To be fair .... It's been 25 years.... How else would they celebrate the launch? Other sites have done great write ups on it anreaay. Makes sense from a business standpoint. So many gamers out their don't know about that console now and it's a way for them to experience that epic moment in gaming for us older gamers

The running theory is that they are rolling this out to be compatible with the rumored Portal 2 along with the PS6

Would you relate it to Stellar blade and it's form of permanent upgrades. I really like that game a lot and I'm not a normal soul player because I don't like the aspect of dying and losing everything but dying and staying stronger there's a much better formula for me

After 10 years of an on again off again relationship I think I finally am about to beat Witcher 3 then it's onto the dlc.
Other than that I'm just biding my time for Ghost of Yotai!!!!!

Cold Fear was AWESOME back in the day. I Am Alive was a cool rough concept of a game. Would totally buy these again. Hopefully this is Ubisoft's future. Sell all the IPs they don't care about anymore and LET OTHER DEVELOPERS breathe new life inro these franchises.

It's cool but something just seems off and too floaty and everything from his movement and combat.
Will probably pass BUT I do love the concept of less hand holding games I will say though. With that I feel like if you haven't played it in a couple days and forgot what you are doing then maybe your screwed lol

The demo was absolutely amazing and I loved it just don't have time for it yet but I'll definitely be buying it at some point. Just wasnt a day 1 purchase for me and I think that Is the same for allot of people.
Honestly too, not allot of people talked about it when it launched either. I think they could have put a bit more funding into market for it

PLEASE bring Ori series to PlayStation. That was the one and only game I beat back when I had a switch and would gladly play it again. Perfect on the portal. Plus 4k120hrz with adaptive triggers... Let's gooo!!!!!

Dang it's been so nice continuing Witcher 3 on the Portal via cloud streaming... Hopefully Sony is working on cloud streaming personal libraries soon

My only question is, can I pause the game yet?
That's the one thing that always pulls me away from sort of likes his the inability to actually pause the game like you can in Stellar Blade

@BecauseBecause personal opinion but yeah it really hasn't aged well at all. I've tried it on PC and PS2 both with a controller cuz that's my preferred as well along with sitting in the living room with surround sound and a 55 in TV.
But that didn't even help.
Also, more importantly than a controller, I just want to boot up the game and have it work and not jump through numerous hoops to play something like with a pc

It's taken 25 years since the "console wars" "started" but it's so nice to finally see the realization of no matter what you play on just being able to play almost all the games at some point.
Obviously this only holds true for Xbox and PS but still cool to see that bridge becoming shorter and shorter between the 2 companies.
Makes absolute sense from a business standpoint too cause it's just additional income for an older game that has been out for a while.
Keep em coming Microsoft. I'll gladly renuy then having played and owned and Xbox and 360 back in the day.

I just never stuck with it cause live service games are a waste of time for me and my tastes.

This is why I don't play live service games.

I didn't mind it at all. I thought it was good facing for people that never played the game. I also haven't played the game since launch so I don't really remember what happened. But it was believable to me like she's about to get gutted and then an alarm sounds off that says there home is being attacked so what do you do you don't worry about killing one person you let her go to save your home.

You can cancel and a day later get it again at the discount. Did it last year.
That said not sure if I'll be getting premium again this time. It was giving me too much on my plate to play.

@Trauma_Team_Medic same. I'm bumping down to essential. It was just too many options to play and I wasn't even focusing on the back catalog of games that I actually bought

The Onimusha remaster also brought japanese dialog options.

Was just talking with a buddy of mine and had spent 3 months working on Witcher 3 and wasn't even done with Act 1.
Last year I beat 12 games. This year I had only beat 2 so far, I don't have time for games like that. Decided to focus more and smaller dinner sized games. Since April, have thoroughly finished and really enjoyed Stellar Blade, Evil Within, BioShock. Currently working on BioShock 2. Been great to go back on work on smaller games plus work on my back catalog.

PS2 era style game development.

I'm glad to see it coming sooner. We need more games that are done in the old school style of just reusing assets and evolving it a little bit more rather than 6 to 7 years for a sequel.

I still think they should have saved Joel's death or potential death for the end of season 2 and built up the rest of the story in other ways somehow I think if they did a sopranos style fade black right as Joel get popped with the butt of the shotgun that would have been a really good way to end season 2 and have people claiming for season 3.
That being said I am all for a different take on something I've experienced already. I personally don't want to see you the same exact thing I played in the video game played out in tv beat for beat

@VatoLoco47 of course. But I know that the writing staff is so much better than Ubisoft. So I know the story will be done in a great way

Good. Hopefully more people will play this and more people will buy it and they will get the green light to work on the sequel to this incredibly underrated game

@ChromaticDracula same. I just started Indiana Jones after beating the Phenomenal Stellar Blade but there is definitely a replay of GoT on PS5 and the dlc that I never played before this comes out

@ChromaticDracula yeah I find myself not liking or completing open world games. Never completed a GTA game for that reason. I personally need more of a linear structure but I am incredibly excited for yotai. If anyone can do it right sucker Punch can

This thankfully is a game that I don't think will suffer from poor writing because of its open-ended kill anyone in any order nature. Unlike assassin's Creed shadows and Star Wars outlaws with their open world kill anyone in any order philosophy.
If anyone knows how to make a fantastic game it's sucker punch. Can't wait for this, day one for me

Theory with them removing the resistance games.
They are working on porting them properly.
Companies are finally realizing that we want ports of old "classic" games. At least I hope.
Now we just need infamous 1/2 and Festival of Blood ported!!!!!

I mean this is basically what most games are now a days. So nothing new. Heck AC Shadows was a 100gb install off the disc and I doubt there is any data left on that thing.
All this being said, I'm so pumped for this and got my preorder locked it. Before Shadows sucked me in and I pre-ordered (it's SO. GOOD!!!!) This was the main game I was looking forward too

Seeing as how I haven't replayed this since launch. I'm SO THERE. Hope this brings allot of new people to this game and it's gets the better recognition it deserves with the masses

Absolutely amazing game. I never fully beat the original on PS2 back in the day even though I still own that copy. It was really fun to have this remake be my first experience and truly enjoyed it and the DLC. During Black Friday I did grab the psvr too Horizon bundle so I'm very excited to replay this game in VR as I heard it was very well done and received as well

Just be happy that we are getting ps2 games finally. They are decent (it is a ps2 game after all) and allot of fun. That's all that matters.

Sounds great so far. Really glad to hear the map size is similar to Origins. That's a perfect size imo.
