Re: Game of the Year: #3 - Resident Evil 4

Definitely deserved to be top 3. Rooting for Baldurs Gate 3 getting no.1 spot now too! Also, assuming Hogwarts Legacy isn't in the top 2 (very unlikely), I am actually surprised not to see it in the top 10 atleast though. It was still a thoroughly entertaining game, and led the way back in February.

Currently playing a few right now. Still (purposely) slowly getting through Final Fantasy XVI. Just loving this game so much. Then also going through Resogun on Veteran difficultly which is an experience in itself. Hard but gratifying gameplay. Then when I need to relax I am about 80% done with the Omno platinum. Which i hope to get before New Year! Happy gaming all

I went with
1. My GOTY is Final Fantasy XVI. It exceeded my expectations massively.
2. Hogwarts Legacy truly everything i wanted in a Hogwarts Game. And has created strong foundations to be explored in a sequel.
3. Baldurs Gate 3. Probably the best game mechanically of them all and a deserved winner. But doesnt break my top 2.
4. Jedi Survivor. Small bugs aside, bettered everything from its predecessor.
5. Resident Evil 4 - perfectly remastered a perfect game.

Been on a hot streak of completing some of my old backlog of games and getting the platinum (Black Flag, Skyrim, MK11 to name 3). Therefore will be finally completing new game plus for Arkham Knight for the platinum. Then maybe also continue on with Final Fantasy XVI on the hardest difficulty, which is my personal Game Of The Year.

Re: Sony: We're Not Just Creating 10 Live Service Destiny or Fortnite Games

JonnyAces

The only one i am really looking forward to is the upcoming Factions game. And how Naughty Dog have expanded it.
As an experienced Ex Destiny 2 player, the concern with bringing out so many live service games, is an average gamer has only a limited amount of hours in the day to play. So at most we may gravitate towards one live service out of the ten. Therefore there is a real risk that upto 9 of these could not get the expected playerbase and become the next Anthem or Avengers.
We all know live service games run the risk of this, so it would make us hesitant in taking the financial plunge initially. Sony will need to be very careful and clever in how they release these.

Re: Resident Evil 4 Remake Roughly 'the Same Length' as the Original

JonnyAces

To be fair though, i was hoping it would atleast match the originals time length. But I still worry that they will cut major plots throughout, as this isnt a guarantee they haven't. As already shown, they have elongated the first 5 mins of the original to make it a 15 minute portion. So if they have done this consistently and the overall length only match the original, then it does lead me to believe portions of the game has been cut.
With all that being said, i am still excited for it though.
