Yup it's the first thing I noticed, polished to the most minimal pixel. Some might not like some of their most recent writing (not me though) but I don't think anyone can say they are not packed to the brim with talent.

Of course Capcom showed up with it's A game, they have been unstoppable since the PS4 era began (after a very mixed PS3 era)

No disagreements here, no other game has made me smile more while playing than Astro Bot. Can't wait to see how they follow this up!

I also join in the sentiment that most Fromsoft games should remain multiplat with only games like Bloodborne 2 (which comes out right after a Bloodborne remaster lol) and Demon's souls 2 being exclusives.

Ghost of Yotei is the only day one for me, actually is the only one from that list that interest me. I really hope we get a few surprises next year, I'm very curious about what Bluepoint is working on.

Most of the ground floor developers should still be there, it was just Hill and Walker that left and I remind you they steered the Titanic (SS) more than half way through. They only jumped from the ship when they saw the iceberg 🤷

That's not counting the press and buzz that GTA 6 will command, any game released close enough to it will have to sell itself with essentially zero coverage. I wouldn't even bother putting money on marketing said game as no one will be looking.

@naruball The most played games in the world are f2p, people just don't want Sony's attempt at trying to hit it big. They have one Success with three flops so far them being Destruction AllStars, Concord and Fairgame$ (you can feel it will be on this list 🙃)

Well hurry up with it Sony! I've been dying to upgrade from my PS Vita which I still use to this day, I want to stay in the PlayStation ecosystem which is why I haven't bother with other portables.

Pretty sure they are enjoying their systems, at the end of the day it's a PS5 so they get to enjoy the same games you're enjoying (the majority in better quality with 1-2 exceptions temporarily till they get patched again).

@KundaliniRising333 It's absolutely on the devs, who else would it be on? There have been incredible implementations of PSSR where it exceeds a native 4K image like in Stellar Blade and Forbidden West. So yes it's on the devs 🙂 (plus Ubisoft probably didn't give them enough time).

Looks like they want to sell no matter what so yeah I would prefer Sony over the others. Fromsoft is a bonus in the deal although I'm sure their games would stay multiplatform.

That's great news! MK1 in some ways felt like a step down from MK11 which itself was a step down from MKX. It needs to go back to being dark and gritty, make it so that in a way we feel like we're playing a horror game (again like MKX).

It will probably pass it and that's fine records are meant to be broken. That said it's time for a new Switch asap, I tried playing the other day on my giant TV and the games basically look like PS2 games to me 🤷

Give me a portable machine that can play my entire PS4/PS5 catalog (that I don't have to repurchase) with streaming for PS6 and I'll happily pay that $500-$600. They add in PS1/PS2/PS3 support and I can go up to $700!

You can currently play PC versions of Forbidden West, Black Myth, Ragnarok and many more on Steam Deck. Those are current gen games running natively on a portable, why can't Sony do something similar with their portable?

A remastered collection with all the GOW up to Ascension sounds lovely! what wouldn't be lovely is a crappy show or a crappy Lego 🙁

It's a bottom of the barrel Lego game, no one was taking time off from work to play it. I'm surprised it's even that high, most people have already forgotten it even exists.

Well if/when Sony releases their portable that would mean they would prioritize their portable over the Deck (and PC ports maybe start to dwindle) which is what I'm sure you're more afraid of.

Also as soon as this comes out the Steam Deck will take a back seat and Sony would have the number 2 most popular portable, like Sammy said the Steam Deck hasn't even sold as much as the Vita (aka one of Sony's biggest failure..after Concord!)

This wouldn't be aimed at Steam users, they have the Steam deck. This is for strictly PlayStation users who have a giant collection of PS4/PS5 (plus future PS6 titles) games and want to play it on the go.

As far as acquisitions go it makes the most sense besides Sony would probably keep all the FromSoft games multiplat except those that belong to Sony. They are only really interested in growing their anime empire to one of the biggest in the world.

Sir which is the game that's universally loved here on Push Square and the entire site has been begging to be remastered? I heard someone shout Bloodborne, who made that game? Demon's Souls is another one, FromSoftware is synonymous with PlayStation.

Still don't understand the desire to remaster games perfectly playable on current gen (with an exception only made for Bloodborne 😛). Let's get some remasters of fantastic games rotting away on the PS3!

It's safe to say Sony will have a Horizon game ready every year for the foreseeable future, I'm guessing Horizon 3 will be ready by 2026. So buckle up everyone Sony is going to make you love Horizon or else

Not a big deal this time as this game can probably run on the PS3 & Vita if they wanted, I'm more shocked at having to choose between performance and fidelity on PS5.

If I had to guess he's probably waiting for Lina Khan to be gone who was the most vicious against monopolies and acquisitions. So yeah expect Microsoft to go on a shopping spree again and no one will stop them 🤷

Currently averaging 70 on Metacritic which is what I expected from a vapid Lego game. I hope after this Guerilla slows down with trying to make Horizon happen, let it rest a bit and give us some other IP (new or old).

If this GOTY contender that has as much charm as anything else this gen doesn't do well then we absolutely deserve endless Live service games! If it's confirmed that it didn't sell much I hope Concord 2 gets announced along with Concord the animated series!

@DDDD You give them $40 worth of in-game skins, cosmetics and/or currency. They either turn it to F2P to have a fighting chance (maybe getting those 2,000+ players from the beta) or everything stays the same and the game is pulled in a couple of months so those who paid get to play dead air.

So then we should wait for the definitive PC version of the game which will be cheaper, look and run better? genius marketing right here! must be the same marketing team of Concord 😒

I don't see how Haven studios isn't panicking a bit, Fairgame$ debut trailer was received even worse than Concord. Is never a good idea to just power through the release day and while ignoring all the negative noise believing it will justb go away.

I don't understand why after they saw the initial backlash they didn't try to change course a bit. The first Sonic movie should have been the template on what to do if your product is received negatively instead of the approach of ramming it through the finish line and pray for the best.

Sony still one more potential flop in Fairgames which I'm guessing they will also try to ram it through the finish line while ignoring any outside noise 😐

For me Astro Bot is the clear winner, I'm actually very excited to see what else they do with the Dualsense as no other studio has come close to Astro's Playroom despite that being a launch title!

I hope the soundtrack is left intact or at least mostly as is, also I'm happy about the costumes as there were a few that didn't make it to PS3 at least in the US. All that aside it's a easy day one! I had a blast on the PS3 version, I wish we got more games like this that are light on story but a blast to play.

Very good news, I hope Sea of Thieves stays in numer one at least till Astro Bot releases. Why do I say this? cause that expedites me being able to possibly play Halo MCC and Killer Instinct on my PS5 🤞

Also what are we getting in return from this Nintendo partnership? Is Nintendo going to port some of their games to PlayStation? The answer is no of course not, everyone gets to give them their games and in return they don't have to share anything... Great partnership 👍
