@homelesscretin I don't disagree about intention. I don't think there was anything malicious implied in this. However, it was misleading and attacks at their communication credibility.

This is the same group that gave us the Joel/Jesse TLOU2 trailer swap so they don't have the best relationship with credibility.

In a time where studios are closing and thousands of workers are being laid off due to costs/budgeting issues, seeing this waste of money and resources is embarrassing and unforgivable. Do any of these CEOs suffer from their poor decisions? Nope! They get raises, bonuses or at the worst, nice send off packages where they can go destroy another company (and thousands of workers lives) with newer, fresher more innovate poor decisions.

If your business plan involves threatening your user base to purchase overpriced recycled content, you don't have a good business plan.

It's all about profits. Nintendo proved that they can use lower end hardware and still charge a good amount for their system. They don't want to change that formula

This needed to happen. I'm hopeful that more executive heads will start to roll because of this and less frontline workers. The working class should not be punished for poor leadership.

Oh so AI is already being used more in game production AND there's been a huge wave of layoffs in the gaming industry.....yeah...no correlation right? Let me guess....games will go up 15$ more dollars due to production costs too....

I remember when he was talking about how epic the new Factions game was going to be. And then, after dodging the topic for over a year, it was cancelled. At this point, I think it's important for them to just actually make a new game instead of trying to be revolutionary......

I think these companies are more and more setting themselves up for AI. They're getting rid of staff now to automate jobs.

We're 3 years into this console's life cycle and all they've put out are remasters and a remake. Truly poor use of their time, the management there is off track. Knowing how long their development times are so NPCs can have realistic standing animations, we probably won't see anything from them until the end of the console's cycle. Really poor showing ND

They never should have made factions 2 such a large game. All the fans would have been happy with an updated game with new maps as an extra mode in TLOU2. Very poor planning and execution. Now the fans are left with nothing after baiting us for years. Truly embarrassing business practice.

And these were the goofs who blocked the release of Factions 2? Maybe that decision needs to be re-evaluated

Can they give us a barebones Factions 2 included please? At least fix all the glitches in the original and repack it in?

So the company responsible for putting Factions 2 on ice because the game doesn't live up to their standards is suffering major losses because their game didn't live up to their standards. Nice! There's some real expertise here!

@Ainu20 when I say cross gen, I'm referring to PS5/PS6. Looking at their 5-6 year production cycle, their next game will come so late in the life cycle, it'll be time for the next console.

Naughty Dog needs to put their feet back on the ground. Not everything needs to be this vast, epic, story based experience. They have no idea what makes Factions actually fun. Sometimes simple is better ND, hope you learned your lesson. I'm guessing their first new title will be cross gen. What a waste!

I think a film adaption of the original Phantasy Star would make a great movie. A revenge plot based is a sci-fi/fantasy world would be amazing!

How shocking! A rich man in power involved in a sex abuse scandal? I've never heard of such a thing before! Honestly, it's the rich people in power that are ruining our world in every selfish, self-serving way possible.

I feel like they've said this before and not much has come out of it. I remember even filling out a Sega survey a few years ago on IPs I wanted to see again. They really need to start making progress with old IPs. If Streets of Rage 4 is any indication, they need to get on it now.

Ok, this just happened to me yesterday actually. All my controllers stopped working, but the PS button turned the console on. It wouldn't pick up after that.

Yes, I did this. I thought my disc drive was busted out the gate. Then I decided to "experiment" and flip the disc and it worked. Then I emailed a pic of the console to my friends and asked, "what way would you insert the disc?" and they all went with my original method. So either we're all stupid or the design is misleading. Usually, the data side faces towards the base/body of the console.

Ok so I'm not the only one who horse dives. Phew!

Completed RE3, only played a few rounds of Resistance. I would have preferred a Merc mode

If it isnt delayed and the pandemic is still in full force, it actually wouldn't look good for Naughty Dog so they should delay it to save face regardless.
