Re: Review: Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia (PS4)

Eurogamer gave it a 7. I don't know why, but pushsquare always gives Assassin's Creed games lower score than other sites. A lot of them gave Syndicate a good score but this site just gave it a 6, one point above Unity when it was broken. I like this site for the news, but I really believe the scores are subjective. Diablo 3, a Game that is pure grinding and mediocre graphics, got a 9 here. I hated it and loved Syndicate. Just a matter of personal tastes, I believe, but I'm not taking into account these scores anymore.

Re: PlayStation Dominates EDGE's Greatest Ever Games

No Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, Chrono Trigger? Where's Tomb Raider? Where's Doom? Yoshi's Island? I've read Mario Galaxy is a 10, even if I've never played it. TLOU deserves that high place, but the rest make me wonder how old is the guy writing this.

Re: Sony: PlayStation Innovation Is Simply Unparalleled

Sega Saturn launch was one month before PsOne. Even if Saturn wasn't that relevant, Sony wasn't the first launching a polygon based console. They make good products, they reach the market, they have good exclusives. But I don't think they are innovative at all. Even the playstation controller is an evolution of SNES controller.

Re: E3 2015: Of Course Assassin's Creed Syndicate Gets a Bloody Good E3 Trailer

Maybe it's time to stop complaining about Assassin's Creed Unity? I've played it with all the patches (patch 5, I think) and it was a really good game with a nice online coop. It suffered from huge loading times, but excepting a few minor glitches, I've found it really enjoyable. I don't get why this franchise gets so much hate. The launching was a mess, it's true, but that also happened with Driveclub and a lot of other games and they don't get scores as low as Unity and they don't keep getting complains today.

Re: Take-Two Boss Says PS4 Hasn't Hit Its Full Potential

@BAMozzy Thanks for the detailed answer. I'll check the article. I've played some games on PS4 that made me think it really pays in terms of what you get for the price of the hardware, but I was a bit dissapointed on specific titles. I've recently bought Alien Isolation and it's a great game, but I don't think it looks really next gen and I've read it runs better on mid range pcs. I think that game is poorly optimized, but seeing it struggle to show 30fps with not so good graphics makes me think how much work developers have to use to put graphics/performance like Shadow of Mordor or Black Flag on PS4. I really don't care about a game running at 720p or 1080p with a bit more or less effects, but poorly optimized games sometimes make me doubt about upcoming games and if we'll getting much better graphics/performance on them or not. I hope you are right, even if I'm sure I'll be enjoying games on Ps4 even if they don't look as good as on a high-end pc.

@BAMozzy That sounds promising, it sounds that you know what you are saying. Can I ask you a few questions? 1) Shouldn't pcs still surpass ps4 when developers learn how to use the new apis? 2) Does this really applies to ps4, as it uses another api (I guess OpenGL)? 3) Do you have any sources that I can read or share about this?
Please don't get me wrong. I really liked your comments and I want to know more about it. I love ps4, but they always says it's underpowered these days.

Re: Sony Really Wants You to Pre-Order PS4 Games on the PlayStation Store

jmbenetti

In my country (Argentina) retail games are much more expensive than digital games on the store. I never bought a physical copy of any ps4 game and I doubt I'll do anytime. Also, I think it's a lot better to have the games installed on your hard drive and don't have to swap the discs everytime you want to change the game. That's for me, but I'm sure if the prices here were different I'd think it twice.

Re: Review: Mortal Kombat X (PlayStation 4)

jmbenetti

@get2sammyb Did you like the Mortal Kombat 9 story? I really liked it and I think it was the best of that game. I'm not expecting a Dostoievski inspired tale, but something related to the game that we played when we were kids that we can enjoy now.

Re: Ubisoft Admits Difficulties Developing Assassin's Creed Unity for the PS4

jmbenetti

@Farmboy74 Thanks for the detailed answer. I've really enjoyed Black Flag, but I've wanted to know if Unity worthed the money before buying it. I'm from Argentina, so I won't be buying any retail games because the prices here are very expensive. I'll just wait for Unity being discounted at PSN store, or save the money for something else. Thanks again!
