@AaronBayne question regarding frame rate on Pro. I’ve see a video testing the frame rate with the game running on base PS5 with a very stable 60 but when the “beast mode” was activated it tanked in the low 40s, so outside the VRR window. Did you encountered the same thing?

Simce Sony and Rockstar have some kind of contract regarding GTA6, I’m certain this is why it was pushed back to 2026 so it can release when PSSR 2.0 will be ready and make it the only console to run it at 60fps

Talking about player count and not copies sold is like Disney talking about minutes watched Vs real viewership. It’s because the sales are not going the way they want and they try to create buzz. It’s just manipulative industry speech. But hey, it’s a good game so I wish them the best

Yup, got the email yesterday and cancelled my EXTRA tier. Waste of money anyway. Pretty sure the only day one release I’ve played was Stray since the start of Extra and nothing else since or maybe one other, plus I have no backlog so it’s worthless to me. Just basic is more than fine and expensive enough already

This is a great strategic date so they can have the excuse to push it back to 2026 because of GTA 6

Crazy thing is that I was realy hyped for this and started the game yesterday to finish all the hordes to get everything before a fresh ng+ for the remastered, then I realized that I don’t really care. Same thing happened with Horizon remastered. I finished these 2 games 3 times in the past and it seems that’s my limit. So it’s a no go for me but for first time players you are going to have an amazing time. Great game

Paying for Extra is the worst thing I’ve wasted money on in term of subscription. I really though we would have gotten a lot more day one indie games like Stray. It’s awesome for new players or for players with a huge backlog. For me it’s worthless

125 hours so far. VRR absolutely necessary

I’m so happy I don’t really like the cosmetic packs announced with the gold and ultimate editions. This will save me a lot of cash and we all know Ubi games get deals pretty soon after launch so I’m pretty sure we’ll be able to a good deal on the season pass between black friday and the end of the year, so way before the first dlc comes out.

Everything looks pretty cool except that damn haircut. But it’s ubisoft so outfits will be part of the game I’m sure. Will play this on the Pro hopefully but shame that Ubi+ is not on Playstation because 25$ for a month for the ultimate edition is a steal

This is a PS5 Pro title.

Man, once my Extra subscription runs out that’s it, never again. For new players it’s amazing but for zero, close to zero value.

Glad for the mission replay. One of the rare games I don’t want to do a ng+ since most of the side missions/content were just bad and boring.
Main story is great though so if I can only replay that I’m in.

@ATaco there’s a patch coming out later this year for PS5 and Series X/S. Right now the games are running in backward compatibility. So I’ll wait

So 60fps on Pro? If so I’m there.
I have GP and was waiting for a possible 60fps patch down the road before playing it. This might just be it but on Playstation🤣🤣

For the technical side of things, 10/10.
For the story and pacing, 7/10
So a solid 8.5 for me

This game deserves all the success of Marvel’s Avengers

The campaign was great but, except for the fire cult missions, the side contents was just bad compared with other open world games and with some really cringe dialogues.
I haven’t even played BG3 but I’ve seen enough of it on streams to know it’s objectively goty 2023.

I’ve seen fps video of the game and pop ins are certainly not the only performance issues. The framerate can go in the 40s during combat, that’s not good

How do we have a 10 without any word on how it runs? Does it hold the 60fps in performance mode? If not, does it go outside the PS5 VRR window? Question like these should have answers in the review of a game getting a perfect score.

Well, this is an easy hard pass. I hope they are making another Ghost Recon

I’ll be getting because:
1-I only bought 3 games on disc since the launch (and 3 on xbox) so it really is not a “necessity” for me to have a disc reader
2-the only place where I was able to rent games just stop doing so
3-My friend wants to buy my PS5 so I won’t be paying full price for the new one

But I’m not stressed if I can’t get one on launch day.

I bought it on xbox because it was easier to play with a controller with back buttons than on PS5. But on xbox since 1.06 there is some kind of flickering on reflective surfaces that happens from time to time. Quite annoying at night

I wanted to love this game but the combat was really bad. Did not go back to it since the major update on Xbox. Too many great games right now to even entertain the idea of playing this game again

@Bamila absolutely too much money. I have both an Elite and the Edge. Amazing controllers but I got my Elite used and Edge with gift cards I got for my birthday this year. No way I was going to pay full price for those. I prefer to buy back buttons adapters for the base controller because of all features this is the one that matters the most for me
