Re: Delayed PS4 Title DriveClub Is 'Really Innovating in the Racing Genre'

I'm in complete agreement with Gara. There's no point in releasing a half finished product that is likely full of bugs (lookin' at you, Battlefield!) and broken promises, when you can release a game that lives up to the expectations that have been set.

I have faith in Evolutions ability, so while I am frustrated that no new release date has been set, I'm fine with waiting so long as DriveClub is 100% ready for launch.

Re: Rumour: PS Vita Slim Will Not Shrink the System's Price by Much

@Sanquine The price is already low enough, dropping it any further would cause them to lose even more money and when you consider the fact that their already taking a $60 hit with each PS4, it's easy to see why they're reluctant to do another price cut.

As for game announcements, there have been a surprising amount of 3rd party announcements for the Vita here in the west, but they do need to put their internal studios to work on Vita titles.

And I agree, Sony doesn't advertise the Vita at all.

@Cloud7794 When you have to fight metahumans on a daily basis, you have to stay prepared or you die.

@JMC Ra's al Ghul, Joker, Deathstroke, Mr. Fries and far more memorable and socially relevant than any of Snakes enemies. In 30 years, people will still remember those names, while Snake will have probably faded into obscurity.

Re: Want Backward Compatibility on PS4? You May Get Better

My hype just skyrocketed, the guys at Sony are technological wizards and they know just how to keep us on our toes.

I hope that they're talking to 3rd parties at getting their games on PSNow, because I'd love to be able to play Tekken Tag Tournament and Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 on Vita or PS4.

Re: Talking Point: Is the Vita Really Dying a 'Slow, Painful Death'?

As I said last week, GameStop is selling makeshift PS4 Remote Play bundles and it's currently the top seller. Meaning that the Vita is starting to gain some steam now, all its missing is more first party support and it'll be fine.

And the Vita has supposedly been dying for a year or so, which just tells me that the Vita is immortal and won't be going anywhere.

Re: Investment Firm Encourages You to Steer Clear of Sony's Stock

@nathanuc1988 Sony's partnership with T-Mobile is starting to increase Xperia awareness, but the TV's are my biggest concern. I've yet to see a commercial about any Bravia TV and then there's the insane price.

Sony needs to build a TV the same way they built the PS4 and advertise the hell out of it. They also need to advertise their phones, they can't expect T-Mobile to do all the work for them.

@RyoHazuki I've owned a lot of Samsung phones and they aren't that great, even the Galaxy S3 or 4 is overrated. Samsung and Apple phones are going to sell based on brand name, not product quality.

I was actually thinking of upgrading to a better Samsung phone, but then I used an Xperia Z1 and then Sony announced the Z1 Compact at CES - which has better specs than the Galaxy S3 & S3 Mini, which is what I planned on upgrading to - and now I don't want anything to do with a Samsung phone for a good, long while.

White House Down was actually a very good movie, I don't see why it bombed. WHD aside, I can see Sony's smartphone division doing pretty well if the Xperia Z1 Compact is well received, which it should be because it has better specs than most other popular phones.

Their TV divisions problems continue to baffle me, because they make some pretty solid TV's. I have an old KDL model Bravia TV, and the picture and sound quality are amazing.

Re: EverQuest Next Could Be PS4's Most Ambitious Game

I can't wait to get my handed on this, I haven't played a MMO in years and EQN is looking fantastic.

I'm also hoping Namco ports Tekken Revolution to the PS4, there aren't enough fighting games on it and Tekken Revolution could help fill the void until the next Tekken game.

Re: Fasten Your Seat Belt for Fresh Footage of PS4 Racer DriveClub

@Gamer83 I've seen tons of hype on Facebook and YouTube, so people are obviously still interested.

And I doubt a subpar studio could do something like this, even the Motorstorm series is fairly exceptional. Not to mention that DriveClub is continuously being Project CARS, which is no small feat.

Frankly, DriveClub still has the potential to make an impact since it hasn't been that long since it's delay.

Re: PS Vita Will Die a Slow and Painful Death, Says Michael Pachter

I was using the GameStop app the other day and at the top of the best seller list was the PS4 Remote Play bundle, so if it's even pulling in half of what the PS4 does alone, then the Vita is in the clear for the moment.

Pachter just needs to quit, because he's terrible at his job. Here's a link to the screenshot: https://fbcdn-photos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/t1/1528496_665073613536115_2009483153_n.jpg

Re: The Last of Us: Left Behind 'Exceeds the Narrative Density' of the Core Campaign

“You’ll have some extremely challenging fights, and some of those will be showcasing some new features that we’ve added to the combat,” Minkoff added. “Multi-faction combat means that humans and infected – both enemy factions of you, the player – can fight each other.”

That's all I needed to hear. I loved how well-crafted and immersive the campaign was, but I was a little disappointed that you couldn't fight both the hunters and infected.

Hopefully this feature is implemented in a sequel, it'd make the game far more interesting while at the same time boosting the already impressive sense of immersion.
