That's decent for 2 days of tracking for the Japanese PS5 but to really compete in Japan you need a handheld. Still I wouldn't be surprised if the PS5 actually outsells the Switch 2 worldwide over Xmas or at least gets close despite being out a lot longer than it.

@rusty82 3:1 in the US and UK maybe but everywhere else it's more like 10:1 these days.

It's not DOA because it will shift a couple of million units just like the SteamDeck but with those numbers it'll be just as insignificant as the SteamDeck.

SteamDeck got a massive amount of fake praise online and still does but it didn't make a difference it still flopped despite what the SteamDeck users and the Steam fanatics say.

Isn't this basically just what Rockstar has been doing for years with GTA5 but apparently it's a big deal now that Gran Turismo did it.

It was acceptable because they were battling Xbox for the US and Europe but now that they've destroyed Xbox, they can get back to competing with Nintendo.

Yōtei is better in every way. The people thinking it's not are just blinded by nostalgia and the fact it's harder to have an impact on them the second time round.

I love these type of games, I still think they have a lot of charm to them.

This and Terminator 2D are some of the games I'm looking forward to most for the rest of 2025. I'll wait for some reviews though just to make sure they aren't broken messes but I'm not actually that interested in the scores they get. As long as there's nothing game breaking wrong with them I'll probably pick them up day one.

Pachter is full of it. He also said Nintendo is a dumb company a couple of years ago but if you look at his client list it makes sense why he goes after Sony and Nintendo and praises Xbox.

Microsoft is actually one of his biggest clients but Sony and Nintendo don't do business with him.

I actually think this is pretty cool, I hope it's a redemption story for them and we see a big improvement.

I thought his voice was great and from what we've seen in the trailer it looked like he has nailed the performance. I'll obviously have to wait until I play it to see exactly how good he is in the role but that trailer has left me confident he'll be able to pull it off.

$650 for a Series X is a total ripoff. The 2TB being more expensive than a PS5 Pro is madness as well.

Xbox should just discontinue the console and go full Sega at this point because nobody was really buying the console to begin with and even less people are going to buy it now.

I'd rather lose 175gb then get a price hike because that money can be used towards an SSD that'll give you a lot more space anyway but it does feel wrong to see them going backwards but it's what it's I guess since this is the better option in my opinion.

@atthegates 3rd party has to pay 30% like they do on a lot of other storefronts so Sony usually charges the same as them. Constantly undercutting them would make them look bad to 3rd party publishers.

This is obviously convenient for Sony because they have an excuse to charge more and Green Man Gaming takes a lower cut since they don't have the same overhead.

Come to think of it I doubt Steam has the same overhead as playstation so they should actually be charging less like Green Man.

@atthegates Well since you said quid I thought you were talking about pounds and no the majority still buy straight from Steam like I said and don't go to 3rd party sellers. Konami also sets the price not Sony.

@atthegates You're obviously comparing the deluxe edition price to the standard edition on PC also they are exactly the same price on Steam which is were the majority will buy it. Most people don't bother looking for steam keys elsewhere and the game is the £70 on both.
