If they've finally made the multiplayer competitive like in Killzone (CoD likes to hold your hand a lot), then I just may be buying my first ever CoD this year.
@mitcHELLspawn They aren't downsizing much, if at all, so "Japanese Giant" is still accurate.
As for their billion dollar loss, that won't be much of an issue since Sony Pictures and Sony Computer Entertainment are doing so well - even their smartphone/tablet division is making money, which just further invalidates your "not so great at anything else" claim.
I've played racing games at 30 & 60fps and I haven't seen a difference. 30fps didn't affect my enjoyment of the game, nor did it disrupt my sense of immersion.
Basically, I'm still getting DriveClub, 60fps or not.
Da*n, that is one sexy patch! I was not expecting them to add more voice commands, but it's a very welcome addition. Look at me talking like I have a PS4 to take advantage of these features...
Freedom Wars got my vote, just when I think it can't get any better, a new trailer hits the net. Oreshika and Destiny are also on my radar, but FW takes priority.
I'm surprised that Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment didn't make the list, it looks like it's going to be big here in the west, especially after how well received the anime was.
@Sanquine I know what he's talking about, but there isn't much, if any, resemblance. It's more akin to a move from Code Geass, where Knightmares would grapple onto a wall and use it as a vantage point.
@rjejr It may not be talked about here, but people are excited for it. Even I'm thinking of picking up the Vita version and I'm not even a fan of baseball.
"Speculation suggests that the manufacturer’s also partnered with Warner Bros for Batman: Arkham Knight"
I wouldn't be surprised seeing as Sony and Warner/DC seem to be pretty close; Sony snagged exclusive content for Arkham Asylum & Origins, DC helped with the cutscenes in the first Infamous, DC published an Infamous, Injustice is PS4 exclusive, then there's DCUO - was the free Catwoman dlc in Arkham City exclusive?
That said, Sony came into this generation with their guns loaded and they've barely fired any shots. Meanwhile, Microsoft blew their load with Titanfall - which did next to nothing - and now they're scrambling for cover.
The delays were a blessing in disguise and Sony will only benefit from them. If The Order: 1886 launches this year, then it and DriveClub will carry the PS4 for a good while.
With that out of the way, I'd like some Vita exclusives, Vita TV coming west and some Uncharted 4 & The Order: 1886 footage. I'd also like to see what Media Molecule is working on.
The average gamer may not be able to tell the difference, but that's what the internet is for. If someone just wants the most powerful console, then they're going to take to the internet and find out which system runs multiplats better.
Most will just ask an employee at whatever store they plan on purchasing their system from, but someone who's looking for the most bang for their buck is going to do the legwork for themselves.
@JaxonH There's much more than those few AAA's, those are just the only ones people can seem bothered to notice for some strange reason.
I do agree that it needs more games that'll attract the mainstream crowd, but if it can keep pulling in the niche JRPG lovers, then I can see Activision and EA taking notice of the growing install base and putting out a real Call of Duty or Battlefield/NFS.
"... it allows you to focus on other things without having to worry that someone mashing buttons might accidentally uncover the cache of “personal” videos stored on your XMB."
With all these localizations, the likelihood of Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment coming West is fairly high. Especially after how well received the anime was.
@NintendoNaut Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but yours is just plain ridiculous. Most dubs are very well done and sometimes pack an equal amount of, if not more emotion, than their subbed Japanese counterparts.
If you've yet to hear a good dub, then you're either purposefully avoiding them or haven't even attempted to give one a chance, because there are a plethora of very good dubs out there. I will admit that some dubs are pretty awful (Fairy Tails Animax dub, etc.), but to say that all of them are "jarring," "forced" or "emotionless."
It didn't help the bone much, so I doubt it would have done anything for the Vita, though having a decent CoD-esque FPS under its belt could have brought in a good number of casuals.
@baconcow It's only been a few months, I'm sure theyre working on everything you're unhappy with. But if you really want your voice to be heard, then you can Twitter-bomb Shuhei Yoshida and he'll talk to the team behind the updates if enough people have similar complaints.
I'd shove my money down Sony's throat if they made some TLOU, DriveClub and The Order: 1886 transitions and stickers. Of course, they'd have to be reasonably price. I'm thinking 50cents for stickers and 1.00-1.25 for transitions would be good.
@Paranoimia Get out. Im kidding, I think the inability to upload footage to YouTube is weird too, but most people seem happy with Twitch and Ustream.
@get2sammyb Just that maybe the video editing software rumoured to be included with the next system update could add this functionality for every game.

Re: Feature: Three Things You Must Know About PS4's Evolved FPS Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Re: Sorry PS4, You'll Have to Wait for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's DLC
@mitcHELLspawn They aren't downsizing much, if at all, so "Japanese Giant" is still accurate.

Re: How's Sony Doing Financially Now That the PS4's Out?
@Sanquine I wouldn't say they overprice things, it seems like they sell their products at a high price because of the quality.
Re: There's a Downside to PS4 Racer DriveClub's Outrageous Visuals
I've played racing games at 30 & 60fps and I haven't seen a difference. 30fps didn't affect my enjoyment of the game, nor did it disrupt my sense of immersion.
Basically, I'm still getting DriveClub, 60fps or not.
Re: Who Would Win Wednesdays: Heihachi Mishima vs. Jude Mathis
Heihachi rhymes with Kenpachi, so he has no choice but to win.
Seriously though, Heihachi could easily snap Jude in half with just a flick of his wrist.
Re: PS Vita Firmware Update 3.15 Refreshes Remote Play Setup
@Jazzer94 @Punished_Boss Remote Play is just a bonus for owning a PS4 and Vita. The Vita is still getting its own games, so it's not an issue.
Re: Are There Any Hidden Features in PS4 Firmware Update 1.70?
Da*n, that is one sexy patch! I was not expecting them to add more voice commands, but it's a very welcome addition. Look at me talking like I have a PS4 to take advantage of these features...

Re: DriveClub Takes to the Track from 7th October on PS4
I wonder if my body is ready for this.
Re: DriveClub Takes to the Track from 7th October on PS4
@eLarkos That makes no sense, especially when the launch lineup was already looking really good.
Re: This Freedom Wars Footage Raises Plenty of Questions
@Sanquine I know what he's talking about, but there isn't much, if any, resemblance. It's more akin to a move from Code Geass, where Knightmares would grapple onto a wall and use it as a vantage point.
Re: This Freedom Wars Footage Raises Plenty of Questions
@Gemuarto Hmm, I don't see it.
Re: This Freedom Wars Footage Raises Plenty of Questions
@Gemuarto or maybe they're Spider-man fans.

Re: PS4 Exclusive The Order: 1886 May Be Bigger Than One Game
It's not even out yet, but I think it deserves to bea franchise. Most other franchises are complete crap, but The Order: 1886 is looking really good.
Re: PS4 Racer DriveClub to Be Re-Revealed in the Weeks Leading Up to E3
I was just thinking about DriveClub last night and I said we should be hearing about it soon. I'm a wizard.
Re: This $300 Vita DLC Doesn't Look Especially Cost Effective
Will someone please explain to me how her pajamas are even slightly skimpy? I keep hearing it, but I just can't see it!
On a more serious note, I'd be willing to pay $3 for this costume. I love Asuna and will defend her until my last breath, but $293 is insane.
Re: PS4 Executive Shuhei Yoshida Planning 'Very, Very Exciting' E3
Just bring back Jack Tretton, the King of E3!
With that out of the way, I'd like some Vita exclusives, Vita TV coming west and some Uncharted 4 & The Order: 1886 footage. I'd also like to see what Media Molecule is working on.
Re: DualShock 4 Dimming Confirmed for PS4 Firmware Update 1.70
My neighbor never had any complaints and neither have I when playing his PS4, but at least this'll shut people up.
Re: Don't Worry, Sony Still Has a Curious Fondness for Rubber Ducks
That dinosaur looked so lifelike and those shadows were top-tier.

Re: This Is Your First Look at PS4 Firmware Update 1.70 in Action
@nameuser81 A PlayStation app update is rumored to be coming out the same day, which will enable that.
Re: Feature: Kickstarter Monthly Round Up - Issue One
I've got my eye on Hover and Mechrunner.
Re: Rise Kujikawa Struts Off the Stage and into the Ring in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax
I'd do anything if it meant senpai would finally notice me.
Re: Is Lords of the Fallen the PS4's Answer to Dark Souls?
Looks almost nothing like Dark Souls.
Re: Choose Your Incredibly Cool Looking Weapon with Freedom Wars' New Japanese Trailer
The L·6E1 and giant katana are my favorites.
Re: Who Would Win Wednesdays: Raiden vs. Sephiroth
Raiden has this won.
Re: Rumour: Is Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution Hopping onto Vita?
I'm still waiting for a good Bleach game.
Re: What's Next for Prince of Persia? Ubisoft Doesn't Want You to Know Yet
"Apparently, the title will be 2D, but the hero will be animated in a way that makes him look 3D"
I was mid-squeal until I got to this part. I'm not a big 2D fan, so my hype flew out the window before it developed.

@SuperSilverback So basically, you're saying you haven't seen 00 Gundam?
Re: Set Sail in One Piece: Unlimited World Red This June
I do love me some Ace, so my sights are set on the day one edition.
Re: Believe It or Not, PS4 Has Way More Games Than You Think It Does
@ZeD Cars, televisions and smartphones were niche products, and I think we all know what happened to them.
And maybe some people want to experience CoD or BF on the go, so your hopes are irrelevant.
Re: Believe It or Not, PS4 Has Way More Games Than You Think It Does
@JaxonH There's much more than those few AAA's, those are just the only ones people can seem bothered to notice for some strange reason.

Re: Believe It or Not, PS4 Has Way More Games Than You Think It Does
B-B-But the PS4 has a lot of Indies and no Titanfall, this list was obviously made by Sony because they're losing.
@JaxonH I don't see how, the Vita is getting a lot of AAA and indie games this year.
Re: Pachter: Sony Would Probably Like to Get Call of Duty DLC Exclusivity
They should use some of that money for new IP's instead of renting/buying them from 3rd parties.
Re: Review: SingOn (PlayStation Network)

I know those feels.
Re: This PS4 Game Will Allow You to Expose the Underwear of Strangers
PS4 sales are going to explode.
Re: So, the PSP Almost Matched the Vita's Sales in USA Last Month
At least both are selling, though looking at the numbers, I wouldn't call that "almost" outselling.
Re: Japan Keeps on Giving as Tales of Hearts R is Confirmed for a Western Vita Release
With all these localizations, the likelihood of Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment coming West is fairly high. Especially after how well received the anime was.
Re: March NPD: PS4 Overcomes Titanfall to Top Hardware Charts Again
@Jazzer94 B-B-But IGN said that Titanfall was the most anticipated game of 2014, and they're never wrong. </sarcasm>
Re: March NPD: PS4 Overcomes Titanfall to Top Hardware Charts Again
I knew this would happen, I've been saying it would since January.

Re: Opinion: Could SHAREfactory on PS4 Become a Bit of a Cash Cow?
I'd shove my money down Sony's throat if they made some TLOU, DriveClub and The Order: 1886 transitions and stickers. Of course, they'd have to be reasonably price. I'm thinking 50cents for stickers and 1.00-1.25 for transitions would be good.
@Paranoimia Get out. Im kidding, I think the inability to upload footage to YouTube is weird too, but most people seem happy with Twitch and Ustream.
