@somnambulance Nintendo fan here. I don’t get the love DKB is getting. I rage quit from the skewonky controls in the snow/zebra level and hadn’t turned it back on since. Is it just me? Maybe. I just beat Silksong so I know how to figure out control schemes and difficult games. I went into DKB excited and then it just fizzled until I just kept dying because I kept falling through the ice even though the zebra was supposed to stay on top of it. I don’t know. To each their own, I suppose.

E33 is my 2025 GOTY. Silksong a close second.

@Cerny the specs between the PS5 and new steam machine aren’t really 1:1. The CPU in the steam machine will blow the PS5 out of the park. The GPU on the other hand… well, the PS5 has 36 RDNA 2-ish compute units compared to 28 RDNA 3 in the steam machine. Yeah, the GPU is lack luster, as is the amount of VRAM. That said, I think valve probably got a good deal for the silicon from AMD and they’re taking a gamble. I think it’s a good thing. Competition is only good for the consumer.

This makes no sense, and probably saves Sony a dollar or two. What a baffling, anti consumer thing to do.

Yeah, something tells me I’m going to be pretending this movie doesn’t exist. Just like the CDi games…

Cool story, Sony. Except. I’ve been playing Breath of the Wild in 1440p/60 and it’s breathtakingly amazing. I have my ps5 pro and I’ll play my non PlayStation titles there (because lol at first party’s output lately). And I’ll play my first part Nintendo, indies, and RPGs on my switch 2.

Dear borderlands boss: every time Borderlands 3 is on sale for 80% off, which happens quite often, I think to myself… maybe. Eh. But I’d be happier with the $12.

@Rich33 don’t feel sorry for us. 1/3 voted for Kamala Harris, 1/3 for the Cheeto con man, and 1/3 didn’t vote. I don’t know how to make Americans wake up, pay attention, and actually care about whats going on but. A depression or Great Recession would work.

I was under the impression that 1440p > 4k checkerboard. But I neither know nor care. 1080p is enough for my old eyes. Give me frames all day every day.

@Yegor I would consider myself a hardcore Nintendo fan. I still don’t defend this pricing. This is Nintendo’s predatory greed at its finest. Sony and Nintendo really are racing to the bottom lately aren’t they.

Immortals at that price is a steal. I got it close to launch and liked it quite a bit. Runs well on PS5 too.

Bloodborne lazy 60 FPS port. $69.99, no upgrade for current owners.

Back in 2011, PSN service was free, since I didn’t pay for Plus. I shrugged and said to myself, “it’ll be back when it’s back.”

Now in 2025, PSN is no longer free - and quite expensive for something you get for free if you game on PC.

So yes, to all those saying to go outside, do something else, etc. This is absolutely maddening and unacceptable.

@Fyz306903 correct. US pricing doesn’t include sales tax. In the Pacific Northwest, where I live, it ranges from 0% in Oregon state to 10.35% where I am in Seattle. Not sure how much UK VAT is. But there’s also other things in play, besides just sales tax.

@LifeGirl this is standard ubi play at this time. But no worries! Give it like six months, and the ultimate super dee duper deluxe edition will be on sale in the PlayStation store for $20. This is Ubisoft, you know.

I have no current plans to be interested in the mess that is this game.

@darylb24 the series S/X and PS5 CPUs are actually pretty great, and were top class for their time, unlike the PS4/XBO which were considered slogs when they were brand new.

@Loamy first party pro patches have rocked. As have some third party (FF7R). Look at the developers who have the crappy patches. They’re the one to blame. Not Sony.

If this could somehow, magically, make Bloodborne run at 60 FPS, that alone might justify the $700 price point.
