@EfYI Live service games have run into difficulties doing sequels like that. I wouldn't be surprised if they drop the 2 and just keep evolving the current game. They already said they want to switch the current game engine to a more modern engine. That's probably their next big project over next couple of years, along with their next game.

Sony should have continued it development on it spiderverse game.

Why is Sony forming new studio's in one of the most expensive areas to live in the world. You think they be looking to form them in Eastern Europe, china, Vietnam, Thailand. This shows perhaps giving it America arm control of its gaming division wasn't a good move and American lacks the global vision to create a global studio ecosystem.

I suspect Sony couldn't afford to swallow the company as a whole and the South Korean and Chinese shareholders refused to sell. So for now Sony has to settle for 10%, i could see Sony slowly acquiring more shares until tennant an co give in and sale up.

Fact is Roblox is ridiculous profitable and unlike Epic, isn't using the money from it to fund other projects and parts of the studio alive. I bet they are sitting on a mountain of cash, in fact they got a money pile of nearly 3bn.

@Flaming_Kaiser I believe they had a clause in the contract which prevented Sony management from interfering the running off the company, as long as they met certain agreed targets. They failed to achieve those targets, giving Sony the ability to go in and sort the company out.

Next Gen is looking very skippable at the minute. But might also be gen where there a much clearer break between ps5 and 6 with many ps6 exclusives that are heavily reliant on ray tracing.
