When Does the Horizon Hunters Gathering Closed Beta Start?

The Horizon Hunters Gathering closed beta test takes place over the course of four days.
The open beta begins 11AM PDT on Friday 22nd May and concludes at 8PM PDT on Monday 25th May.
How Do You Join the Horizon Hunters Gathering Closed Beta?
In order to take part in the Horizon Hunters Gathering closed beta test, you must sign up for the PlayStation Beta Program.
Sign into your PlayStation account and go through the steps in the above link. Once complete, you may be selected to join the beta test.
Not everyone who signs up will get in. You will be informed about your involvement when invitations are emailed out nearer the time. At the time of publication, some invites have been distributed.

The Horizon Hunters Gathering closed beta includes several playable characters and modes, giving you a good slice of what to expect from the final game.
Characters
You'll be able to play as five characters, each with different specialities and weapon types:
- Axle
- Rem
- Sun
- Shadow
- Ensa
Modes
There are two main modes available to play in the Horizon Hunters Gathering closed beta:
- Machine Incursion: fight enemy machines, build up your character, and fight a big boss at the end
- Cauldron Descent: work through a series of combat rooms and other challenges as you descend towards a large machine at the bottom
On top of that, users will be able to check out a few other bits and pieces.
- Episode: you'll be able to check out an Episode, which is one of the game's story missions
- The Gathering: you can check out the Gathering, which is the game's social hub where you can meet with other players
