I guess the question is will they keep sharing the profits with steam or expand the Playstation store to PC. If they do the later they can keep advertising it as a Playstation exclusive.

I know two people have mental health issues who because they didn't have the stress of working in the office and travelling to and from clients their mental health improved. One has even come off the anti depressants. She the only one at her place of work that is allowed to work from home because even her boss didn't want to see her return to how she was before COVID.

@PinderSchloss The people of FF13 still remembered the glory days of FF7, FF8 FF9, by FF13 we were angry that Square Enix screwed up such a brilliant run of games. By FF16 we have accepted the simple fact that we are never going back to those glory days.

@Th3solution or not. Given Sony investment in FF, I wouldn't plan on playing it on anything other PS5 for a long time.

This is how FF should be. All this prequels and sequels and side stories just dilute the brand. Create a new world,. Create some great characters, port the fan favourites like cid over , tell us their story, move on to the next world. Simple. Square Enix has complicated and diluted ff brand way to much over the years.

@Jireland92 Because to get the games to play at the same fidelity as PS5/X reliably you would need to spend about twice to three times the money on a brand new PC. An even then as we saw with Ratchet & Clank, it won't necessarily play the same way.

Right now I think the only thing that might turn the tide for Microsoft, is Microsoft going to take-two with a check book an asking how much money is it going to take to get us a 18 months exclusivity for GTA6, I doubt Microsoft would get much change from 2 billion but that the only strategy I think might actually turn the tide and put Microsoft in any kind of shape to win the next gen.

Microsoft would be crazy to go for the same strategy again next generation. People and developers like consoles because they are simple, one platform, one set of hardware, one controller.

@RadioHedgeFund The argument people make is that online purchase games should be cheaper because Sony isn't paying for the disk, the box, rent for the store, staff wages to stack shelves.
To me however this is just another method the industry have used to keep prices of games the same despite dev cost sky rocketing.

@UltimateOtaku91 Mojang sold out. The owner couldn't handle the pressure of running a company the size Mojang turned into. Also as a independent they needed more games an he couldn't handle the pressure of what people would think of his new games an comparing it to mine craft.

@theMEGAniggle instead you get ai trainers who trained the ai to respond in ways suitable for your game. You will still need writer's for the overall story.

@DennisReynolds you are going to have them voiced by ai if you want them to have the other side. There no way for a voice could record every possible thing a generative ai could generate.

Can you take the drive from a shop brought PS5 disc version an put it in a disc less ps5.

Can you buy the separate disk drive and put it in a PS5 disc version?

If this the case it revolution in repair of PS5 and consoles and Sony should earn a few brownies points.

I thought Atari was a small company that was barely staying above water. Not one going on a acquisition spree.

Right now if I was Sony I be setting aside money to fund some gaming studio start ups an new ips. The industry has fired 6000 people over the last year or so. There plenty of talent who are currently unemployed.

There plenty of talent out there at the minute. Now is the time to probably start investing in new studios an talent for existing studios.
