Depends on the game. For indie games, I'd say about 10 hours. For something like Uncharted, around 15-20, and for a big open world RPG 40 or more is fine if it's interesting.
I read a lot of the notes in Control because I found them interesting. I've never read every single note in a game though. Even trying sounds like some kind of masochistic torture.
I forgot why I stopped playing the beta of this a couple of months ago, but this review reminded me of the awful dialogue and it all came flooding back. Cringe doesn't come close.
I'd like to know what the combat is really like. I recently played a bit of Berseria and although there were cool combat moves, it felt like there was no specific inputs to do them. It just felt like I was mashing the controller, so I got bored with the combat and the game very quickly.
Didn't even know this DLC had a release date, but a two week delay isn't that much of a big deal. Being Irish, I am looking cautiously looking forward to this. I just hope the accents are better than that guy's in Rogue. I can't even remember his name but it was atrocious.
I think what people sometimes miss about these physical charts is that the Nintendo eShop hardly ever has a sale, and even when it does, its exclusives are never discounted by much. I buy a lot of playstation games on the ps store because they do great deals and I know if I wait, most games will be discounted. I almost always but physical switch games. It's often the only way of getting even a tenner off the price.
@Rhaoulos This game has been supposed to be released for so long now. They probably thought they'd have it out well before next gen consoles. That's why it's PS4.
Never came across this but on a couple of the side quests, it wouldn't let me complete them. Just kept saying "You must be anonymous" even though I was.
I'd love to see a new Naughty Dog IP. It feels like the right time. Uncharted is done. As much as I love it, 4 was the perfect ending and I don't think they should do another.
I'll probably get it but to be honest, it doesn't look very groundbreaking. Most of the stuff I saw in it has been in many other games. I just hope the story is good. Open-world games need someone to break to mold at this stage I think.

Re: The Last of Us Dev Naughty Dog Hiring for Three PS5, PS4 Games
I think it's time they did something new. As much as I'd love a new Uncharted, I think they're long overdue for a new IP.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima Sales Surpass an Impressive Eight Million
@Texan_Survivor 8m copies at $60 a copy is $480m. The game had a development cost of $60m. It's done really well.
Re: Talking Point: Do You Read All the Crap in Games?
I read a lot of the notes in Control because I found them interesting. I've never read every single note in a game though. Even trying sounds like some kind of masochistic torture.
Re: Destruction AllStars January Update Will Make Key Changes to Gameplay, Presentation
I liked this at launch, had my fun for a couple of months, but it's just not a game I ever saw myself playing for longer than that.
Re: Rumour: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Gets Surprise DLC This Month, 2022 Expansion Is 40 Hours Long

Re: Saints Row Delayed All the Way Back to August 2022
You forgot HFW is releasing in February as well, although I wouldn't be surprised if that slipped another month or two also.
Re: Impressive Project Awakening Footage Emerges from Cygames Tech Showcase
Looks gorgeous but still a long way away would be my guess.

Re: Super Monkey Ball's AiAi Is Going Bananas in Fall Guys with Latest Costume Collab

Will all the DLC be included on DIRT 5?
Re: When Is EA Play Live 2021?
Come on Fallen Order sequel!
Re: GreedFall PS5 Version Available to Download Now
Found it very dated and the AI was awful. Don't think a next gen upgrade is going to fix that.

Re: Ubisoft Strategy to Include More Free-to-Play Games Going Forward
@lolwhatno No it isn't. Nothing is really free to play. The sooner people realise that the better.

That's one of the most annoying things I've ever heard in my life.
Re: Mini Review: Ary and the Secret of Seasons - A Solid, Good-Looking Indie Action Adventure
Looks interesting but buggy. I'll give it a few months and maybe pick it up if they've sorted things out.
Re: Guide: New PS4 Games This Week (31st August to 6th September)
Can't wait for Tony Hawk. Already have it preinstalled. The demo is fun but can't wait to get stuck in properly.
Re: Steelrising Is a PS5 RPG From GreedFall Developer Spiders Studio
@DukeLeto If you want to try Greedfall, I would say wait for a sale. I didn't complete it. it was okay but it felt a bit dated and buggy.
Re: New Ghost of Tsushima Gameplay Clips are Gorgeous, Show More Combat
I haven't seen that stance element before. When I saw the state of play, I wasn't wowed but that element looks interesting.
Re: Talking Point: What PS5 Games Do You Expect at Sony's Future of Gaming Reveal Event?
