My R2 broke yesterday (D2 is fine) and I have a replacement coming from amazon today, bust one posted yesterday. These things are fantastic but so brittle. I knew this would happen. They need a hardware revision ASAP and also a DS pro with upgraded parts, metal instead of plastic would help. DS pro, and DS V2. Make it happen Sony. Congratulations on the PS5 dude.
@hoffa007 I might see what it's like and although I did enjoy it when I played it with a couple of friends, I got bogged down with the extra guff and bloat. I only paid £7.99 for it though.
@hypnotoad what's having all the uncharted games got to do with playing tomb raider?
Rise of the tomb raider is probably my favourite game in the series, shadow is good but not quite up there imo. Having played all the UC games wouldn't stop me from playing it.
Unfortunately most people don't have lots of time to play games. Any time they do get they're more likely to want to actually play something decent than try to create their own or play something OK that someone else has made. That's the biggest issue with dreams imo.
I absolutely loved this. Finished off the time trial gold trophy yesterday. The sounds and catchy music are amazing. I've not had memorable game music in my head since the C64! The graphics are lovely and the icing on the cake was the stunning use of the new controller. Brilliant game that made me smile more than anything I've ever played. Just watch mystic on YouTube. His reaction playthrough is EXACTLY how I felt. Yes there's better, more impressive games around, but as a pack in freebie to usher in a new era, it's untouched imo.
Demon's souls isn't that hard. The insane SSD load times makes soul farming a breeze. I clocked up a million souls in 45 mins in the last section of the shrine of storms level with the sky sword. That made levelling up your character pretty easy and more balanced rather than just focusing on a few categories. I left the game at soul level 130. Flew through level 1 and then BOOOOM, ng+hits you with its total brutality. I left a lot of the trophies behind so hopefully I can get them via Co op. The first ps game I've paid 70 quid for and worth every penny. I have put 80 hours into it so far but am taking a break to play sackboy.
And as much as I like the music on sackboy, some does grate a little bit. Astro though, man those tunes are catchy as. Probably my favourite game tunes for a long time. Music in games used to be like this all the time when I was young, memorable and catchy. They really got into your head. Then 16bit came and took the magic of memorable music away. It's odd. When composers had more memory to work with the tunes went away. That's how it seemed anyway. I'd love to hear what Rob Hubbard and Martin Galway could do nowadays. And then we had the fabulous Ben Dalglish. He was another giant in his field. RIP Ben.
@TheLightSpirit we are talking PlayStation here, not xbox. That's like me saying, 'hey, none of these are as good as the new Megadeth tune'. Ya mentalist!
https://youtu.be/41_d4D7T6uI Throat singing? Check those guys out! I might have to check out the pathless, then again it'll be a PS plus game in the summer I reckon.
Sackboy! Bought it yesterday after getting a £35 psn card. I was going to wait for a sale but I thought I was only adding 25 quid and was supporting a pretty local UK Dev.
Very enjoyable but playing through again for the plat was slightly tedious, but at least you kept your powers etc to make it easier, and you could just pop it on the easiest setting. I thought the trophies were pretty good and didn't ask you to try and get almost impossible goals like gold all combat activities or complete the game on the hardest difficulty etc.
Good characters and the graphics were OK, good in places on fidelity mode, but still obviously cross gen.
A solid 7/10 from me.
@Mjoen you say 'like' when it's really unnecessary, it's really irritating. Do you constantly do the same thing with 'literally' too? I have this with my daughter all the time, it's beyond infuriating! Soz, just grumpy because it's Christmas and there's a bug going around.

Re: Call of Duty Warzone Guide: How to Get Started, Best Guns, and How to Win
Don't bother with it on your ps5.
You need to install modern warfare.
Complete with cold War it takes up over 350 gig of precious.
Ridiculous.

Re: Godfall Primal Update Out Now on PS5, Adds New Endgame Content, Loot, and More
The best time to jump in is when it's on ps plus guys. It's still fifty odd quid for a distinctly average game.
Re: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Dated for 11th June
Digital deluxe editions really are a complete waste of money.

Re: Game of the Year: #10 - The Pathless
I don't think many of us ps5 owners bought it.

At least your review was honest. Unlike some sites with gamer and euro in them.

@Gaming365247 not my cuppa tea but cool if those are what you like.
Re: Random: This Guy Has Five PS5s
My friend bought 5 on the second batch and three on launch.
I have one and sold the disc one I didn't want for 600 pounds.

@Gaming365247 well done! What awesome games did you get?
Re: Returnal Looks Super Cool in New Gameplay Clips
Looks good. However that price tag will kill it.
If it had Co op that would be great, I'm unsure if Co op has been mentioned or not yet though.
Re: PS Store January Sale Starts Tomorrow, Promises 'Huge Savings'
@Rob_230 not really imo.
Re: PS Store January Sale Starts Tomorrow, Promises 'Huge Savings'
Bubble bobble 4 needs a discount.
Re: Reaction: How Does It Keep Going Wrong for Big Game Launches?
It's not bloody rocket science. They release games that aren't sodding finished. Ubi are particularly bad, it's not just cdpr
Re: Sackboy: A Big Adventure Sews Up Online Update Today, PS4 to PS5 Save Transfer
I'll buy this when it's under 45 quid. Looks fun and after astro it's made me want to play it.
Re: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege (PS5) - Multiplayer FPS Is Only Let Down by Its Community
There should be a haptic ds mode only with double xp. That'd get more playing it properly and level the playing field.
Re: Spider-Man: Miles Morales PS5 Update Adds Ray Tracing at 60FPS, Here's What It Looks Like
@S1ayeR74 it won't be 4k, probably around 1440p

Why no option for proper ps5 version?
