Re: Video: Why Sony Will Never Make the PS Vita 2

BadPlayerOne

It’s not possible for Sony to have a PS Vita 2 they don't have the resources to develop games native for a handheld console. They wouldn't be able to support 2 different consoles. The same for third party developers. They would also have to divide their resources to support a Sony handheld. For Nintendo it works since they have a hybrid console. A hybrid console would not be feasible for Sony and a setback in console performance.

Re: Poll: Are You Sold on PlayStation Portal?

BadPlayerOne

People on here have no idea how much recourses Sony would need to support a real handheld. They would need teams to develop for the PS5 as well as teams developing for a handheld. Thats not doable. Nintendo situation is different they have a handheld which you can also connect to a external screen that is something completely different. If Nintendo would have a full scale console next to their handheld they would have equally problems supporting two system at the same time. This is not a handheld but an accessory like the dual edge controller. An additional way to play PS5 games away from your screen. Maybe you should all wake up out of your dreamworld. Its hilarious how unrealistic most gamers expectations are.

@LightningLeader that is different. Sony hasn’t paid money for the developers to conceal games are coming out on other platforms. That’s Microsoft practice. They are doing the same with No man’s sky now on the website the new expedition is only mentioned to be released on PC, Mac and Xbox. No mentioning of Nintendo or PlayStation. There is a difference between not mentioning other platforms and paying developers to conceal that the game will be released on other platforms for several days.

@Jill_Sandwich Playstation proved again and again they are making great games and they made their money with creativity and dedication to gaming just like Nintendo did. Xbox hasn't produced any triple A in the last decade. They earned their money not with gaming. Their way of doing business in the gaming industry is we don't have the creativity and means to produce good games so we throw around money we haven't earned in the industry and buy all the publishers they get their hands on. And dominate the market with money and not creativity. I wouldn't have such a hard judgement if they at least produced a few great triple A games in the past. But nothing just promises. Microsoft should stop wasting their attention on the acquisition and concentrate their effort on producing games. Like Indiana Jones, Fable and Hellblade II. I have been waiting for these games way to long just like most gamers. Give me a reason to invest in a new xbox.

Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Finale - A Highlight Reel of Your Favourite Story

BadPlayerOne

This is not a John Wick TV show were the action is the story. People saying this was rushed are the ones that want Joel and Ellie to act like big Rambo and little Rambo endlessly killing infected and other people. Was the story of Joel and Ellie told? Yes and then some. You don't always have to see the action and the hardship to know it. I don't think long searches through buildings and more killing would have added anything to the story. I am not saying it was perfect, but it was for sure a great run and an excellent first season. I think the second season will be zooming in on the years gone by until the beginning of the second game. The ones we only saw in short flashbacks. So still lot of Joel and Ellie. I hope!

@zupertramp I am happy I live in Europe we don’t give our children guns or any other kind of weapons. We have the police to protect us. Still as you can see in the episode Ellie could barely carry the gun. Like Joel stated in the beginning of that Episode with Bill and Frank the town was located very remotely and that FEDRA would probably leave them alone since they were concentrating inside the QZ’s. He had to be careful because of raiders and they showed that from time to time those attacked the town. Being at a very remote place somewhere in the wild protected them and knowing that probably 99% of humanity was dead the chance of big raiding parties was limited. And I am sure Bill’s ingenuity was able to kill most of those who tried with his traps.

And by the way not sure what people thought about David in the game, but his character was meant to depict a narcissistic pedophile. There was no need for Ellie to impress him. Her age was enough for him and everything he said about her was not because he believed anything he was saying but to convince her to let this creep into her pants. I really don’t hope people really thought what David was saying about Ellie was his honest opinion about her. That would be really messed up and creepy.

@Snackfood Exactly and that has been the problem of game adaptations in the past. Director’s listening to gamer’s and I am happy this time they don’t. Everyone around me that isn’t a gamer absolutely loves this show. I played the game countless times because for me the game will be always the best game I ever played and thankfully I can make the distinction between a game and a TV show. I love this show.

Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Episode 8 - Streamlining Hollows Out Iconic Moments

@roe your opinion is the reason movie or TV show adaptation fail. You think what you play is real and expect to see it in the show but everyone else just thinks what the hell those unrealistic scenes of a 14 year old girl acting like Rambo next to a heavily injured Superman. That’s just stupid. And the movie or Tv Show gets ripped to pieces by critics. It’s a live action show not a fantasy game of almost immortal human beings that take some med packs to heal and fight another day.

Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Episode 8 - Streamlining Hollows Out Iconic Moments

BadPlayerOne

I said it already with my comment on the video. This is not a game or fantasy. Ellie can barely hold the rifle and is 14 years old. What 14 year old girl or boy for that matter can take down dozens of infected and grown up men. I already thought Joel taking down those 3 men as unrealistic. Two shots of penicillin is not going to cure that infection in a couple of hours. Every doctor will tell you he would need weeks of recovery. So expecting a heavily wounded man and a 14 year old girl to take down dozens of people and infected is just ridiculous. Maybe you should pinch yourself a few times to remind you this is suppose to be a realistic take on a game and not a fantasy. And the game is called The Last of Us and not The Last of the Superheroes.

Re: Poll: Did You Love The Last of Us - Episode 5?

BadPlayerOne

I mean i can get it if you just dont like the TV show for some reason. But to say like episode 3 was bad. I guess some people didn’t understand that the most important part of that episode was the letter from Bill to Joel. We needed to understand the story of Bill to appreciate the impact the letter would have on Joel’s mindset to protect Ellie. Without the story of Bill and Frank the letter would have been shallow at best. Tess death was necessary for Joel and Ellie to bound. With Tess alive it would have never happened. Her death and the promise he made to Tess was the first step to help Joel find his purpose. Men like us are here for a reason. The letter from Bill was the second push. The third push was Henry and his unconditional love for Sam and his willingness to do whatever it takes to protect his brother. Even if it meant to do bad things. All these events are breaking through Joel’s defense’s. It’s perfect. I guess some just need mindless action and shallow stories to be happy. Any depth in storytelling is to much for their brains.

Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Episode 2 - Establishing a New Lore

BadPlayerOne

I love the gross kissing scene. Tess was already succumbing to the fungus and there was already an battle raging inside her. That’s why she had trouble to ignite the lighter a part of her was already resisting the attempt to kill herself and the infected. The runners sensed it and that’s why they ran all passed her instead of attacking her and that why one of them kissed her. With the last of her willpower she ignited the lighter. What a tensed moment.

Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Episode 1 - Faithful Retelling Deviates in the Right Ways

BadPlayerOne

I played the game several times. It’s my all time favorite game and I was very skeptical about Bella Ramsay playing Ellie and I am not sure what you saw, but I think she did a perfect job on playing Ellie. All characters with all their changes are well played. I am team Bella now. People should stop expecting perfect visual copies of the game characters. If the character of Ellie is only being reduced to her physical appearance I wonder if people even understood the game.

Re: The Last of Us: Part I (PS5) - A Better, More Beautiful Remake of a Modern Classic

BadPlayerOne

I will never buy a PS5. I refuse to pay the extra money only so that Sony can maintain the lower original price in the US. The only market Sony is interested in. I was more then ready to buy this game and the PS5. I am going to skip this generation and hope with the next generation Sony will again respect customers from other regions. And hopefully there will be a new remake or remaster of this game at the time.

Re: New PS5 Model Reportedly Lighter Than Ever

BadPlayerOne

What do I care about a lighter version? If I can’t even buy it in Europe. PlayStation only cares about the US. The rest must find some scraps to get and now that they increased the price everywhere else except you guessed it the US. They can go and f… themselves. I will play my PS4 until it breaks down. I am surely not paying €50 extra only because I live in Europe. A market they obviously don’t care about. As if the US doesn’t have inflation.
