Hence why it's always on sale in the PSN store. Other gamers have said though that the frame rate is drastically better with boost mode enabled. To be honest it wasn't exactly much better on PC.

@Ralizah Agreed and the fact that we get that with some of the consoles best looking PS4 titles shows that it is predominantly due to poor optimisation and lazy developers.

@get2sammyb I think that most of us were hoping for a solid 30fps in a lot of these older titles. It's not really at lot to expect is it.

Out of interest Sammy did you play it on the normal difficulty? As the Sniper series of games are far better when played on the Sniper Elite difficulty. Your video review is certainly better than your written version.

@FX102A Couldn't agree more. Trophies/Achievements are completely pointless and offer no benefits to anyone. I play a game for fun, challenge and mostly entertainment.

Why anyone would choose a Switch over a PS4 is baffling to me.

@FATPC I'm well aware of the options but you missed the point. Even when choosing to run at 60fps mode on the Pro the game spends a lot of time at a 720p resolution. Which is pathetic imo.

Once again none are my sort of thing but at least their sales have been very good lately so I've had plenty of bargains out of my discounts.

720p on the Pro though, is that really the best they could do given it doesn't even look that good.

Why do these games have to be so dark and use such dreary colour pallets. I was hoping for a lot better from this title but I guess I'm in the minority. The demo put me right off so I won't be purchasing it until it's really cheap in a sale.

@DiddyWahDiddy Agreed along with an FOV slider.

@Dm9982 Most likely due to both games using a narrow field of view to reach required frame rates.A technique commonly used on console FPS games as a wider FOV requires more processing power.

Fallout 4 is one of the few games that gave me bad headaches whilst playing due to the low FOV and poor frame rate.

Sadly I can't see GT Sport arriving this year and that's the only title I'm interested in from that list.

@BAMozzy Microsoft certainly made more of the 4k support via up-scaling than Sony did. Also I wasn't talking about the tiny boost to the CPU and I'm well aware of all the info about it thanks. In my experience games look noticeably better on Xbox and PS4 since they introduced their up-scalers not a big difference but enough to notice.

@KitsuneNight 8K is still a long way off and certainly nowhere near suitable for gaming anytime soon. Also why do you think that you would have to re-buy all your movies and series again for 4 or 8K? They are simply upscaled, all my Blu Ray movies upscale great to 4k on my Pro.

@KitsuneNight You wouldn't say that after trying some native 4k games out. There is a huge difference between a 1080p and true 4k image.

@fybyfyby The same case with the Pro upscaling all games to 4k Sony never even mentioned it whilst Microsoft made a big deal about theirs with the Xbox One.

@AFCC Hi sorry I didn't mean to worry you I should have said that is normal. It is usually caused by the needle moving quickly across the platter.

@AFCC Ticking is most likely your hard drive a common issue.

@get2sammyb Agreed I actually preferred the XBOX ONE launch UI but now it has become a convoluted mess and so slow to do anything. I'm afraid things just don't look good for Xbox even the Scorpio is probably too late.

@john_c You can run and download games it will act the same as the internal drive.

Sniper Elite 4 as I just love the series. Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is also looking great which is due in April. I'll get Horizon eventually but it hasn't really interested me much yet.

Well expect a skewed poll on this one. Pro boost is only beneficial to its owners whilst all other features apply to all PS4 owners.

My pick would be the Boost mode something that should have been there from the start.

About time it's been long overdue. I actually don't mind deleting games to make room for newer titles but we shouldn't need to.

@ShogunRok Exactly though Fallout 4 is supposed to be finally getting Pro support next week. Witcher 3 and AC Unity should greatly benefit from this though if true.

@Dreamcaster-X But their 4k scaler introduces some serious lag.

This had better be good as people's expectations are now so high. Personally I'm not that hyped for it so am less likely to be disappointed.

I'd love a new Resistance game but sadly Insomniac aren't interested.

@Splat Exactly all they have left is Halo, Forza and Gears and those are available on PC so what is the point.

Sony have some great games coming plus we get a lot of the cool Japanese games to choose from which I still enjoy.

I'm very surprised by the variable resolutions and frame rates given that it doesn't even look that good to start with. Wasn't this supposed to hit a steady upscaled 4k on the Pro according to the advertising.

@Chris0160 This is just a strategy spin off, similar to the old PS2 DW Tactics games.

@ShogunRok I hope so but as they are going for an open world type of game with DW9 I wouldn't be surprised if it gets delayed till next year especially as they have a lot of titles releasing already this year.

@ShogunRok DW9 is still a long way away from being released though isn't it, so they will have a very long wait.

I'd rather they increase the field of view this is one of the few games that gives me a headache when I play due to the terribly low FOV.

Well I'll listen more to Jim as at least he gives his honest opinion and isn't reliant upon sponsors ad etc. like the rest. I don't always agree with him but there is always truth in what he says.

I'm sorry but this is not a good review. You even failed to mention the main issue that most players have contacted Ubisoft about which is the audio cutting out or missing ambient effects and music.

This years Fifa 17 is an appalling game why do these idiots keep buying it when PES is a far superior football game.

@Flaming_Kaiser NO 900p vs 1080p is petty complaining.

We can all live with it if a game is locked at 30 fps and we have no other choice. But come on let's not pretend that there isn't a big difference between the two and given the choice 99% of people would always choose the 60 fps option over 30 (except console fanboys of course).

I don't know a single PC gamer who would say that 30fps is acceptable for gaming.

The limiting factor with all these recent consoles is their poor mobile CPUs.

Well all Xbox has left is Forza and Gears really and both of those are also available on the PC so what's the point in owning an Xbox any more.

Reminded me of GT3 which was a good thing as that was for me the last good one.

What a strange bunch the difference between 30 and 60 fps is night and day I suspect many of you haven't played on a good PC or didn't game years ago when it was standard even on consoles.
