wouldn't be the best version (assuming the game runs the same on Xbox and PS5)

I hear and understand them but all that this will accomplish is them losing out on money, nothing else. Unless they can get all the big retailers on board this will be a fart in the wind.

@nomither6 Not it doesn't 😅 Saints Row always has a cartoon mix with realistic look, is very easy to spot. GTA 6 looks photo realistic, I'm actually impressed with what I'm seeing.

I have been craving a Souls game but I want the real thing, not these cheap western copycats 🤷🏻‍♀️ Can't wait to see what Miyazaki is cooking besides the Switch 2 game.

Almost double the price just to match the performance of the 6 year old PS5? Who's this made for? Obviously not the casual crowd and the PC crowd would want something way more powerful.

Is a combination of the sales and the next Xbox being able to say you can play Playstation exclusives there.

Base game will be $70! they wouldn't want any negative articles or negative reactions to the price increase, they want positive word of mouth to surround GTA 6.

@awp69 Not counting these rumored Xbox studio closures both Sony & Xbox are at overall about 14 studio closures each, that's allot of talent thrown in the garbage 🙁

I would love for Sony to acquire the studio with the only condition being that this Senua game gets scrapped. Them making Heavenly sword remake or part 2 would be sick, same goes for Enslaved. But these snore fest Hellblade games need to stop 👎🏻

@Hi569 I don't think it's a big loss with the first game, it's MP wasn't really popular and was barebones. Now if they make Halo 2 without multiplayer then yeah that would be a worthless port.

@HonestHick Ninja Theory is a very talented studio, they could make amazing action games if given the chance.

The problem is they are obsessed with making these slow and boring Hellblade games, the opposite of what they are good at 🫤

I was so relieved to see this, why? Because the game isn't about Atreus 😮‍💨 thank goodness I will definitely play this on day one!

The game exist, it is what it is but that doesn't mean you send it to die an even quicker death than anticipated. Like Sammy says it should be shown separately from the State of Play.

Sony can make a PlayStation blog post dedicated to the game AFTER the state of play! Otherwise It will suffer the same fate as Highguard but worse.

Jak and Dexter is my least wanted from all those games, I found them a bit boring although 3 is my favorite from the bunch.

Yes and their 1 trick was being the masters of remakes and remasters! Well is a good thing Sony is not currently into remaking and remastering their old games or anything 😌👍

They can't forget Festival of Blood! But yeah I'll take anything with the infamous branding at this point, is been long enough that is absolutely missed.

It's completely useless as is, those games are always going to be in the top 10 so this might aswell be a static image on our consoles 🤷

I play fighting games for the story and yeah I'm not sitting in the couch to watch a comic book for 10 hours! also would want to hold a dualsense all that time without playing anything? Making it multiplayer only would have been better

I'm surprised it's that high 🤷 It's an incredibly niche game within a very niche genre.

Returnal sold better because many of us where curious about it and just saw a new shiny Playstation exclusive, now they don't have the element of surprise
