One of the most beautiful, yet boring games I've ever played. Sony need to pull their finger out, all their games this gen are about as fresh as a moudly cabbage!

This is the game of the year, no doubt about it. Nothing else touched it.
Ragnarok was awarded 10's before most reviewers even pushed past the title screen. Either that or most value pretty graphics & dodgy stories over gameplay (although I believe this has been the case for years!)

Ragnarok was good, but just more of the same. How people can say it smashed their expectations is beyond me. It's not like going from Ocarina Of Time to Majora's Mask, it's like going from God Of War.....to God Of War. Which, once again isn't a bad thing, but man the way you guys carry on you'd think its 1996 again & Mario 64 just came out.

I'd love if Sony had been secretly working away at a killer new IP, ready to be unleashed next year. Bring back the creativity & magic to Playstation, all these sequels & remakes are so boring!

Colin Moriarty said it best: not sure why games are chasing Hollywood, gaming leaves Hollywood in the dust. They're the ones who need to catch up. All these unoriginal ideas certainly doesn't help the case.

Next gen? So PS6 level visuals?

I don't mind at all. They gave players a big game to end the year on, which is uncommon for them (Especially one of their tentpole releases). Give me a game to play over a bunch of trailers & phony promises anyday! I hope this becomes a new, better tradition: big new release just before the holiday season😁

It took me 2 weeks and 1 day. I had a jolly old time. Did Atreus remind anyone else of Peter Parker or was it just me? Haha

I'd like to see them make something like an older 3D Zelda game (Ocarina of time, Twilight Princess). With big dungeons, puzzles, unique items. Nobody is making these games anymore, it's crazy (not even Nintendo!) I felt the slightest whiff of this in Ragnarok, I would love to see what they could pull off if given the chance.

PS plus as a whole stinks. Just give us free online play, or at a heavily discounted rate. You can keep the rest, it stinks.

I'm playing 007 From Russia With Love on Gamecube. Never played it back in the day, so far its quite fun. Having Sean Connery voicing Bond adds so much to the experience. EA had a good thing going on with the 007 licence in the early 2000's shame it had to end.

I'm sure it'll be great with the $25 budget Embracer gives them.

@JAMes-BroWWWn I agree, the soundtrack really stood out. There was a track which played during chaotic scenes, where it almost sounded like someone forcing an old record player to play in reverse. It captured the scene perfectly

@ApostateMage @Agramonte I agree, she's exceptional. The character of Amicia is so well written & acted. She has flaws, vulnerabilities, & a wide range of emotions over the course of the game (and boy does she go through alot!) The result is outstanding character development, making others (Aloy for example) come across as planks of wood in comparison.

I don't care really, that's why I play on console. Plug, play, accept it for what it is. If you want 60 on every game, get a decent PC. It's not like Sony hasn't been training you up towards that anyway!

I'll be starting A Plague Tale: Requiem, Mario + Rabbids: Sparks Of Hope, with a bit of Top Gear on the snes as well.

Playstation were the only ones of the big 3 giving us fresh new IP each gen, it was probably the biggest draw for alot of gamers. Xbox would shove Halo, Gears, Forza down your throat ad nausea, Nintendo the same with Mario, Zelda & reselling you the same old games til the end of time.
Playstation always seemed to be above that, giving you good reason to upgrade to the latest console with great new IP to demonstrate it.
Now, they seem just as boring as the other 2, and that's really disappointing. And all these TV shows coinciding with games? It just feels like what MS attempted to do with Quantum Break, somehow feeling even more desperate for relevance.
Announce some new (non Marvel) games already, stop thinking you're Nintendo, & just pull your head out of your ass.

This gen started off with a bang, but since then has all but completely fizzled out for me. Sequels, remakes, Marvel, Star Wars, Marvel zzzzzzzzz...
PS5 has sold more than enough consoles to justify some exclusive games, never been a problem for any other console in the past, even for those with much fewer units sold.
This gen really has been so dissapointing so far, I rarely play my PS5 these days.

What a coincidence, just this week I bought Scooby Doo: Night Of 100 Frights for Gamecube😁 Looking forward to trying it, tis the season & all.
Apart from that maybe some Splatoon 3 & Valkyrie Elysium.

I gave it a try, got past the tiger, then had enough. I can see why some people might like it, but I didn't enjoy it that much. It felt a bit clunky, and controls unresponsive (or I'm just that crap at it). But most of all, I think I'm a bit over the souls style games at the moment.

Some awesome looking stuff in there, namely Call Of Ronin, Ragnarok, & Like A Dragon: Ishin (just hook it directly into my veins!)
That mech game looked interesting too. So yeah, good stuff.

Why not announce a pointless remake to go along side this & your upcoming Star Wars game, go for the full melatonin trifecta? So boring

Didn't buy it. I respect my time & money a bit too much. ($125 in Australia, yeah right...)
Plus I've always thought this game was super duper overrated. People always bang on about the story, but very rarely the gameplay. And that's because it's average at best. It seems frequent in gaming these days, go watch a movie, read a book (or play one of the Yakuza games) if you want a decent story.
This is my opinion, so if you don't agree, that's ok. I really don't care.

I think they should both shut their mouths & focus on creating fresh, new experiences for their current gen consoles. Because as it is, this gen has so far been about as exciting as....well.....a yearly iteration of Call Of Duty😐

On PS5 I've been playing Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed, which I'm enjoying alot. I'm also playing Klonoa: Phantasy Reverie for Switch.
