I’m a bit disappointed about the Witcher being delayed tbh but would obviously rather have the best version released and tbh I’ve tonnes to get on with.
I wish they’d stop discounting games….I’ve such a backlog! I bought sackboy for £33 last and thoroughly enjoying that. Now I’m going to have to consider Village too although I might be too scared! Lol
I’d love to play this but all my mates have X boxes and it’s not really their kind of game anyhow. Does it have online multiplayer like sackboy? Would happily purchase if so
@KidBoruto Great stuff. Glad you beat him. In the end and no shame in lowering the level. Read any review and it mentions how tough some of the bosses are in this game. I haven’t finished it yet as I got distracted by a discounted Sackboy on the PS5 but I certainly will. Great game.
@nomither6
Sorry but we’ll have to agree to disagree.
They’ve awarded 7 to games that lots of other sites have given 8 or even 9 many times.
Their poor reviews and they don’t know their gaming.
I have little interest in this game but knew they would give it a seven even prior to getting to the end of the review.
I find the site interesting but would never rely on a PushSquare review
@KidBoruto Don’t give up mate. I’m a very average gamer and It took me 15-20 times to beat him but you’ll get there. My tips would be to get as much rot power as possible (I had 3 available) and make sure your shield is upgraded once too. If you haven’t upgraded your health 3 times and by the time you do this fight you’ll struggle. Go back and search the world for everything! His attacks won’t hurt you with the upgraded shield. When he’s does attacking you get a couple of hits on him and repeat. Essential to hit the lantern around his neck at every opportunity too. Also I saved all 3 of my rot actions for the second half of the fight and it destroyed him. It’s really worth pursuing mate. I’m still nowhere near finishing the game yet (I’ve no idea how people complete this in 10 hours!) but the world opens up further with some really cool stuff and fun battles. You can do it!
Really good game whose graphics will fool lots of people into thinking it’s an easy adventure game for kids…..just wait until you fight the bosses for the first time! 8.5/10 from me.
Review doesn’t even mention the difficulty level of this game. Mostly in relation to the bosses. Even if you play on the second easiest level the bosses are no joke. Just a heads up in case you see cute graphics and think about buying it for a small child.
Gonna hold off with thus one I think. Reviews are mostly decent (Where on earth is Push Squares review?) but it’s really short for an adventure game. I’ll buy it in a sale in 6 months as plenty to get on with.
@Unlucky13 I hear you and likewise. 10 hours (what I’ve read) is very short for an adventure game with no reply value so even thought £33 seems good value it doesn’t seem like it if 10 hours is indeed correct.
Tried it last week. It’s ok. Not really getting the hype tbh but that’s most likely on me as I didn’t really see the benefit of using the portals. Due to that it just became a normal shooter.
@lolwhatno We’ll you weren’t alone….I usually made sure I got back just prior to darkness but I did indeed go out at night on occasion only to be chased and I don’t think my ticker could take it! Lol
@The_New_Butler
You’ll love the first game…
Being chased at night by the night stalkers (or whatever they were called) trying to reach a safe house was terrifying! lol
@Jaz007
We’ll done. Picking on one segment of one game out of the seven I mentioned off the top of my head….
When Ocarina of Time was released in 1998 no one was moaning about the water Temple. It was an absolute masterpiece and given full marks almost universally by reviewers.
No one had seen or experienced anything like it before.
In the revisions since it’s when people have picked up on the water Temple level design not being as perfect as the rest of the game.
@TeapotBuddha I’m referring to when they were released not 25 years later! Lol Goldeneye has not aged well at all but most (but not all) games don’t tbh. Absolutely we will have to agree to disagree. No problem with that.
@TeapotBuddha You have your opinion and I’ll have mine. There’s been plenty of perfect games over the years on different systems Half life 2 Super Mario world Zelda ocarina of time Goldeneye Super Mario 64 Halo combat evolved Super Mario galaxy. I could go on but I won’t….. Most people would agree they are perfect games and couldn’t be any better….I’m sure you won’t though!
@HotGoomba We’ll that’s not true is it. There have been many 10/10 games over the years on all systems which in their own right are considered masterpieces (ie perfect)
Ridiculous to say voice acting is a negative. I wholeheartedly agree with some of the others on the comments section here and it’s really some of the best you’ll hear in a game. The comment about combat being hard to read is also not true also. You learn your skills snd it’s very clear what works and what doesn’t. In fact to give this game so many negatives is ridiculous and maybe the reviewer should take up a new hobby!
@lolwhatno Cheers for the advice. I’ll take a look onto it Think my I phone is blocking it like you said but has been absolutely fine until a couple of days back.
Anyone tell me why I can’t access the videos from this site anymore? I’m logged in but it’s just telling me to subscribe to push square on you tube which I am
@Total_Weirdo I thought the same mate as I’d never played a souls game before but once you learn enemy attacks and where they are coming from etc I completed it. If you ever see a cheap copy down the line I encourage you to give it a go. Outstanding game
Amazing game. Since ploughing 70 odd hours in go it and near enough completing it I’ve bought Hades for my switch and a few days back bought Spelunkey for the PS5. I thought Returnal and Hades were hard until I played Spelunkey! Fantastic game though I keep dying! Lol
Would hardly describe the HZW gameplay as jaw dropping. It was mediocre at best and didn’t excite me in the slightest. Kena on the other hand looks very good as does Deathloop.
What a ridiculous headline. Has the writer just left preschool? I thought this was supposed to be a serious games website? Did E3 suck…. Give me strength
@pip_muzz
Exactly mate. We seem to be the only ones on here looking at the bigger picture.
Most others including the writer of the article) seems to be a Sony fanboy.
A very strange article seemingly written only due to the fact that Sony don’t participate in E3 anymore. I for one look forward to it every year. Is it perfect? No. But I’d be disappointed to see it not go ahead anymore. If you read x box and Nintendo sites (I own all three consoles) they were all extremely happy with what those respective companies showed. A very strange article indeed…….
@wiiware Always been x box prior to this new generation but demon souls, Returnal and ratchet and clank are the early reasons I decided to get a PS5 too this time. Already my decision has been vindicated as they are three absolutely outstanding games I’d have missed out on with I’m sure loads of exclusive titles to come in the PS5’s lifespan. Enjoy mate
Not much. The weather is too nice in the south of England to be sitting indoors playing video games. However I’ve purchased ratchet and clank rift apart and knockout city this week so looking forward to playing both.
@Hopewell 💯 agree with you. I just don’t get all the people on here saying they’d never play 30fps again. It’s ridiculous as I genuinely can’t tell the difference. I’m fidelity all the way as I just want the game to look as amazing as possible.
@get2sammyb
I’m curious as to why you’ve marked it down for being a little easy?
It’s been advertised that it has four difficulty modes (which is more than ever before)
What difficulty did you play it on?
@Unlucky13
I’m in my mid 40’s and although single atm have dated numerous women over the years and not one has been a gamer.
I think you’re right. It’s more acceptable for the generation after us.
