@GeeEssEff @Slayer25c @captainsandman @Cliffj oh for sure, I know the cloud infrastructure well as I work in the IT industry and cloud computing/server hosting. Thank you for the replies though as they're all valid points and useful information for those not in the know.
Unfortunately (for me) that was a quick post before I dashed off to answer the beep of the oven so I cut it short...
What I was trying to get at is that there should be a limited space for cloud saves included as standard so everyone can choose which games are important enough for them to back up, say a couple of gig per user tops (or maybe a maximum of 10 save games at a time for example), especially as we used to be able to back up to USB (now we can only perform a full system backup to USB, which is hardly practical), but now the only option for save data backup is to subscribe to PS Plus. It's no different to what Nintendo are doing to be fair, but I still believe there should be a way for everyone to safeguard their save data, subscription or not.
I wouldn't expect Sony or anyone to give away 100GB of storage. Not even Microsoft or Google would do that with OneDrive or Google Drive... Like you guys say, they're running a business after all!
As an aside, I'm pretty sure Sony are using Microsoft Azure services for their cloud data and streaming services, unless that changed in the last few years... I don't blame them though, MS have the most reliable and stable cloud infrastructure out there.
Playstation definitely has the best balance between first party and third party games atm, especially so if you're playing on a Pro now PSSR 2 has eliminated the issues with the earlier software.
My concern with Sony's first party output today is that they've shuttered a lot of the more interesting studios, and many that defined Playstation to many gamers. While we still have those like Naughty Dog and Insomniac, they're tied up with AAA blockbuster titles. No bad thing of course, but these are often sequels or games that follow a tried and tested formula... We don't really have those studios willing to take risks or make games that were a bit more experimental or left field, stuff like Parappa the Rapper, Gravity Rush, LocoRoco, and even major hits/fan favourites such as WipEout and Motorstorm... And of course Bluepoint Games who were arguably the best at bringing Sony's back catalogue titles back as remasters and remakes.
Unfortunately the industry has changed a lot in recent years, and in doing so we've lost a lot of creativity across the board, not just within Sony. Microsoft almost killing off Tango Gameworks, and shuttering Arkane Austin among others, it seems it's these smaller, arguably more creative studios that seem to be being axed and that worries me for creativity in the future gaming landscape... Thankfully the indie scene seems to be picking up the slack here, but it's clear that these smaller studios often struggle without guaranteed funding or a publisher in place.
@get2sammyb definitely. Despite the PS3 being technically superior to the 360, the 360 was easier to develop for and got the install base out of the gate due to Sony's wild ideas about making the PS3 a multi media centre (which I still can't understand why Microsoft tried to follow suit and double down on in with their orignal XBox One in the following generation!).
I always check which console to buy a 3rd party game on, and back then 360 was the place to play 99% of the time as those PS3 versions/ports were second priority, and sometimes even handed off to a sub developer studio instead of the main devs.
That all flipped on its head when the next generation rolled around of course...
@Quintumply psst the Scuf uses TMR sticks, not Hall Effect. They're different technologies, TMR being the newest and better of the two. Both are far superior to standard sticks though.
I'm also throwing my hat into the ring to say it's a bit odd to have someone who hasn't played any other Supermassive game since Until Dawn review this. If you had, you'd understand the "replay decisions" system (which has gone by several names over the various games, but this reviewer may remember it as the Butterfly Effect moments from Until Dawn).
It'd also be remiss not to point out the contradiction in this review: they dislike the "replay decision" mechanic and said they'd rather play the game through from start to finish again, but then also say they have no desire to replay the game. Now I get that replayability all depends on your enjoyment of the game, but how can you dismiss a totally optional feature designed to help players to see all outcomes, collect all trophies, change decisions to allow them to go for the equivalent of a save everyone/lose everyone run in favour of a complete replay, especially when you're claiming you don't want to reply everything. It makes little sense. That said, I do understand the sense of spoilers when looking at the branching web of decisions and their outcomes, but this whole mechanic is designed for replaying the game, not for your first play through. I can't speak for how this is presented in Directive 8020, but the previous games showed you this is available, but didn't push you to immediately use it as implied in this review.
I'm not trying to neg on this review, just point out some things as someone who has played the other Supermassive titles.
I'm still interested to play Directive 8020, but I'll wait for the inevitable price drop/sale/PS Plus inclusion.
I'm looking forward to FH6, love the Japanese setting. The only thing missing for me is a PSVR 2 mode, but that's cuz I love VR, and nothing comes close to playing in VR with a steering wheel, it elevates racing games to a whole new level.
Here's hoping we don't have to wait too long for the PS5 version.
I see several major factors playing into the sales of Saros;
it's both a bullet hell and a roguelike game, two genres that have their own niche audiences. This isn't a bad thing, but it hardly has widespread appeal.
cost of living and economic uncertainty right now means people are being more frugal with their money...
Crimson Desert and Pragmata both released within the last couple of months, and plenty of people bought those meaning they may not have spare cash for another game right now. Not to mention they're likely still playing those games so aren't looking for something new just yet. It also doesn't help that both of these titles cost around £20 less than Saros!
charging £70 for a bullet hell roguelike is a big risk. I've always said this should have been a £50 title at best, regardless of production costs. I absolutely love Housemarque’s work, but it's the typical Sony greed factor at play, much the same as they did with No Man's Sky at launch, and Lost Soul Aside, which were both clearly a indie/AA passion projects with inflated RRP's due to Sony's involvement.
I'm not trying to be negative here, just taking a holistic view of the situation.
I actually had a physical copy of Saros on order for £50, but I didn't hear back from my supplier and decided I didn't need another game right now seeing as I'm still playing Crimson Desert and have a huge backlog to get through... I'll just wait until Saros is on a deep sale and pick it up then, or second hand, which is a shame as I want to support Housemarque... I'm just sick of these £70 RRP games. I get it, inflation, games cost more to make these days, yada yada... But increased prices is going to equate to lower potential sales until prices drop, with people being more selective.
I just really hope this doesn't reflect badly on Housemarque as their output has always been quality titles. I'd hate for them to end up having lay offs, or worse still, being shuttered because of Sony's greed and poor business decisions (yes, I'm still not over them closing Bluepoint and Japan Studio!).
As per their website: "Lords of the Fallen is a dark fantasy action-RPG..."
So yeah, the images check out for that description. The armour sets and characters don't have to be based in realism, because, you know "dark fantasy".
Stop getting your knickers in a twist Push Square.
As I mentioned above, I'm not really sold on the idea of having everything looking like it's been run through an Ai slop filter.
It's good at least that DLSS 5 will be optional, but is that really going to stop it from being used in games where developers choose not to implement it? If it's not avaliable as a global toggle to apply to whatever game is running through the Nvidia control center, I'm sure there will be people who will find a way to mod the functionality into some games regardless... Either way, both scenarios would end up compromising and altering the artistic vision of these games, whether the studios wanted it or not, which sucks.
@hol_up for the demo it did, yes (one was running the game, the other dedicated to DLSS 5). But Nvidia claimed it would run on a single graphics card (allegedly all of the 50 range) for the production release. My guess would be that it'll run at different detail levels on the various gfx cards so they can support the existing ones while promoting the new (read: more expensive!) ones for best results.
Can't say I'm sold on it. While it was undoubtedly impressive tech running in real time to add those effects, it just made everything look like those Ai slop filters 🤮
I enjoyed what I played in the Beta. It may sound cliché, but this does exactly what it set out to do in the best way possible (ArcSys fighting game mechanics with Japanese spins Marvel character designs).
As long as they don't go mad with the dlc characters and expansions (looking at you Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Dead or Alive!) I can see this being a roaring success.
Wolverine is a great character, but man I'm having a hard time being excited for this game. I don't think there's anything inherently off or bad with the little we've seen so far either, and Insomniac obviously have the pedigree to ease any doubts...which leads me to conclude it must be Disney's "quantity over quality" output for their franchises that has just left me somewhat numb to new "content".
Maybe some gameplay and story overview will help, but as a Marvel fan since the 80s and given that Wolverine is "one of the biggest upcoming PS5 exclusives", I can't help but feel that I should be excited for this, not feeling like I couldn't care less 🤷🏻♂️
I can't help but feel that it's just another unfortunate example of Sony demonstrating how out of touch they are with their player base... It's not like there hasn't been public opinion (positive and negative) on the various projects in their pipeline, and the decisions they've made, but for some reason Sony seem content in diving head first into doing these things that no one really wants.
I'm genuinely surprised that Fairgames is still in development. The tepid player response to the reveal should have been enough to convince Sony that this wasn't one to keep throwing money into, and doing so is even more bewildering when you consider that other projects like the Twisted Metal game, which some people were actually excited for, were cancelled 🤷🏻♂️
@somnambulance "I do like NSO better than PS+ Premium and GPU too. I like having legacy games under an umbrella that I pay for on a relatively cheap yearly subscription, but that has the blind spot that could be covered with a return to the Virtual Console collection."
Nintendo are definitely missing a trick by not allowing the classics to be purchased separately. I have zero interest in playing my Switch (1 or 2) online, but there are a few games in the classics collection that I'd snap up in a heartbeat if they were available! The only saving grace is that the price of subscription for a year is very cheap compared to Playstation & XBox, so perhaps I'll have to bite the bullet at some point, play the games I want and then sack it off... Maybe around the time of The Duskbloods if anything. But my point still stands, I'd prefer to give them money to own those titles, not rent them. It's a huge oversight on their part imo (and yes, the same applies to Sony with some of the titles they only add to Premium, I'm not upgrading my sub).
Honestly, I don't think the choices are granular enough as both companies/services need to stop charging for online play. Having to pay to play online isn't offering value to anyone in terms of the consumer.
Looking at the game selections alone, Game Pass clearly has the upper hand with the day and date first party games, along with more day and date third party games compared to the PS Plus offerings. With that said, not including those games day and date means that PS Plus is a cheaper alternative, and still has good selection of games, especially for gamers who haven't necessarily built a software collection on the platform. The Extra tier is easy to recommend to anyone coming over to Playstation, but unless you're interested in streaming, Premium is a hard sell, especially with the absolute apathy we've been shown towards the classics catalogue.
I've always felt the Game Pass model wasn't sustainable, it's simple economics, however this could have been offset somewhat by making more first party games multi platform either day one or with a timed delay (which is what we've started to see happen), as Microsoft can still your XBox as having those games available day and date as part of their subscription, no extra charge to the players, while also earning from the sales on other platforms.
Removing CoD as a specific franchise from the subscription model to lower the price makes sense, but as I've mentioned before, it also opens the door up for other games and franchises to follow suit.
In summary, I think Sony had it right with their PS Now model, offering a selection of games as an optional add on, but the game subscription model needs to be separated from online play on both platforms (and Nintendo too while we're at it). And remove the faux value items like Fortnite Club etc, these again should be optional discounted add ons for those who are interested.
This was objectively a great move to make to bring down the price of Game Pass... It only affects XBox players who want to play CoD, and the savings you make over the year pay for the game outright. For everyone else, they get to save a few quid (admittedly the prices are still higher than they were before the hike earlier this year, but let's not open that can of worms).
My only concern here is that this opens the door for future titles to become "day one on Game Pass" on a case by case basis, or perhaps a per franchise basis... and you know there aren't doing to be any further reductions on the Game Pass subscription price, at least until the arrival of Helix, if the rumours of MS ditching a subscription being required to play online are true.
I didn't bother with this when XBox prompted me to do it, and I'm not going to do it on Playstation either... Both accounts are coming up on 20 years old so it's pretty silly that they'd need verification anyway.
Similar to @Dogbreath, I'm a 47 year old gamer so trying to force me to verify that I'm over 18 to use "chat features" feels somewhat comical to me, especially when it's under the guise of "to protect the children". Again, as @Dogbreath said, all it does is annoy or phase some of the older users, while the younger ones just find workarounds (iirc the XBox verification process was already broken by people uploading images of the characters from Death Stranding 😂 ).
@Brigurugi SOL is the name of our sun, as well as an abbreviation for solar system... But I'm 100% with you, "s**t outta luck" is exactly where my mind goes every time I read the title too 😂
It's probably another infamous Creation Engine memory leak.
At least this is a mainline Bethesda release though so they're more likely to getting around to fix it at some point, unlike the Oblivion Remaster which sadly has just been left to rot.
Fantastic news! It was definitely surprising to see Cyberpunk 2077 added to the list of games getting a PSSR 2 upgrade seeing as CDPR had stressed they had no plans for a Pro upgrade... and pleasantly surprising to see what's being upgraded here! This could have been a simple case of higher native resolution, but the added RT effects should make a huge difference, especially as the console versions of Cyberpunk only had RT shadows (IRRC) until now.
I'll have to tear myself away from Crimson Desert for a bit to return to my game of Cyberpunk and try this out 😎
Lords of the Fallen is a fantastic game, especially post version 2.0... If you played it in the early days and dropped it, or have yet to play it, I highly recommend giving it a go (and as part of PS Plus, what do you have to lose other than a couple of hours of your time?).
The developers have listened to feedback and made huge changes to make the game more enjoyable, and completely viable in co op from start to finish.
Lords of the Fallen is fantastic now, well worth playing if you're a fan of Souls Like games. The co-op updates for the game have made it a ton of fun to play through with a friend too.
Tomb Raider collection has three classic games that helped define an era.
Never played SAO so couldn't comment, but they seem to be well enough received.
Some people will complain, they always do, but it seems like a pretty solid line up.
This article is somewhat misleading, it wasn't the campaign or not lack of open world that were the issues with Drive Club... It was promised to have a huge Clubs focus with you teaming up with friends to score points to compete against other clubs of real players, which was all completely axed for the final release (although at the time it was still listed as "coming soon, it never saw the light of day). This was the games main USP. Plus the game was supposed to be a Playstation Plus title (I can't remember if it started out that way or they switched track due to the delays), but it ended up with a "PS Plus demo edition" released sometime after launch. Those were the main stumbling blocks that tripped the game out of the gates.
It's a shame things ended the way they did though. Drive Club was a solid racer and was only getting better and better with every update. Unfortunately it meant the end of the studio as we knew it, and also killed the chance for any further entries in the MotorStorm series.
@ShogunRok honestly tho, I think if you're going in forewarned you'll probably have a much better time playing the game. Like you say, keep your expectations in check and just go with it, enjoy the jank, and laugh at/question some of the design choices.
Without the hype of the unknown, and being both a brand new Bethesda game and brand new IP behind it for this launch it may find a somewhat warmer reception on Playstation.
This is what I don't get... Surely VR doing well is great for both gamers and the industry as a whole?! I can't understand why the media is so determined to make it fail.
Although I suppose this is the same media that obsesses over Concord, Highguard and Marathon... Unfortunately click bait and negative articles will almost always generate more clicks and buzz.
I mean, it's not a terrible game, but it's not a great game either. As a fellow Bethesda game fan, I'd say it's easily their worst (or perhaps I should say "least good") game in their "modern gaming" era, and I'm including Morrowind in that because it laid the foundation for the template they've used ever since.
I enjoyed the ship building aspect in Starfield, and the combat is a big step up from Bethesda's usual output thanks to iD's involvement, but literally everything else both looks and feels super dated. And I mean that if this had been an XBox One/PS4 title it would have still felt dated, that kind of dated.
The usual Bethesda jank is on full display here, and I mean that very literally as there are long standing issues with the Creation Engine that Bethesda just haven't fixed, or perhaps have zero intention of addressing.
Ultimately, while it may seem appealing to scratch a certain Sci Fi RPG itch, simply put, it's neither as good or as engaging as any of Bethesda's other modern gaming era titles. You'll be more likely to find yourself wanting to go replay Skyrim or Fallout again than finish your Starfield play through... although if you do make it to the end, you get to "enjoy" the absolute cop out conclusion.
It's sad to see another studio forced to downsize, and especially so that it's a VR studio...and a talented one at that.
I don't get why you guys are always so negative about the PSVR 2 (and VR in general) 🤷🏻♂️ I don't think I've ever seen a positive post about VR on Push Square. Even when you guys do post something remotely VR news related, there's usually an undermining jab or comment about how PSVR 2 is dead or has failed.
There's always been a lot of negativity around VR, usually from those who only see it as a gimmick (which in turn is usually those who haven't actually tried it/don't want to try it), and more so towards PSVR 2 from the Quest centric media sites like Android Central...but seriously, you've done a good job of giving them a run for their money for posting PSVR 2 negativity.
The sad irony here is that VR has been the biggest innovation to gaming for decades, but the majority of the gaming media seemed intent on assassinating it as a platform right out of the gates.
@themightyant if you can find one, the Aim Controller is well worth picking up along with FarPoint, Firewall Zero Hour (there's still an active player base and it uses P2P hosting so no worry of it ever being shut down, unlike Ultra), Doom VFR and Borderlands 2 VR. It's a literal game changer
Also, check out WipEout Omega Collection in VR, it's phenomenal! It's also available free if you already own the flat version.
There are so many great PSVR 1 games so you should find plenty to keep you busy, I could list of a ton of games worth checking out. All I'll say is don't sleep on puzzle games like Statik, Gnog and I Expect you to Die, they're so good!
@Dogbreath it's definitely an odd case for this game. I know that people have had issues with 4K 60 FPS displays before the latest update introduced the 120hz option, and depending on your display you may need V Sync enabled if you don't have a form of freesync.
Much like PC performance, it seems players are getting a bit of a mixed experience depending on their gaming set up, and the combination of options they select.
I've had a play around with the settings in game and found a combination that works for me and my set up. The game looks fantastic and feels pretty stable (I think I've had a couple of stutters, but nothing that made me go "eww"). Hopefully it may help others too...
I'm running a PS5 Pro with a 4K 120Hz TV with freesync.
In game settings:
Balanced mode.
4K Output on.
HDR on.
V Sync on (you get uncapped frame rate with it off, but I found it to be a more stable image/less ghosting with it on).
120hz on.
Blur effect (motion blur) 0.
Depth of field off.
Edited to update settings after latest patch. Added 4K output setting, changed V Sync from off to on for improved image quality.
@ShogunRok just an FYI, the artifacting with the lighting & textures isn't caused by PSSR, it's (weirdly) just the in game lighting system. If you're on the Pro, you can switch to Quality mode which is native 4K, no PSSR with Ultra RT, and you'll still see the same issue... Or look at PC footage and you'll see the same thing happening there too.
I only mention this as I was thinking the same thing as you. Turns out the upscaler is working just fine, it's the soruce that's being weird (for want of a better term!).
Otherwise, I agree with the points you make. It's a game that seems as vast as it is vague. I know it almost feels cliché to say, but once you hit a point 10+ hours in things start to click and just...wow. I went from being unsure to really feeling like this is going to be the game I'm playing for the foreseeable future. I just can't put it down It absolutely needs some QoL stuff added though. The sheer amount of button combinations and in game systems are 🤯 I'm sure some of the systems are just ideas that were left in and never used outside of the introductory quest too (sweeping the chimney for example!).
Man, not even an attempt at allowing Firewall Ultra to go out in a "blaze of glory"... Sony should have made it free to play (PS Plus) from now til switch off.
Ideally they would have had someone patch the game to run in P2P like Firewall Zero Hour still does to this day, but I guess it's kinda difficult when there's no more studio
It's a shame as it was a genuinely good/decent game, caught up in the hype, delivering reworks of the first titles maps, and missing full VR control implementation (interactions with doors etc)... Sadly the closure of First Contract Entertainment with no clear sign of support from Sony picking up the reigns made this incredibly hard to recommend to friends to purchase... And did the game ever even go on sale?! I think maybe once?! Madness.
"Screamer uses both analog sticks in a similar way to Inertial Drift. The left stick steers you as normal, while the right stick is dedicated to drifting."
So I'm guessing you can't play with a steering wheel then? Or can you? You really should be adding this information into reviews for racing titles please. It's kinda essential information.
CGI Labs had a load of titles in the upcoming games section, like, a LOAD, so I'm not surprised they've been axed.
I had noticed that the upcoming games had started to get more and more bloated with the Ai & shovelware slop again. I guess someone at Sony noticed too!
It's not selling because it released somewhat broken, incomplete, with some questionable mechanics, and in need of work, which fans were awaiting fixes for...
It's not being played so much because there were a smaller set of gamers who stuck with the game while the issues were being fixed over time.
New people aren't buying in because after FCE shuttered, Sony stepped in and said they would continue or provide support, and then went radio silent... So between FCE going out of business until now, we've had absolutely no information or road map to go on as to what was gonna happen to Firewall. Many of us suspected they'll just pull the plug at some point with little announcement, which is what we're seeing here.
I really think that when Sony were "maintaining" the game, it should have been added to PS Plus Extra so lots more people could have got in on the action! It seems like it would have been a no brainer to me anyway, especially as they'd potentially spend money in the game on packs and items anyway.
It also royally sucks that with First Contact Entertainment now gone, we won't see them add P2P hosting so they game can remain playable (as they have on Firewall 1), unfortunately we're just left with the server side hosting, meaning as soon as those servers are off, this game becomes dead 😓
Starfield? Ehhh, I mean it's ok. It's not a bad game by any means, it's just that if you've played any of Bethesda's other games you're going to feel like you've been there, seen it, done that, got the t shirt etc all before, but better in Skyrim & Fallout. It all just feels kinda dated, which is a shame considering this was their first new IP in over 20 years. The ship building aspect is very cool though!
Definitely not. It's both anti consumer and undermines game preservation.
And a big no to delaying physical releases until after the digital release too. That's a sure fire way to speed up the process of erasing physical releases altogether.
I don't see Sony releasing the PS6 and the handheld in the same year.
Most of the people who would be interested in the handheld are going to be from the more invested Playstation gamers, so releasing both in a similar launch window would mean people would have to choose one or the other, which would obviously directly affect sales.
Sony already made it clear they wanted to avoid this very thing happening when they launched the PS5 and PSVR 2 (wanting to help interested gamers to avoid having a huge outlay all in one go).
I think a more realistic approach here would be that the handheld releases in say 2027, being able to play PS4 and PS5 games, and the PS6 releases the following year.
Speaking as someone who owns every Playstation console from launch, including the PSP (Japanese import at launch) & Vita, and PSVR 1 & 2, I can't honestly say that I'm on board for either a new Playstation console right now, or the handheld, unless it can offer something very special... And I'm exactly the sort of gaming enthusiast these things are marketed at 🤷🏻♂️
@OldGamer999 the global PSSR 2 update will be part of a firmware update, due sometime this month. It will add a toggle in the settings menu that will automatically change games that use PSSR to use some of the features of PSSR 2.
It's expected that the games that get full PSSR 2 upgrades will see the biggest improvements, while those that use the auto mode will be enhanced, but we don't yet know to what degree that will be.
That's sad to see that their games aren't making enough sales, despite pretty much all of them being praised by critics.
I can't speak for everyone else, but personally I'm just not that interested in their output. The Yakuza games are fun, but like any RPG require a lot of commitment & time to play. Persona is a quality series, but again, demands lots of time to play.
Maybe they're just not prioritising the right projects? I know some of these are in the works, but personally I'd be day one buying a sequel/remake/remaster of Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi and Outrun, and why not port over the House of the Dead series with VR (or at least 3D in a VR headset) compatibility to give them something fresh? Sure, there are the recent remakes for HotD 1 & 2, but they weren't exactly great and could be massively improved with some extra time and care... Or just release a HotD remastered collection. Plus I suspect a current gen reworking of House of the Dead Overkill would go down a treat!
My point is, with all of Sega's library to choose from, the new games and sequels they're putting out aren't really games that do anything for me for the most part 🤷🏻♂️
I'd also add in the rise in game prices as a factor too. I know that I'm more likely to take a punt on a game if it's cheap enough, but paying £50+ on a whim just isn't the one.

Re: Sony: PS Plus Gets 'Four to Six' Day One Games Per Year - And the Focus Is on Indies
Re: Sony: PS Plus Gets 'Four to Six' Day One Games Per Year - And the Focus Is on Indies
@darylb24 100%...there's zero reason to lock cloud saves behind a subscription other than greed.
Edit to add: clarified what I meant in a post below.
Re: 'PS5 Is Just a Plastic Box if It Doesn't Have Content': Sony Explains Its 'Third-Party Focused' Ecosystem
Re: 'PS5 Is Just a Plastic Box if It Doesn't Have Content': Sony Explains Its 'Third-Party Focused' Ecosystem
Re: This New PS5 Controller May Solve DualSense's Stick Drift Issues, But It Comes with a $220 Cost
@Quintumply psst the Scuf uses TMR sticks, not Hall Effect.
They're different technologies, TMR being the newest and better of the two. Both are far superior to standard sticks though.

Re: Directive 8020 (PS5) - Dull Sci-Fi Thriller Is a Supermassive Letdown
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 632
Crimson Desert & NTE for me, although I've also been enjoying dipping in and out of Diablo 4 again recently.
Re: Forza Horizon 6's Launch Trailer Doesn't Make the Wait for PS5 Release Any Easier
Re: Poor Start for PS5 Exclusive Saros as First Sales Data Emerges
I see several major factors playing into the sales of Saros;
Re: Lords of the Fallen 2's Idea of Female Armour Is Downright Embarrassing
As per their website: "Lords of the Fallen is a dark fantasy action-RPG..."
So yeah, the images check out for that description. The armour sets and characters don't have to be based in realism, because, you know "dark fantasy".
Stop getting your knickers in a twist Push Square.
Re: 'It Was a Positive': Resident Evil Requiem Dev Is Pleased by Heated Reaction to DLSS 5 Grace
Re: 'It Was a Positive': Resident Evil Requiem Dev Is Pleased by Heated Reaction to DLSS 5 Grace
Re: Sony's Superhero PS5, PC Fighter Entering the 'Final Stages' of Development
I enjoyed what I played in the Beta. It may sound cliché, but this does exactly what it set out to do in the best way possible (ArcSys fighting game mechanics with Japanese spins Marvel character designs).
As long as they don't go mad with the dlc characters and expansions (looking at you Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Dead or Alive!) I can see this being a roaring success.
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for May 2026?
Wuchang & Nine Sols for me, so I'm not complaining.
Re: Wolverine PS5 Updates Still Coming in the Next Few Weeks
The fatigue is real.
Re: Xbox Is Flip-Flopping on PS5 Again, and It's Truly Getting Tiring
I suspect most / select games will still get a PS5 release, likely with a timed XBox & PC exclusivity period.
Re: PS5 Live Service Fairgames Reportedly Roasted in Recent Pre-Alpha
@get2sammyb thats gotta be it, right?
I can't help but feel that it's just another unfortunate example of Sony demonstrating how out of touch they are with their player base... It's not like there hasn't been public opinion (positive and negative) on the various projects in their pipeline, and the decisions they've made, but for some reason Sony seem content in diving head first into doing these things that no one really wants.
sigh anyway, at least Saros looks good.
Re: PS5 Live Service Fairgames Reportedly Roasted in Recent Pre-Alpha
I'm genuinely surprised that Fairgames is still in development. The tepid player response to the reveal should have been enough to convince Sony that this wasn't one to keep throwing money into, and doing so is even more bewildering when you consider that other projects like the Twisted Metal game, which some people were actually excited for, were cancelled 🤷🏻♂️
Re: Xbox Game Pass vs PS Plus - Was Sony Right All Along?
Re: Xbox Game Pass vs PS Plus: Was Sony Right All Along?
Re: 'I Didn't Listen to Him': Ex PlayStation Boss Shu Yoshida on Why Jim Ryan 'Fired' Him
@omadeli and a brand new "Riiiiiiiiiiiiidge Racerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!" ❤️😂
Re: PS Plus Value Called into Question as Xbox Slashes Game Pass Price
Re: PS5 Age Verification Coming to UK and Ireland, Needed for Messages and Voice Chat

Re: Starfield Has a Serious Crashing Issue on PS5, PS5 Pro
It's probably another infamous Creation Engine memory leak.
At least this is a mainline Bethesda release though so they're more likely to getting around to fix it at some point, unlike the Oblivion Remaster which sadly has just been left to rot.
Re: 'The Result Is Incredible': Cyberpunk 2077's Big PS5 Pro Update Arrives Tomorrow
I'll have to tear myself away from Crimson Desert for a bit to return to my game of Cyberpunk and try this out 😎
Re: Ahead of Arrival on PS Plus, Lords of the Fallen Gets a Major PS5 Update
Lords of the Fallen is a fantastic game, especially post version 2.0... If you played it in the early days and dropped it, or have yet to play it, I highly recommend giving it a go (and as part of PS Plus, what do you have to lose other than a couple of hours of your time?).
The developers have listened to feedback and made huge changes to make the game more enjoyable, and completely viable in co op from start to finish.
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for April 2026?
Lords of the Fallen is fantastic now, well worth playing if you're a fan of Souls Like games. The co-op updates for the game have made it a ton of fun to play through with a friend too.
Tomb Raider collection has three classic games that helped define an era.
Never played SAO so couldn't comment, but they seem to be well enough received.
Some people will complain, they always do, but it seems like a pretty solid line up.
Re: Everyone's Talking About DriveClub Again, PS4's Underappreciated Racer
Re: Opinion: Does Starfield Suck? People Keep Telling Me to Skip Its PS5 Release
Re: As PSVR2 Dies a Slow Death, One of Its Best Devs Confirms Mass Layoffs
@Snowrunner "Why do they not get behind it?"
Re: Opinion: Does Starfield Suck? People Keep Telling Me to Skip Its PS5 Release
@ShogunRok "is it really that bad?"
Re: As PSVR2 Dies a Slow Death, One of Its Best Devs Confirms Mass Layoffs
Re: As PSVR2 Dies a Slow Death, One of Its Best Devs Confirms Mass Layoffs
Re: Round Up: 'Already a GOTY Contender': 5 Things We Learned from Saros PS5 Previews
The previews for Crimson Desert had it pegged as a Game of the Year contender too, so 🤷🏻♂️
Re: Crimson Desert (PS5) - A Generational Open World Buried in Early Access Cruft
Re: Crimson Desert (PS5) - A Generational Open World Buried in Early Access Cruft
I just can't put it down
It absolutely needs some QoL stuff added though. The sheer amount of button combinations and in game systems are 🤯
I'm sure some of the systems are just ideas that were left in and never used outside of the introductory quest too (sweeping the chimney for example!).
Re: These 12 Major PS5, PS4 Games Will Be Delisted in March and April
Madness.
Re: Sony's PSN Rebrand Is Well Underway, and the Clues Have Been There All Along
Everyone is still going to call it PSN.
Re: Screamer (PS5) - Finally, a Racing Game Doing Something Interesting
"Screamer uses both analog sticks in a similar way to Inertial Drift. The left stick steers you as normal, while the right stick is dedicated to drifting."
So I'm guessing you can't play with a steering wheel then? Or can you? You really should be adding this information into reviews for racing titles please. It's kinda essential information.
Re: 'We'll Still Release on Switch, Xbox, and Steam': Dev Responds to Delisting as Sony Axes 1,000s More PS5, PS4 Games from PS Store
CGI Labs had a load of titles in the upcoming games section, like, a LOAD, so I'm not surprised they've been axed.
I had noticed that the upcoming games had started to get more and more bloated with the Ai & shovelware slop again. I guess someone at Sony noticed too!
Re: PSVR2 Takes Another Hit as Sony Nukes Exclusive Shooter Firewall Ultra
Re: Microsoft Is Putting 3 Xbox Games on PS5 in Just a Few Weeks
South of Midnight is well worth your time.
Re: Crimson Desert's Mandatory PS5 Update Sparks Debate About Games Which Break Street Date
Definitely not. It's both anti consumer and undermines game preservation.
And a big no to delaying physical releases until after the digital release too. That's a sure fire way to speed up the process of erasing physical releases altogether.
Everything about this is a terrible idea.
Re: PS6's Rumoured Portable Could Be in Your Hands as Early as Next Year
I don't see Sony releasing the PS6 and the handheld in the same year.
And I'm exactly the sort of gaming enthusiast these things are marketed at 🤷🏻♂️
Re: Experience Two of PS5's Best Games with a 'New Level of Visual Fidelity' on PS5 Pro
Re: SEGA's PS5 Games Get Good Reviews, So Why Aren't You Buying Them?
