Important news. The jump from 11 to 18 million is impressive, I think they will sell PS5 with a little less profit, maybe paying more for the chip suplier, but whatever the reason, the most important thing for Sony strategy, as I said in another post, is to put those machines out.

Maybe they reach an agreement with the chip manufacturer? Will pay above the market price so they can improve manufacturing? I dont know, but for Sony´s strategy, they really need to put those machines out.

I don't even understand anything about game programming, but as a commentary about the game, two years to make this seems like a lot. It's essentially just a bunch of mayonese jars dressed up in cosplay. haha

I know it´s probably only online multiplayer, but who knows. I´m always looking forward to some game with couch coop to play with friends, drinking beer, laughing and having a good time.

@Gaia093 Yeah, same. Imagine visiting real world locations at different time periods. Really cool if possible! Or another planet!

@OrtadragoonX I agree with you about the new trilogy, The only difference its that its a lot more "open world" than Uncharted, with a little metroidvania included. What I really liked about Tomb Raider was that feeling of the PS1 era, that sense of discovery, just you and gigantic temples, tombs and caves. I just dont agree when you said that the new TB is super dark, I always tought of the games to be super dark in my opinion, more serious than Uncharted.

But if somehow someone manage to bring back those PS1 era TR feelings, sense of discovery, puzzle solving type of games, for me it will always be better than the blockbuster nature of Uncharted. But its just my opinion and personal taste.

But Uncharted is also fantastic, dont get me wrong, I was blown away with Uncharted 2, beeing 4 my favorite (really a fan of pirates). For me this a franchise that should have 8, 9 games, its fantastic, but unfortunaly I think Naughy Dog isnt interested.

@Fenbops Yeah, I dont like it either, but I think Microsoft forced Sony to make some defensive moves with this recently megaton purchases for Xbox, even the stocks fell in that period.

I agree they are a californian tech firm now, we can only hope that they realize they need Japan again and let them do their thing. Especially without censorship.

@OrtadragoonX I think its Uncharted that it is Tomb Raider with a dude.. haha.. I actually prefer Tomb Raider over Uncharted, despite been a massive fan of Nathan Drake. Plus, Lara Croft was one of the images of Playstation for a long time. But seriously, I just dont think Naughty Dog is interested in making more of this games.

@Abeedo Yeah, this SquareEnix Acquisition will only makes sense if Sony allow the eastern devs freedom, the westernization of the brand, for me personally, its a low point on Sony.

On the other hand, if Sony dont buy Square, I can´t see much future for the company, given the last results.

Makes sense. I still think passing on Tomb Raider was strange (legacy, movies, brand recognition) but I think it was to avoid FTC.

If true, really nice to see Cloud finally a officially Sony character, goes straight to the banner.

Its a nice defensive move, WB games and Capcom should be next.

Realistically, I think Resident Evil VIII, Half Life and GT7 (just like the article).

I also hope, personally, for some game in space or below water, I dont care if its a "game game", or a walking simulator. Just give me my immersion.

I also dream for Silent Hills VR. OR a remake of the first one, first person and VR compatible.

Deliver us the Moon gameplay was meh for me, hope they improve on this aspect. But the graphics, the view walking on top of the moon was really cool. Looking forward to the sequel.

Great, loved all 3 games, only complain is the AI in the third game. In the majority of the missions, all I did was stay in cover behind a door and stealth kill all the bad guys aproaching, one by one, like a bunch of idiots. haha

I cant´t wait. Already finished CS 1 and 2, currently waiting Trails from Zero before Cold Steel 3, some folks already told me that a lot of characters from 3 are from the Crossbell saga.

Buy SquareEnix.. keep Final Fantasy XIV.. launch Final Fantasy XVII online.. Boom, live service games!

I too hate this path Sony is going.. its not because of the 20 million spent here.. its this, plus Bungie for 3 billion (for live service games), plus letting Eidos and CD pass for 300 million, plus the westernization of the company, plus the censorship..

But I still love you Playstation!

@AdamNovice I can see that.. of course it makes sense.. but still, a franchise with core players in your system, a system know for awesome SP experiences, with legacy, with a brand almost as recognazible as Mario or Sonic (my father knows Lara Croft), that has sell 88 million games in it´s entire existence, and before launching a PS plus with some features similar to Netflix or Gamepass (acess to a library of games).. for 300 million, I think it was a steal for Embracer..
I know I´m using only my preferences for my "little rant".. haha.. but I love Tomb Raider, forgive me..

On the other hand, I know nothing of the situation of the companies, plus more than 300 employees, it was strugling in the past few years.. maybe it was a good decision, maybe not.. I just hope in the future Microsoft doesnt buy from Embracer, or buy Embracer.. because in the end, as long as this games continues to play in our system, doenst matter..

I´m in no way a corporate big suit person, to have the ability to make this big decisions, so it´s only my opinion in here, based on my personal preferences, but Eidos and CD, for less than 1/10 of the value of Bungie, would have had a bigger impact on gamers. I still remember the backlash Square received after the 100 million dollars for 1 year exclusivity for Rise of The Tomb Raider on Xbox, it was crazy.

@Voltan Yeah, I get that, but let Tomb Raider slip for that amount of money seens like a missed oportunity for marketing (look, Tomb Raider is exclusive now, back to Playstation!) to increase the value of the new PS Plus e for the movie side of things.

If this confirmed to be true, Sony should have telling them to keep the Tomb Raider IP, its an incredible brand and a legacy one for Playstation, would be an excelent adittion to the Sony movies and the new PS Plus. Imagine that banner with all the studios that Sony always do, but with Lara in one of them. Really strange if Sony buys Square.

They need to release a new game with the name Portal 2022, King of Fighters style, then the next one could be Portal 4, that way they will avoid using the number 3 on the title. Same with Half-Life and Left for Dead.

Hey, overcooked is fantastic, the best game for me on this list, because for me, only a few games on this list I truly considered co-op.

I love Overcooked, me and my wife had a lot of "fights" because of this game while trying to 3 stars every stage, great fun! haha

@__jamiie Yes, that makes sense. But they could at least make the old move controllers compatible with PSVR2, just like PS4 games can be played in the PS5 with a PS4 controller. Thank you for the reply!

@__jamiie Wait, so i won't be able to play old games in this new PSVR? This sounds stupid, but I really wanted to play Drunken Bar Fight with my friends.. haha. and of course Superhot, Blood and Truth, etc. I was saving money for this, so i would only need to buy one VR.

This new soundtrack has a very difficult task, because in my opinion the OST is one of the reasons why this game its so well remembered. I personally love it.

Best Falcom game ever, combat, soundtrack, characters, this game is amazing! Happy for the PS5 port, but only because it´s becoming really expensive to buy this game. Ys was never about the graphics (but Falcom could improve their engine).

@Voltan I think you can claim it on the ps app, and them download it when you have the console. I did this with the monthly ps plus games until last week, when i finally bought my ps5. But maybe Im wrong, because this is the ps plus collection, not the same.

Its a really fun game, played a lot with my wife in local multiplayer.

I understand the economics of this decision, but what about third party first day release?

Good, I love that are still people willing to do things differently in games, and also that there are companies like Sony willing to fund this kind of projects. I mean, Death Stranding is a pretty bizarre game (in the good sense, for my liking), and not a cheap one to make. Well deserve Kojima, congrats.

@Arisen Hyrule Warriors is really good (if you like this type of game), and dont you dare talk about Dead or Alive Xtreme.
But seriously, in my opinion they're good to great developers, with a few flops along the way (just like others companies), so i still trust them, the last games they made were great.

Not the best indie game for me, far away from my list of best of, I actually liked Flower, from the same developer, a lot more.

I´m sold, sometimes its good to play a bonkers game. We have to thank the japanese, the western games are sometimes too serious.

I recently bought a Turtle in Time copy for my Snes - Yes, I´m old school, so for me this collection is a dream come true.

I´m still waiting for the Capcom Belt Action Collection 2, with games like Final fight 2, 3, Aliens vs Predator, and the Dungeons and Dragons games.

Man, Im not a Souls like games fan, I played only Bloodborne, an only a little, so sorry in advance. But I dont understand the meaning for this in this type of game, this is stupidy.

@Sam_ATLUS Yeah, very strange. Kara´s foot is on the same imaginary line as Sackgirl, so they could easily fit in the image. But on the other hand, the girl from Tearaway is still present, so I think its just a poor decision.
