Elden Ring will be ported to Nintendo Switch 2 in the form of a Tarnished Edition, but the additional content that version brings will also make its way to PS5 and PS4.
The Tarnished Edition bundles together the base game along with last year's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Then, it throws "new armor, weapons and customization features for Torrent’s appearance" on top. That additional content will come to existing platforms, presumably at the same time.
Some of the bonus armour sets and appearance changes for Torrent can be seen in the trailer above, which shows your horse in white and armour sets inspired by past characters from previous FromSoftware games.

with PS5 Pro support too?
@Ash_uk1 from fromsoft? lol. I mean. I hope so.
Smells like Bethesda. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Elden Ring marked the start of Fromsofts decline. They’re still very strong but man, this doesn’t look good.
PS4 is getting the dlc and the Tarnished Edition? Might explain why Switch 2 is getting it. Or vice versa.
I was happy this was in the Direct for Nintendo only gamers but the graphics looked kinda meh, even for Switch 2. Daemon X Daemon I thought looked better, Metroid Prime 4 much better, but it was made for it. Probably looks better on the Switch 2 screen handheld than my big TV.
@rjejr Yeah probably. I don't own Elden Ring yet, waiting for the Tarnished Edition to be $30 New or cheaper in a few years.
I'm a little annoyed about this but a little relieved. I spent several months 100%ing this game (collect all items, beat all bosses, see all endings) and just finished a few days ago. I'm a little annoyed because now there are more things to collect but relieved because I don't see anywhere about this being available in the current version as DLC and I'm not buying a new edition just for this.
