I'm with you there. Typically people that like physical media prefer uniformity when it comes to their collection.

This doesn't excite me all that much since I primarily play single player games.

That being said live service games can work well, but they need to be done correctly right out of the gate otherwise they risk falling flat on their face. (i.e. Anthem, Battlefield 2042)

Same. Survival horror is my absolute favorite genre, so when I see a new survival horror game, I get excited.

Unfortunately, I've been disappointed multiple times by projects like these that either 1) never end up releasing or 2) release but in a buggy state and are basically a shell of a game.

Kind of odd that they're doing a GT-only SoP when we have a bunch of stuff rumored to release in the next month or so (Cyberpunk on PS5, Ghostwire Tokyo, GTA V PS5, etc.).

I'm curious to see if this will get a physical release on PS5/XBX.

Totally dropped the ball in not having a remaster for PS5/XBX as well.

I royally suck at FromSoft games, so I will be getting Horizon, but Elden Ring looks really cool and I might pick it up later in the year.

RE 7 is hands down my favorite of the series. I know a lot of people were put off by the first-person perspective but I think it really helped the game shine as a claustrophobic, in-your-face survival horror game. You felt underpowered and vulnerable the whole time and the Louisiana swamp setting really made the experience all that much better.

I really liked RE Village, but 7 will always be remembered as the return to horror the series so desperately needed.

These days when I think of Ubisoft I think of two things: Rayman (which I love) and bland 3rd person, open world games that all feel and look the same.

IMO, Sony should focus on acquiring individual studios rather than publishers.

Remedy, Supermassive, Bungie, Quantic Dream, etc…

And as I said in another comment, revive/reboot some of your older IP.

Definitely...no question.

Horizon, Uncharted, God of War, Ratchet & Clank, Spider-Man, The Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushima, Infamous, Killzone, Sly Cooper, etc... Sony has a large and varied collection of IP under their sleeve.

The question is what should they do going forward?

First, strengthen your partnerships with Japanese publishers like Square, Capcom, and Bandai.

Second, establish new studios (which I realize takes time) to develop new IPs. These IPs should focus on genres that Sony's 1st party offerings currently don't cover: first person shooters, survival horror, etc.

Other than COD, I really don't play much Activision stuff, but this still is not good.

MS better keep their hands off Square Enix, Capcom, Warner Bros., etc.

Whether or not you like Activision or Call of Duty, this is definitely NOT good for PlayStation.

And honestly, I'd love if they gave Kingdom Hearts III a native PS5 version. Full 4K/60 fps and DualSense support would be awesome.

Omg... Alien Isolation is a solid 8.5/10 for me.

I'm not at all angry or worried by this move by Sony but more just apathetic.

I agree with a lot of people in the comments- a TLOU remake would seem like wasted potential. I enjoyed both games and the Uncharted series but I think ND should focus on a new IP.

I don't know how but, God willing, I managed to snap a PS5 off Walmart last week and it arrived on Christmas Eve.

I've enjoyed playing R&C so far and I'm extremely pumped for Horizon II.

On the 3rd party front, I'm especially excited for the Calisto Protocol.

Pretty sleek, although I kind of wish they offered a black console as well. Will definitely be getting the version WITH the disc drive. Any word on the console supporting Dolby Vision?

@LiamCroft Considering the RT score is based on twice the amount of reviews that the Metacritic score is, I'd say RT provides a better picture of what the general consensus is thus far.

Not to mention, movies topically score much lower on Metacritic than on RT.
