The best protagonist for me would be Squall, and not because FF VIII is my favorite FF, he has the best weapon, Gunblade, and his catchphrase is.. Whatever..

Really excited about Sniper Elite 5, I recently discovered this series through the PS Plus service, the game set in Italy is awesome, so I'm happy for the campaign in France. As for the rest of the games, apart from Snowrunner which is amazing and I already have it, I'm not very interested.
Edit: I forgot to mention, It Takes Two is excellent, I finished the game with my wife, we had fun from start to finish, I totally recommend it.

It´s a shame, would love another point and click from these guys, Deponia, Pillars of the Earth and Silence are all incredible.

This game has a beautiful atmosphere and visuals, and an amazing soundtrack. Other than that, it's a cluster of famous actors with a pretty convoluted, nonsensical story. Despite liking Kojima, and it's important for someone like him to make these kinds of games, taking risks like that, I still think that the game's story doesn't have anything special, and that not everything he does is a work of art. And I think the movie will show that.

One of my favorite game of all time is receiving a sequel, The Talos Principle, so for me this game alone would make this a great presentation. With Spider Man 2, AC Mirage and GranBlue, it has become an amazing presentation.

Well, the Majora´s Mask mod with Nicolas Cage face is truly one of the most disturbing things ever to apear on a videogame, I think it's going to be hard to be scarier than that.

I really liked Valhalla, it was the game I played the most last year, but it so time comsuming. I'm really looking forward to Mirage and the promise of being a smaller game. Because I don't know if I can put in as many hours as in the Odyssey or Valhalla games.
Actually I think RED and HEXE will be similar to the new Assassins Creed, RPG and open world with a million collectibles. But I hope Mirage is a success, and between these bigger Assassins Creeds, they always release a smaller game in the series for those who want a shorter experience.

My first FF was VIII, and I really love this title, from the characters to the music and story. I know it has its flaws, and I can see it now, but the first time I heard Balamb Garden, went to the moon and back, and saw the endgame animation (I won't spoil it), my younger self couldn't find no fault with this magical game.
That said, IX is by far the best FF I've ever played, an absolute classic and a masterpice.

@StrickenBiged I think the slogan "From Gamer to Racer" is from the original GT Academy, so it´s not something they came up with for this movie, I think they're just referencing something from the history of the event. But yeah, it´s not good.

@FenIsMightier I don't know if this interferes much with consumers' habits for gamers. Sony just broke every record in Playstation history for March in console sales this past month.

Loved the art style! I can´t wait! But still not sold on the character clothes, this game taking place after Ys II, where Adol still had his armor, it´s weird seeing him with that 90's teenager outfit. haha

The thing is, Stardew Valley besides beying awesome, looks more "adult" than the other farm simulators out there (that I know), with some really complex themes for some characters.
But this one looks good, maybe I´ll give it a try.

Okay, competition is good for the industry, I agree. But Xbox has been around for over 20 years and has more studios than Sony now. And yet they are losing, releasing fewer games and not delivering the same quality. Okay, let them buy Activision, to stay competitive. What if they keep losing? Let them buy EA. Now Ubisoft. What is the limit for incompetence?

Can't wait to play, the game looks beautiful, even if it´s FF only thematically. My first FF was VIII, and despite how divisive it was/is, I absolutely adore this game, from the story to the music to the combat. I don't think FF will return to turn based gameplay anytime soon, I think Octopath Traveler is the new FF for old school gamers.

@Kidfunkadelic83 Yeah, some decisions by Sony are hard to understand. This being in the premium tier is a joke. People will need to spend money to find out if they like a game, just to spend more money buying that game afterward.

@LifeGirl Yeah, Final Fantasy XIII is ok, the graphics at the time were incredible, and the sequel is even better, for me is more "Final Fantasy" than XV, for example.

Looks good, hope they make it compatible with the PSVR2 down the line.

@Godot25 Yeah, agreed. I think that's also why Sony hasn't bought Square yet, this whole drama.

@Godot25 You´re right, I forgot to change stop acquisitions for pause acquisitions. I don´t think it will stop, but last year was crazy, that was the only talk in the gaming industry. At least it stoped, even if its for a few months only.

I'm tired of all this stuff, but at least it put a pause to those Microsoft presentations, who are they going to buy tomorrow, today? The entire industry has become a competition of who will buy the most developers.
Who knows now, with all this drama of approval or rejection of the purchase, before making any decision they won't think a little bit beforehand.

Crazy to know that an opinion about women wanting to go to the bathroom only with people with the same genital organ as them is considered controversial, and the person in question, a modern-day Hitler for some people.

But extremely relieved to see that the HUGE majority of people don't think that way on this site, and seeing the game's sales around the world, the vast majority of people outside of this site don't think that way either.

All people, regardless of sexual orientation, deserve respect, what each one does with their life is nobody's problem. But when it starts to affect other people's lives, like a little girl, in a bathroom, with a grown man, it should at least be DISCUSSED. I have a daughter, and for me, not even being able to discuss this type of subject shows me how the world is increasingly authoritarian, it's scary.

About the game, as a huge Harry Potter fan, so happy it is great.

I already have and played Mafia, great game!
But I don´t have interest in the other games, maybe I`ll try Destiny 2 and grab 50 PS Stars points along with it.

@sanderson72 Yes, they were more fun in the previous generation. It's in this generation that they're kind of boring, we can't even change the background of the home screen (that I know). But I'm sure it's a design decision and in the future they`ll be slowly introducing more options.
And this is coming from someone who owns a white controller, a Midnight Black and a Starlight Blue, and close to buying a Gray Camouflage.
I think I'm actually part of the problem.. haha

I know that pink is not red, but the color variations of the controls always seem to stay in the red, blue or gray spectrum. And now fans discovered 2 new colors, Metallic Gray and Metallic Red. It must be a conceptual choice by Sony, but they could use a green or yellow color.

What will be next? Fashion Bordeaux? Arctic Cyan? Where´s my Forest Green?

Maybe you should be less emotional (it´s just a hobby), calmly read the whole conversation and learn context.
But if you consider Horizon, Resident Evil, Gran Turismo indie, that's up to you.

THIS franchise is part of Sony´s history, has potencial for games, tv, cinema, why they didnt bought it from Square at that price is beyond me.

@NEStalgia hahaha.. in short, Sony marketing sucks, the reporter, while with (I hope) good intentions, did some harm, PSVR2, if we lower our expectations, will sell fine.

@themightyant I don't know this reporter, and I'm sure he must be a serious person. But the timing of the news, along with Sony's horrible-to-non-existent campaign, did a great harm to the release. Perhaps Sony will wake up and start devoting more time to the new product.
Maybe we have to get used to this new Sony, because not even the new subscription service was well explained or publicized by them.

@TrickyDicky99 I'm just guessing, but when the first PSVR came out, there were around 70 million PS4s on the market. If PSVR2 manages to sell 1 million this year and another 1.5 million by March 2024, with 30 million (40 next year, or more) PS5 on the market, I would consider it a huge success. Again, we don't know what would be a big hit for them, but if you take those numbers into account, maybe 1 million is, and for a niche device like this we should lower our sales expectations.
Anyway, the news has already been denied by Sony, we will only know the success or otherwise of the product after launch.
I'm also concerned about future game releases and I don't think we'll always have games like Horizon, but Capcom are always supporting, maybe we get Half Life Alyx, I don´t know, but I´m excited. And this will be my first VR.

I don't know who this guy (reporter) is, but mission accomplished. Everyone is now claiming it's a dead product and hasn't even been released yet. Is the marketing horrible? Yes. Is the product great, does it have potential, are many people excited (including me)? Yes again.
It's a niche product, a steering racing wheel is a much more niche product than that, and Logitech keeps making it.
Perhaps 5 million units is considered low sales for many people, perhaps for Sony 5 million is clearly a huge success. If they manage to sell 1 million units, with a lot less PS5 on the market than PS4 at the same time, it will be considered great.

@koffing The only I way I see Sony making it compatible with PC is seeling the device at 999 dolars, since it´s high end technology, I think in PS5 they are selling or with a loss or without profit, because the 30% cut on the PS Store is the real money maker for Sony in this case.
But it's just speculation on my part.

@koffing With all due respect to what these people think, but that doesn't make any sense for me. They are different experiences. I can say the same thing, with the price of an XSX I can buy a PSVR2, or a cell phone, or a home theater.

For me, the only negative point of this whole VR story is Sony's apparent lack of interest in promoting the product, not providing tech demos like the first PSVR, not making a presentation, answering questions, etc. We know its a niche product. But the impression it gives, and I know this must not be the case (I hope), is that it seems that Sony has already given up on the product like others say here, and we don't know if Sony will support the product fully in the future.

@Gooseman42 I agree, and I also think it's missing those free tech demos that everyone likes to show their friends, family. etc, like going down to the bottom of the sea, seeing dinosaurs, etc. I think casual people who don't play video games are not going to be able to play something like Horizon, and they could sell a lot by releasing this experiences to more people.

I recently played this with my new 5.1 home theater and I have to say people walked out of the room at certain parts of the game. This game for me will be a PSVR seller.. haha.. Can't wait! (I'm pretty sure I'd rather watch someone play this than me..)

A new game with Chloe or Sam in the same universe would be awesome. Or with Cassie, Sam could be the Sully for Cassie.

This is sad. Not because of The Last of Us, I don't care one bit about that series (but I feel for the fans). But Uncharted is one of my favorites, just remembering the theme song already makes me want to play all the games again, and the universe they created has the possibility for many more games, with other characters. I hope they give the franchises, including The Last of Us, to other developers, so we can enjoy a little longer.

The game looks fun to play, but the main character is insufferable from what has been shown so far. It would still be insufferable even if the main character were played by Margot Robbie or Amanda Seyfried. It´s not the color of the character, but her dialogue.

That said, I think this is an overreaction, maybe the dialogue gets better as the game goes on and the character gains experience, I dont know, I will give this game a chance when the price drops, because I've played games with worse characters, for example, Watch Dogs 2, a game that I ended up liking by the way.

About the graphics, I love Falcom games, so I can´t complain about Forspoken. haha

Great month! I just dont understand why DMC 5 PS4 and DMC 5: Special Edition PS5. As far as I know, PS Plus Extra (edit) is only for the PS5, why anyone would want to play the inferior PS4 version?
About the games leaving, I´ll try to play Leo`s Fortune, hope its not a long game.

Does anyone know if this PS5 version comes with the first season included?

I didnt like the dialog in the trailer, maybe I`m getting old, but the game world looks decent, and the combat looks fun, maybe I`ll try when the price drops.

@themightyant Yes. Almost every Falcom JRPG has this types of trophies. Also missable trophies are the worst; I just finished The Messenger, and because I loved the game, I collected all the Seals of Power, only to find out I missed out on the platinum chance because of some stupid trophy about listening to the shopkeeper's story.

Im looking for A Space for the Unbound, looks incredible and relaxing to play. Maybe One Piece Odyssey, but I`ll wait for the reviews.

The original god of war is Ares, and without Ares there would be no God of War. The original trilogy is a tale of ambition and revenge, and it would be extremely important for the show to tell that story. I mean, his skin is white because of his family's ashes. By the looks of it they'll either just mention it in a talk with another character or completely ignore it.

@ILikeStake I feel for you, I know the struggle, I also reached the end of the season. Rings of Power on the other hand.. I have yet to finish.. which is a shame, because house of the dragon was awesome.

I hope this time Lara is not a fragile woman, but the confident, dual pistol, badass woman of the first 6 games of the franchise.

And I've played and enjoyed both the Legend trilogy and the new trilogy, and while the games are beautiful and great to play, that one is not Lara Croft in my opinion (new trilogy).

Unpopular opinion here, Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the best of the new trilogy.
