Ofc Bungie would say its crap. I imagine they expected a drop in ps their player base if this came out. And if they have to lose players wallets to another game then it has to be unquestionably better in every aspect including mtx.

Will the gacha reruns be platform wide? I missed out on Seele. Not too sure about Topaz and Numby's kit. I still enjoy looking through online maps for treasure locations once I've explored everywhere.

I don't think the GaaS bubble will burst anytime soon especially with companies like Mihoyo who currently have 2 really profitable ones and a 3rd that has a massive loyal fan base. It's common knowledge now that just those 3 games made a ton of profit. No way greedy execs will let them keep all that gacha mulla pie to themselves.

I know a lot of starving artists and actors. This might be the break they need. Go ahead and strike.

Star rail is a great game just wished they released new story content more often. I understand why people are complaining about the gacha mechanics but as I've played it since launch I can honestly say you really do not need all the characters. So long as you can cover all your elemental bases and this can be achieved with the free characters. I grinded this game daily and have all the characters except 2 and suffering for it cause there's not enough materials to level all of them up to take on the toughest content. I'd advise anyone intending to play this on ps4/5 to save their free crystals and check out various sites for which character is SS tier and if they fit your play style. There's also a try before you buy option to test out the new character. I'm glad this was there or I would have got Kafka who's move set was nothing like it was when she was a boss character...what a rip.

I tried 2.0 it's still ridiculously buggy. Bugs in places I never encountered them in my original playthrough. I'll see what PL is like in 3 years.

First Descendant beta

Looking forward to this. I have a 1 gacha only policy. Started on Honkai 3rd impact "which this article forgot to mention", then Genshin and now enjoying Star rail. This seems more my preference my only qualm is the enemies bars are too in your face. Hopefully they reduce or blur them or give options in the launch build.

And they couldn't add NG+?

@thefourfoldroot1 Because shareholders like money and they probably wouldn't have greenlit this if they did not forecast some insane returns. Even Sony who are known for amazing single player games are investing in 10 live service games.

Endless dynamic events should have been for free.

@DennisReynolds Haha Nin would never allow their family characters in MK best you could hope for is probably a character from mad world. If they did I hope the Kameo is also in black and white.

I'd be surprised if the didn't use any of their war gods or Bio freaks characters. Those IP have been gathering dust for a while.

Vryn didn't sound that bad to me. Any voice works with a mascot I guess. What I can't stand is old women trying to sound like little girls. It's pretty gross on the ears.

@deadfred77 Nope. No refund from steam since I played over an hr of that garbage. I even hyped it up to my friends who also bought it and still bring it up as a joke at my expense.

@VanguardKaiser For HSR the premium characters are on banner pulls. use the in game currency (stellar jades) for the premium only and ignore the other temptations. There is a small percentage to unlock the character but at 90 pulls its guaranteed. This means u need a max total of 14,400 jades to hit 90 (I usually get them around the 65-70 mark). There is a pull counter that shows you how many times you've done it. The jades can be obtained fairly easily from chests, events and daily login quests.

@UltimateOtaku91 I understand what you mean by gacha putting you off as I was the same also. I've play Honkai star rail since launch and have got all the premium characters except the 1st one as I did not know how the gacha mechanics worked at the start. So far I've only paid £15 and and intend to stop when I've reached full AAA game value and that was just cause I ran out of Exp materials and did not want to grind for more to level up the new premium character I unlocked. The thing about these gacha games is that there will be so many characters to choose from and a lot of them will perform similar roles so just keep a look out for those you want. There's always enough in game currency to get the characters (In star rail anyway).

I was really hoping the entire game wasn't just snowfields and factories. That's a shame but i'm still getting it as the gameplay and boss battles look ace.

I really enjoyed it. Quite a few games that were never on my radar but are now.

I hope this does very well and inspires more devs to make mech games. Mech warriors and transformers can't be all western devs have to offer....that I know of.

@PCPS4XB Yes it is. 4 player co op and unlike the predatory nature of destiny once you beat a boss you are rewarded with the best unique loot for that boss no need to endlessly grind for a chance to unlock boss drops. This is surprising for a f2p game but it's a great mechanic and shows the devs respect that players have other things to do in their lives also. Played the first beta and really enjoyed it. Tried out a few of the characters and liked their abilities. very much looking forward to the 2nd beta to see the new weapons and revamped grapple. Will probably drop destiny when the full version of this comes out.

@Shinnok789 Agreed. Imo NR games have the best story modes of all the fighters out there. Even though they're linear it's always great fun. Now if they can take a page out of Arcsys' playbook from back in the day with GGX and create story paths that are unlocked by completing certain actions within a fight that would be very awesome. Shame Arcsys dropped this in favour of pvp.

NinjaKilla taking out the twins for a comeback victory was great to watch. That was some crazy high level fujin play.

i do hope Venom and Slayer are in this battle pass. That would be all my mains returned.

@number1024 Loool that's where it's from. I wondered why over the years the word "Metatron" suddenly pops in my head. Damn, that game had a deeper influence than I realised. Yea I never played fist of mars so did not know what happened in between and Mc becoming a rebel ace pilot was random af but I just accepted it. My fingers still remember the thrill of those insane boss battles and not being able to blink in case I miss my chance to dodge an attack. It would be great if the series got a remake as the IP hasn't been touched in a while now. I even recall buying the feature animation film on dvd which was a completely different set of characters. Where's the internet petition mob when you need them?

@Markatron84 I play Destiny also and have done for about a year but i'm very close to my breaking point. Most of my friends who started with me have already quit but i'm a glutton for punishment. The grind is so predatory even though they make you pay for the content so it's not f2p. Ive been trying to get the navigator exotic from the moment the dungeon launched and ive tried on 3 characters every week and still nothing. It makes absolutely no sense to add rng for an item with fixed stats.

@Rob3008 It's very difficult for publishers not to drool when they read reports like MiHoyo making as much money as Sony.

Yup played it for about a couple of weeks and really enjoyed the gameplay. Was looking forward to unlocking unicorn gundam then did the calculations with the points I was accumulating and realised it would take me about 3 months then gave up. Tried to jump back on recently but the community was long gone 30mins and no matchups.

I hope they expand this to RNG in games also. Being denied loot after you have spent an hr playing is a real time waster. Looking at you Bungie.

@nessisonett as you deleted your post but the email persists. No i'm in no way suggesting mangaka's are treated better than western writers. Not in terms of human rights anyway. They do have more creative freedom and entry into the industry for new comers isn't as impossible as the west. I don't believe well loved series like dragon ball or one piece would have survived as comics if the authors were western.

@AverageGamer I know what you mean but that was caused by marvel and dc themselves. Their quest for a monopoly has ended up being their downfall and now they wh*** out decades of character development for short term gains. Look at the comic industry in Asia still flourishing because they don't stifle creative talent instead they support and nurture as best they can. If marvel or dc created a shonen jump type environment where unknown writers and artists could create new stories based on their respective universes they would still be thriving.

I think SH should return to comics only for another few decades. All these directors and developers watering down great plots/characters and thinking they can do better than the writers and artists that have been keeping SH alive for the better part of a century are making me sick.

@themightyant Haha I hear you on that point. It took me like 60hrs into Genshin to realise I had barely made any actual progress before I dropped it for the time trap it is. This has been more friendly (he says 181hrs in) but I fear you might be in trouble as ZZZ comes out soon. That's 3 games specifically designed to consume time. Won't be surprised if it's some kind of MiHoYo curse magic at work.

@AsterZero Why do most ppl want Kafka when we don't know her skills? There's no guarantee her debuff from the campaign will be available or as potent.
