Each time developer Housemarque puts out a brief little gameplay snippet of Saros, it has us more eager to hop into the roguelite third-person shooter.
The studio has just done it again, and this time, the video focuses on a specific environment that has an eerie atmosphere:
Based on the video's title, it seems this is some sort of underground facility, with unknown alien machinery with a vast open space at its centre.
With the bat-like creatures flying around, it's like a mechanical, metallic cave, and that ambient noise is the cherry on top. We can't wait to see what this area has in store.
A lot of very positive previews came out about Saros recently, revealing a lot more information about how it plays and the ways in which it's similar (and very different) to Returnal.
For example, in addition to there being a lot more permanent upgrades, Saros is all about making things more approachable; runs are generally shorter than the studio's previous game, and it's much easier to get back to where you left off rather than starting from square one every time.
