I definitely want a deep dive into the gameplay mechanics before I get my hopes up super high. But for now I definitely remain interested in it. It looks stunning just from the limited screen shots and trailer released.

Will be cracking on with the Echo episode for Destiny 2. As well as dipping into Mortal Kombat to acquire the platinum. Happy Gaming All!

Late to the posts. But managing to get more game time in now, in the evenings. Therefore, continuing on with Destiny 2. And also finishing off the Returnal platinum. Completed act 3, just need to finish off the last two zones (rng is killing me) and then finish the DLC off too. Happy Gaming All.

The gunplay feels fine and it has potential. But i dont think it will be taking Destiny 2 off its pedestal any time soon!

Spending a lot of time in hospital with my son. So its mostly Switch gameplay. With the likes of Deaths door, Sonic Superstars and Super Mario.

My son is in the hospital with a brain tumour so gaming is not on my agenda for the foreseeable. But its good to read what everyone else will be playing over the weekend. Happy Gaming all.

Actually a decent month for me. Have recently got back into Destiny 2 and was ready to get the new Lightfall dlc, so this was welcome. And my son will be really into Tunic too!

Got my partner into Destiny 2. So we are going through her new light journey over this weekend. Other than that, it will be cleaning up some survey runs for the Returnal platinum. Happy Gaming All.

Even though Helldivers didnt get top spot or end up not winning any game of the year awards, at years end. This was and will remain the surprise hit of 2024! No one predicted how big it would blow up, not even the developers (as shown by the server cap issues). It is a great underdog tale, a great addition to show how live service should be done. and I hope it gets all the accolades it deserves by years end. For Democracy.

The main (and only) point I get from all this, is that there is definitely no Dead Space sequel being made. Which is really saddening!

Really looking forward to this!! Now the challenge is to try not to sink the full 8 or so hours into it straight away!

Gaming will be taking a backseat this weekend. Have a work trip I am going to instead. Maybe some Dragons Dogma 2 on the Sunday evening though. Happy Gaming all!

Have been watching and enjoying Shogun, which is a fantastic show. Which has left me in the mood to jump into Ghost Of Tsushima. The graphics are beautiful. The gameplay is butter smooth. Enjoying this alot. Will also be doing some coop with my son too. So the likes of Shredders Revenge, Knack 2, Crash Team Racing and Marvel V Capcom will be getting some game time! Happy Gaming All!!

We are in desperate need for a great tennis game!! I really hope this delivers the goods!

I will be continuing playing Unravel with my eldest son. As well as finally starting Final Fantasy Remake. So i can then jump on Rebirth once this playthrough is done. Happy Gaming All.

@Neptunes lets be honest, echoes of the fallen is no blood and wine dlc in terms of size. Its a very small addition which generally plays no big part in the story either. All they would have needed to do was reuse some assets from the main game. Record some additional lines and easily implemented in within 1 year of game releasing. It definitely did not feel like cut content either. As it served no real purpose to the main games storyline. It never felt like the story without it was missing anything either. But you believe what you believe. I certainly believe them when they said they released a full standalone game initially and havent seen anything to change my mind.

@Stevemalkpus yeah, we bought the bundle for £5. Which included both games. But my son wanted to go from the start rather than jump straight into number 2! so far we are both enjoying it.

Will be playing Unravel with my 7 year old son mostly. But then in the evening will be jumping on Helldivers 2 with friends. The game is endlessly enjoyable and chaotic. Will also finish off Final Fantasy difficultly on FFXVI for the platinum. Happy Gaming All.

I am so on the fence with this one.
I love the style and Starship Troopers vibes it gives. The gameplay looks fun. But the live service side gives me worry.
Any news when reviews go live?? Really want to check a few out before i pull the trigger!

Currently playing No Return for TLOU pt2. Having a lot of fun with this new game mode. Just makes me sad on what could have been with Factions.
Then also cleaning up some trophies on Final Fantasy XVI. Happy gaming all.

And also decided to finally get the Tekken 7 platinum, now its been confirmed to leave Extra in February.

Definitely deserved to be top 3. Rooting for Baldurs Gate 3 getting no.1 spot now too! Also, assuming Hogwarts Legacy isn't in the top 2 (very unlikely), I am actually surprised not to see it in the top 10 atleast though. It was still a thoroughly entertaining game, and led the way back in February.

Currently playing a few right now. Still (purposely) slowly getting through Final Fantasy XVI. Just loving this game so much. Then also going through Resogun on Veteran difficultly which is an experience in itself. Hard but gratifying gameplay. Then when I need to relax I am about 80% done with the Omno platinum. Which i hope to get before New Year! Happy gaming all

I went with
1. My GOTY is Final Fantasy XVI. It exceeded my expectations massively.
2. Hogwarts Legacy truly everything i wanted in a Hogwarts Game. And has created strong foundations to be explored in a sequel.
3. Baldurs Gate 3. Probably the best game mechanically of them all and a deserved winner. But doesnt break my top 2.
4. Jedi Survivor. Small bugs aside, bettered everything from its predecessor.
5. Resident Evil 4 - perfectly remastered a perfect game.

Was just able to preorder too! Cannot wait for it. Excited to check out the new modes. And that steelbook is a beauty.

I'm hyped for it, for sure. The graphics especially look really good.

If they add a steelbook to this ultimate edition, it may be worth dipping into? However if not, seems a better idea to just buy the base game and dlc seperately on a discount. Not seeing anything which makes this edition more enticing than the base game honestly.

Been on a hot streak of completing some of my old backlog of games and getting the platinum (Black Flag, Skyrim, MK11 to name 3). Therefore will be finally completing new game plus for Arkham Knight for the platinum. Then maybe also continue on with Final Fantasy XVI on the hardest difficulty, which is my personal Game Of The Year.

Absolutely will be buying this a second time! I also hope they release a steelbook to go alongside it. That and the extra content would make a full price purchase worth it.

Finally!? This is what I have been holding out for! Will definitely be picking this up! Hopefully they release it with a sweet steelbook to go with it.

I don't think one game is a certainty! This year has been crazy good in quality of releases! I will be cheering on my favourite, Final Fantasy XVI. But I also wouldn't be disappointed if Baldurs Gate 3 took the win!

Later than usual. But i have now acquired the platinum for Black Flag. So apart from my ongoing couch coop on BG3, will have to pull another game from my backlog to focus on.

Been following you guys since way back in 2014! Happy 500! I will be cracking on with Baldurs Gate as well as finishing off the last few trophies for the Black Flag platinum. Which coincidentally was a game i first started way back in 2014.

Still going through Baldurs Gate 3 co-op with my partner! We are having a blast with it. Then also platinum hunting in Black Flag also. Happy gaming all.

I bet all that money they pumped into acquiring(borrowing) major Ip rights from the likes of Marvel and Star Wars, was more than all the lay off yearly wages combined. Seems to have got their priorities mixed. :/

From my experience with Witcher 3 i knew CdPR would get the game to where it should have been from release. Think people forget how rocky Witcher 3 was at release. Have been waiting for an ultimate release with the DLC included.

Been very close to buying the Ascent a few times in the past. So this is the highlight of the selection for me.

Will be finally getting around to finishing the Diablo 4 story, ready for season 1. Then also jumping back into FFXVI.

Inbetween watching The Witcher season 3 part 1, i will be continuing with FFXVI and Diablo 4.

For me its jossling as best game I've played this year. Easily a 9 in terms of gameplay and the story , if it maintains its quality could even be a 10! I am enjoying it immensely.

Most of my time will be spent exploring Final Fantasy 16 further. Having such a blast with it. But then also finding some time with Diablo 4 too. Busy weekend for sure!

If it was my choice, Resident Evil Outbreak, all day long. I think an updated version of this is ripe for the current generation we are in.

I love this for the replayability. But I am praying it's not required to complete it, to obtain the platinum. I would rather it be an optional playthrough, without the added stress of having to do it, to 100% it.

Needs to really do something special to set this apart from the rest though! Hard to wrestle players from their favourite mmorpg's these days
