We don’t know what we expected from Street Fighter 6’s incarnation of Ingrid, but we didn’t have Alice in Wonderland references on our bingo cards.
In this debut World Tour trailer for the Capcom Fighting Evolution character, she just goes batsh*t crazy, referencing all kinds of cosmic nonsense, which bodes well for her actual gameplay.
Even by Street Fighter standards, this first footage for the upcoming character is full-on anime, and it’s left us practically salivating for more ahead of her release in late Spring.

Capcom usually teases DLC characters with a World Tour trailer like this, before showcasing actual gameplay at a later date.
For those who don’t know, Ingrid is on a kind of redemption arc, as she’s never really been done justice by the Japanese publisher before.
She was first conceived for a 3D fighting game named Capcom Fighting All-Stars, which was cancelled prior to its release in arcades and on the PS2.
She was instead shoved into the highly disappointing Capcom Fighting Evolution, a cash grab which combined elements from various different fighters, like Darkstalkers and Red Earth.
While she was ported into Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max on the PSP – and later, interestingly, Capcom Fighting Collection 2 – this will be her first proper appearance as a mainline character.
We suspect this trailer is going to grate with some, but personally we’re all-in, and we can’t wait to see the character in action proper.
