The title makes it sound like it's PS5 that's not getting anymore ports. 😭
Anyway as soon as they announced they were rebranding PSN, PC and Xbox fans started spreading these fake rumours. Most of it was just wishful thinking on their part but too many idiots believe everything they see online as well.
@Noone2025 Sony didn't say it sold best on PS5. Circana did so the numbers came from Capcom also the PS5 version even outsold the Switch version in Japan.
Dynamic pricing and targeted pricing are two completely different things and it turns out PS Prices research is also unreliable because they've already had to update their article.
"We clarified the section on IPT_LTM. Previously we interpreted the $29.99 price for GTA V as a “test increase”. In fact the retail price of GTA V (PS5) is $39.99, and both experimental prices ($26.99 and $29.99) are discounts of different depths, not increases. The IPT_LTM table has been updated to include retail prices for context
PC gamers are just port begging parasites. Valve rarely makes games for them so they beg and dream about getting the games from all the other platforms.
£3.74 sounds about right for what I paid for it a while ago off the playstation store. Hadn't played an assassin's creed game in years I wonder if that's why I was offered that price, anyway I have no problem with regional pricing but dynamic pricing does sound scummy but I'd like to know exactly how it works? If they just offer people discounts on the types of games they wouldn't usually buy or play that wouldn't really bother me, I don't buy games until I think the price is right for that game and the price I'm willing to pay is dependent on how much I want a play a game, ofc unless it's just too cheap to care.
Too many people to respond to but I will say this, if you don't actually own a PS5 and you aren't planning on getting a PS6 then you're opinion on this is irrelevant and I have no interest in hearing it.
@Shinnok789 They sold the Death Stranding IP back to Kojima. Big singleplayer first party IP's like Intergalactic or a new god of war should stay exclusive.
I thought it looked like it could be fun to play, the combat looked pretty good and the graphics are quite nice. I want to hear more about this campaign they mentioned as well.
I think this is a smart move, TCL was going to take over the TV market eventually anyway, well them or Hisense. The same way BYD got the EV market or Huawei was going to become #1 in smartphones until the ban.
If they pair Sony's best in class image processing with some of TCL's best panels then this could lead to some really good TVs still and hopefully more affordable since they should be a bit cheaper to produce this way.
@nessisonett Well since it's just a fictional character from a video game it shouldn't really matter should it? I just think it's weird that you think it is sus. He looks the part and he's a good actor and you're sounding a bit self-righteous to me. Did you whinge about Leonidas in 300 as well?
Xbox dropping to so low they didn't even bother to give them a percentage and how did they manage to go from 3rd to probably 5th in their main market? The Rog Xbox handheld flopped as well.
Honestly this doesn't interest me in the same way Wukong did when I watched the trailer, actually I'd definitely pick Phantom Blade Zero over this anyday as well.
I thought it was called a Nex Pigs until you said Playground but anyway it just looks like one of those Christmas fad toys that sells well over Xmas but then is quickly forgotten about. Was it big on tiktok or something? The game selection for the subscription looks terrible as well.
Looks like a it could be a decent present if your kids are fat though.
@Rich33 @Member_the_game @RoomWithaMoose It's fine guys, I accept your apology, anyway see you in the November sales article when the PS5 mops the floor with the Switch 2 again.
@RoomWithaMoose I don't think it was that pointless since we learned you have anger issues and are easily triggered when Playstation outperforms Nintendo, in fact if you think about it for a second without raging then I actually did you a favour so maybe a thanks is in order? Actually, on second thought you should save the thanks until you've worked through those issues then it will have more meaning behind it since apparently everything is just pointless to you at the moment.
@Rich33 Yeah you're definitely missing something but I'm not entirely sure how you missed it if you actually read my comments.
People seem to be hyper focusing on comparing them launch aligned so they can just keep parroting that it's not a good comparison. Except I was never comparing them launch aligned, I was just comparing the last 2 months in a row which is a fair comparison and the PS5 outsold Switch 2 both times and with these black Friday deals it looks like they'll sell better this month as well but I said all this before so I'm not sure how you didn't get it.
@RoomWithaMoose You're starting to sound a bit paranoid there bud are you sure you're okay? Well anyway since the PS5 is actually pulling away from the switch 2 as in the gap is widening so any dreams you and member had about the Switch 2 outselling it during the year were just that and since the article actually had some interesting relevant sales data, I think we should just leave it there since it's probably not good for your blood pressure and I've got stuff to do today so bye and try and relax a bit if you can.
@RoomWithaMoose Why so defensive? I'm not the one getting worked up by the looks of it and I understand that wasn't his intention but I pointed out there's still some interesting sales data there and a better comparison to be made.
You don't have to agree but a 5 year old console outselling it's new rival so soon after it released is pretty interesting. Oh and it's the last 2 months in a row not just one and if they win this month it'll start to look like it could be the trend.
Anyway if you and him are not interested in any of this and it's all so irrelevant why even bother clicking on the article? Just to tell people it's silly and they should ignore it? Why's that exactly? What is it about that sales data that annoys you so much?
@RoomWithaMoose It isn't a good comparison, it's better to compare what's happening with the latest sales that are being tracked and it's pretty obvious PS5 is winning.
@Member_the_game It also says in the article - "In fact, in October specifically, Sony’s console registered a 36% increase in sales which saw it assert its position as the best-selling system of the month."
PS5 has actually outsold it in the UK for the last 2 months in a row now and this was before the Black Friday deals even started. It's going to be interesting to see the November sales.
That's decent for 2 days of tracking for the Japanese PS5 but to really compete in Japan you need a handheld. Still I wouldn't be surprised if the PS5 actually outsells the Switch 2 worldwide over Xmas or at least gets close despite being out a lot longer than it.
It's not DOA because it will shift a couple of million units just like the SteamDeck but with those numbers it'll be just as insignificant as the SteamDeck.
SteamDeck got a massive amount of fake praise online and still does but it didn't make a difference it still flopped despite what the SteamDeck users and the Steam fanatics say.
It was acceptable because they were battling Xbox for the US and Europe but now that they've destroyed Xbox, they can get back to competing with Nintendo.
Yōtei is better in every way. The people thinking it's not are just blinded by nostalgia and the fact it's harder to have an impact on them the second time round.
I love these type of games, I still think they have a lot of charm to them.
This and Terminator 2D are some of the games I'm looking forward to most for the rest of 2025. I'll wait for some reviews though just to make sure they aren't broken messes but I'm not actually that interested in the scores they get. As long as there's nothing game breaking wrong with them I'll probably pick them up day one.
Pachter is full of it. He also said Nintendo is a dumb company a couple of years ago but if you look at his client list it makes sense why he goes after Sony and Nintendo and praises Xbox.
Microsoft is actually one of his biggest clients but Sony and Nintendo don't do business with him.
I thought his voice was great and from what we've seen in the trailer it looked like he has nailed the performance. I'll obviously have to wait until I play it to see exactly how good he is in the role but that trailer has left me confident he'll be able to pull it off.
$650 for a Series X is a total ripoff. The 2TB being more expensive than a PS5 Pro is madness as well.
Xbox should just discontinue the console and go full Sega at this point because nobody was really buying the console to begin with and even less people are going to buy it now.
@RagnarLothbrok We get it you can't separate the art from the artist and that's fine. The people who want to play it will play it but your last comment is just nonsense and nothing more than a weird gut feeling.
I'd rather lose 175gb then get a price hike because that money can be used towards an SSD that'll give you a lot more space anyway but it does feel wrong to see them going backwards but it's what it's I guess since this is the better option in my opinion.
@atthegates 3rd party has to pay 30% like they do on a lot of other storefronts so Sony usually charges the same as them. Constantly undercutting them would make them look bad to 3rd party publishers.
This is obviously convenient for Sony because they have an excuse to charge more and Green Man Gaming takes a lower cut since they don't have the same overhead.
Come to think of it I doubt Steam has the same overhead as playstation so they should actually be charging less like Green Man.
@atthegates Well since you said quid I thought you were talking about pounds and no the majority still buy straight from Steam like I said and don't go to 3rd party sellers. Konami also sets the price not Sony.
@atthegates You're obviously comparing the deluxe edition price to the standard edition on PC also they are exactly the same price on Steam which is were the majority will buy it. Most people don't bother looking for steam keys elsewhere and the game is the £70 on both.
