Did you miss the memo? There has been a worldwide pandemic for the last 2 years. Meaning most people are working from home. Which, bizarrely enough, has delayed production for many things, including (shock, horror) game development. Without this pandemic GT7 and Horizon FW would have been this holidays blockbusters.

We should be congratulating them on only missing their original schedule by a couple of months.

@Secryt the primary reason for the light bar was for when they released PSVR so the controllers could be tracked👍🏻 all other uses were a bonus (like when you're getting chased by the police In GTA)

And I pretty much guarantee that because PSVR2 will have inside out tracking, is why the dualsense has the two small light bars either side of the track pad. so that the headset can look down and see & track the controller. Heard it here first.....if im correct that is 🤣

@soldier69234 what you're not getting is those 20 games are 100% free, to keep forever when you buy a PS5 .... 20 of some of the best PS4 games for zero cost, to keep forever just for purchasing the new console. I think they have excelled themselves. And IMO PS now has way more to offer than game pass.

@musicologist83 subscribe to PS now then, there are 3 times the amount of games than on gamepass and you can download ps2 and ps4 games (can only stream ps3, because CELL) It's a better value proposition than game pass as it is!

@Nepp67 because the PS5 has an incredibly fast solid state hard drive which is around 100 times quicker than the PS4s hard disc drive

@KayOL77 my brother has been hostile to me since I sold my 360 (already had a PS3) because I only played Forza and left 4 dead and didn'tthinknit was worth it. Everything else i played on playstation. I then didn't want an xbox one because of the whole TVTVTV and the price of the thing and now, he's just screaming "game pass" at me. I trialled it for 3 months on my PC and there is a hell of a lot of filler on there and PSNow has a wider choice, and games can be downloaded now too, so for me, it's a better value proposition... he's become really toxic towards me and Sony.... there really are hard-core xbots out there. He always goes on about how it's all about the games, yet has refused to get a PSVR, even though he calls himself a hard-core console gamer. He said he's going to wait for Microsoft to release VR when the technology improves..... surely, as a huge company, you innovate for yourself right? ..... xbots will be xbots

@Carl-G any new items of hardware are researched and developed by Sony's hardware department and will have absolutely no impact on game or other software releases

3.4 million in 4 weeks. Times that by the 3 months of the first quarter is 10.2 million.... plus the original 3.4 million is £13.6 million. Which doesn't include the 3 weeks I've not accounted for in December. So they are well over target to hit that goal

Reminds me of when Rockstar put GTA5 on the xbox 360..... what a mess that was! Especially when compared to the PS3

@Vacuumator The feedback when pressing the home button is the adaptive triggers shutting off. I noticed the sound, then did it again, then the third time I half held down one of the triggers and the noise also makes the triggers go back to being "normal"

@carlos82 this is the setup I now have. Ps5 and fat PS3 with backwards compatibility.. sonwe have all 5 gens ready to play... I've just had an ebay splurge on physical stuff too

It does support 7.1 .... it sounds awesome on my setup. They have implemented a custom 3D audio which will also allow sound to be perceived as if its coming from above or below you aswell as surround, even with just stereo headphones. If you are into your audio like I am, then you will not be disappointed 👍🏻

PsVR was launched 4 years ago. And you need to do some research. There are a LOT of really good games for it.

@nessisonett The flap was on the early 60gb ones which hid the multiple memory card slots. This one was also the backwards compatible PS3 and was identifiable by the chrome strip being a high gloss mirror finish rather than flat and matte

@SaltlakeCity it was a bleeding edge console game back then, effectively bring the arcade into the home.... i dont feel I was ripped off, I played that game for years 😊

Oh absolutely, they were expensive to produce.... bit games are today, hundreds of people working for years..... just saying that prices haven't really changed in almost 30 years

Everyone's going mad over the price increase.... but I paid £60 in the UK for Street Fighter 2 turbo on the SNES in the early 90s.... cause it was the first 64mb cartridge! (All other SNES cartridges were 32mb)

It's 825gb because that lines up with the RAM, CPU AND GPU in terms of thread count. Mark Cerny covered this in the deep dive earlier in the year. Its why the PS5 speeds are twice that of the XSX

I bought my Mitsubishi GTO twin turbo 10 years ago because I fell in love whilst doing exactly this!!

The price of games has never phased me since I bought Street Fighter 2 turbo on the SNES when it launched.... this was early 90s and I paid £60 way back then!!

@joey302 Sony have said that 99% of PS4 games are backwards compatible. This is a list of games that are free on PS5 to download day one, if you have PS Plus.

I still have my OG 60gb PS3. So with the PS5 and PS3 under the TV, I'll be able to play all the generations and only take up to 2 hdmi ports. It really is a non issue. If PS3 backwards compatibility bothers you THAT much, then there are plenty of b/c PS3s on ebay.

Or do you feel that playing a game as a female will somehow convert you into member of the community that you clearly have issues with.... although, it does seem that you've already been converted into a member... a large throbbing one

Have none of you seen the main official PS5 page? There's a black controller rotating that takes up most of the screen.... clearly and obviously, they are also releasing an all black one 👍🏻👍🏻

I've been watching 4k on my ps4 for months!! YouTube and hdmi 1.4 ... my tv switches resolution and confirms it.... dunno what all the fuss is about!
