A brand new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game inspired by action RPGs such as God of War is in the works, it's been confirmed. The title will be based on the graphic novel The Last Ronin, which told a darker story based on the famous turtles and was released in 2020. The studio making the game hasn't been revealed just yet, but we know the project is still a "few years off" from any sort of release.
Paramount Global's Doug Rosen likened the upcoming TMNT game to Kratos' rebooted PS5, PS4 experiences, with a plot that's authentic to The Last Ronin. While you'll mainly play as a single character, the opportunity to take the reigns as other turtles could be sourced from flashback sequences. It's described as an "ambitious AAA" game, so something fans will likely want to keep their eye on.
Told across five issues, The Last Ronin focuses on just one of the Turtles, as the other three have been murdered by the Foot Clan. A dark and gritty Ninja Turtles game is what I've been hoping for for years now. Generations even. While this isn't exactly what I was hoping for, it's close enough. Fingers crossed this turns out phenomenal.
Either Paramount or Nickelodeon announced that a new "AAA" TMNT game was launching this year alongside the new movie...and that turned out to be some bs Roblox tie-in thing, so you'll excuse me for having literally zero trust in this.

Great comic, could be neat, been wanting a game that explores some of the TMNT comics.
reading god of war labeled as an “action rpg” stings a bit , knew they weren’t talking about the OG hack n slash ones .

The problem for me is. The turtles have only ever looked good in the 90s cartoon and the original live action films in my opinion.
So I'd of rather had a triple A game made about that era than the Last Ronin.
I just dont want shell shaded graphics I want top notch turtles in god of war graphics.
But ill definitely keep my eye on this and play it regardless.
But just 1 turtle playable for there first triple a outing. Not read the last ronin though. Probably should
