@Anti-Matter I had the very same thought recently: My OG PS5 (1016A) has the biggest heatsink out of all the PS5s released. My PS5 has remained cool and silent in almost 4yrs. Will the PRO be as reliable in 4yrs?

@gollumb82 That was me also, bruv. I cancelled my PRO preorder and instead bought myself a Samsung a 65 QN90D. My OG PS5 is still going strong, so I I'll wait for the PS6 instead.

I just checked my PS5 here in 'OL Blighty and no update. Us brits always get the updates later than the rest of the world.

@nomither6 That is so true! Sony have always made the Original consoles 'chunky. I have never been a fan of slimmer versions being consequently released. That is why I am not liking the PS5 PRO, due to how it looks similar to the Slim.
You are right about the OG's becoming more sort after due to how well the cooling works:never had a issue with overheating. Are you getting the PRO?

@JackiePriest I feel your frustration too, Jackie. I also have the OG PS5. Got it at UK launch. Been running like a champion for almost 4 years. Now? It's forgotten like yesterday's news for the newest shiny. Sad time.

@__jamiie This is why I am using my dualsense on my PS3. I only wished the PS button worked. But the dualsense is nice to use!

@Jrs1 I have a PS5 since the official launch. It is a good console but I have been playing my PS3 again. Currently replaying MGS4. What a game!

@Czar_Khastik I am not the person you are replying to, but I also have a dualsense edge. I bought it at launch and it is my daily driver. I just cannot use any other dualsense due to the rear paddles, trigger stops and customizable buttons. It is a joy to use. Currently playing RE4 and my rear left paddle is for sprint and the other 1 for melee.
IMO it is worth every penny. It works super well with Returnal and any FPS. All the PlayStation pro gamers use the edge.

I am normally given a beta code due to myself doing regular beta testing since the PS4. Hopefully i'll get lucky with another code for tomorrow...

@PSPortalRules As long as you are near your ps5, you can use your bluetooth headset. Just make sure you turn down the volume on your portal. I have neen using my pulse on my portal through my ps5. Just change the speaker setting on your ps5 to headset. It will work with all your bluetooth headsets.

I for one cannot wait until i receive my Portal on wednesday. This will be perfect for my gaming habits. Baldur's gate 3 will be superb!

I have had not one single crash or any bugs in my 32 hours of me playing Spider-man 2. I also got my platinum for it earlier today. A most impressive game i have enjoyed every second. Well done Insomniac!

I was in the july closed beta test. So all i have to do is redownload tekken 8 again on my ps5 in october. No need to register again. Result!

For me personally it is a 10. Simply perfection. This is 1 of only a few games i will permanently keep on my ps5. The others are MK1, GTAV, AC6 and Spider-man 2 when it is released.

@gwyntendo I didn't even realise how much time i was playing until i saw sammy's post. Destiny holds a special place in my gaming heart with all the people i met and friended on my journey called life!

@get2sammyb I had a clan who i gamed with nightly playing Destiny 1. That game was perfection. I 1st heard about it at E3 which then had a alpha demo. I was hooked! VOG is my alltime raid. Now? My hours have calmed down somewhat lol.

Spider-man 2 is shaping up to be a mind-blowing experience! I also have the dualsense and the plates coming today. Plus with the CE preordered, i am ready for SM2!

@BaeYoobin I am on NG+ so far. About to finish chapter 3. At 1st my controlling of the AC was rough. Now? I am an expert lol. Playing on ps5.

@Olmaz Armored core 6 is only 120fps on pc. On ps5 it is a constant 60fps using performance mode. It is silky smooth and very responsive with VRR on.

@Dragoon1994 Armored core is straight fire, Drag! It is so smooth on the ps5. I used to be in a D&D clan many moons ago and it just a great way to meet new people who understood me. I was arkward and shy but D&D made me more confident to speak up. So for me, Baldur's gate 3 is a return to my gaming history. Can't wait! I bought the deluxe edition so i can play the 1st act next saturday. I also get the spider-man 2 plates/dualsense coming next friday. My poor wallet!

I just preordered the Spider-man 2 panels/dualsenee as my ps5 needs a new coat. Poor thing has been wearing the same white coat since the UK launch! I also got the collectors edition on preorder too. My hype level is over 9000!

@wiiware I got the platinum for FFXVI on sunday. It took me 127hrs in game time. What a game!

@OrtadragoonX i am really fortunate to have hair because my 2 brothers are both bald but have amazing beards. They seem to get more women looking at them than me lol. It is true headshapes really compliment certain hairstyles. I have had so many hairstyles over the years but i find having dreads the easiest one to maintain, but mom keeps asking me when i will get a haircut and be more like my brothers. I just smile and change the subject! Having the confidence to wear your hair/clothes how you want/like is a massive plus in my eyes since i was always the one to be different and who never follows the crowd.

@AverageGamer My cousin said to me "why don't you grow dreads?" I took her advice so she turned my afro into dreadlocks. That was march 2021. Now they are thick shoulder length dreads which i get asked how i did it by mostly women. They want to see how it feels in their hands!

@alixx Why not? My dreadlocks are shoulder length in 2yrs. My hair grows quick so why can't miles? Once you have enough hair growth, the hair will be thick enough to hold the dreads. Have you got dreads? Do you know anyone with dreads?

@Korgon Not at all. Have my day one ps5 playing FFXVI for nearly 50hrs without a single crash/overheating. Has your friend ever cleaned his ps5? Has his ps5 got enough ventilation? You cannot blame a day one ps5. More likely user error.

So, a handful of ps5 owners who without any basis of fact have overheating ps5's?
Pushsquare, i never knew you are perpetulating FUD on the very console you base your website on.
My day one ps5 has never crashed playing any game including FFXVI. I clean out the fan/heatsink twice a year. Ps5 still runs quiet and cool.
