Just wait until you see how fast the steam machine sells out. It does stink but the fact of the matter is we are in a k shaped economy. While they’re have nots there are a huge amount of haves that just don’t care about prices. Look at your favorite concert artists/sporting events. Tickets are more than what you think these consoles will cost and they sell out constantly.

I always find it strange when I see these articles pop up about CP2077's "amazing redemption." I'm in the minority I supposed in that I don't think CP2077 is that great even after all the updates. I think the gun designs and shooting is pretty good although gets old. The story is...meh. All the dynamics that they alluded to the city feeling alive and reactive to you was never achieved. Not even close.

The same company that had to write down $1.4 BILLION with a B because, in their words, "lack of long tail revenue from premium titles" (Say Hi to AC Shadows.) These companies need to change their PR tactic. There is and will never be any correlation between the press's accusations of AI and gamers purchasing games. The only people that are benefitting are sites like this one farming engagement traffic, that's it. So the PR teams simply don't need to respond at all because ultimately nobody cares

I'm always envious of "my backlog is huge" I've played and beaten every game I'm interested in. I'm twiddling my thumbs at the dearth of new releases over the past few years in general

KH3 was so terrible that I'm convinced they're taking forever just so people forget and buy this one for nostalgia. KH2 was the peak and I doubt they'll be able to come close to that high again if KH3 was a sign of what's to come.

Jaffe is on point here. Like him or not this will be a title that will not sell the way Sony expects/wants it too. More stories of “Sony first party title sales continue to decline” to come.

If the choices are (and it is) extremely long development times or we use AI to hasten/streamline the process I’m picking the latter every time. As will the studios. I’m excited for the time these won’t be stories anymore.

I don’t understand why it’s a “relief” thay it isn’t launched in September. Who cares if multiple games you want to play come out in the same month? Buy the games you want and play them in the order you want.

Let’s see if the pr machines can save this one. So far they’re 0-3 with concord, highguard and marathon.

It wouldn’t have been had Bungie just made Marathon an epic single player campaign with solid multiplayer. However, I was reliably told that I was just an angry gamer and that marathon was going to be great or something.

@Oram77 except for the last time they made a prequel that almost bankrupted the studio. On paper, this sounds awful.

@wildcat_kickz It seems as though these studios are sinking so much money and resources into the parts that don’t really make a game good. It’s nice that the snow looks really pretty but…your game still flopped and cost an absolute fortune to make.

@IOI Outrageous means there is something immoral about it. Sony is just running their business. Clearly, they think they need to do this to run their business. You could use the word “huge” or “massive” price increase if you’d like. Those are still subjective. $100 isn’t a lot to some people and to others it’s a lot. Outrageous doesn’t work regardless, though.

@AhmadSumadi I don’t “hate” AC Shadows. I didn’t like the all the “I told you so’s” (this site was one of them) that were saying AC Shadows was a success by going off “x many people played”.
