Code Veronica remake announcement…Please 🙏

Big survival horror fan but really getting tired of all these horror titles touting PS1-inspired graphics.

It’s starting to come off as lazy, especially as other indie horror titles can look pretty good (Visage, Tormented Souls, etc.)

Been wanting a Code Veronica remake for a while, so I hope this is true!

Definitely excited for this but it also makes me feel like a showcase or SOP is even less likely at this point.

Idc if people say that they haven’t released anything noteworthy over the past several years.

The PS5 is going through a first party drought currently, and smaller studios like London could have been put on smaller, AA projects to fill the gaps.

Between this and Pixelopus, I’m quite disappointed.

I won’t mind 2024 being a slower year if we get absolutely bombarded with first party games in 2025 and 2026.

I’ll gladly swap out my PS4 copies for shiny PS5 copies 👍

All these Marvel games in development and it seems we may go through this whole generation without a good DC game…

Sony should have acquired Clap Hanz and had a new Hot Shots Golf game ready to go for this generation.

Definitely a missed opportunity.

I had a PS3 but didn’t play any of the Resistance games unfortunately. I’d love to have the remastered trilogy on PS5!

The only caveat is every half hour you play you have to view a state-sponsored propaganda ad. 😬

Can’t wait! Would be nice if it released over the summer when there aren’t many other releases.

Looking forward to Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. Gives me strong Life Is Strange vibes and I need more of that in my life.

So is this going to be a true survival horror or more of a walking simulator horror game?

Never got around to either Gravity Rush game so if this ends up true, I’ll definitely be getting it.

Remedy is easily becoming one of my favorite developers.

I’m especially looking forward to Control 2 and the Max Payne 1 and 2 remake.

Was really looking forward to Respawn’s Star Wars FPS, too.

At a time when Sony is having trouble getting first party games out at a steady pace, this is extremely concerning.

Can’t wait to play this. Was hoping for physical but I don’t think it will get one.

Based on how they worded it I’d say: Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded.

Hopefully there is an option to purchase it!

Probably an unpopular opinion but I wouldn’t mind this generation lasting more than 8 years considering how long we were in the cross-gen period for.

This is going to be a difficult game to remake, I feel.

Half the people want a game that’s going to play like the RE remakes, while the other half want it to play similarly to the original (clunky combat, etc.).

No matter how good it turns out to be, there will be a group that writes it off because it’s not what they were expecting.

I’d take Ori, The Outer Worlds 2, Hi-Fi Rush, a new Evil Within, a new DOOM, Perfect Dark, the Master Chief Collection, Sunset Overdrive, Gears, and possibly Starfield.

I would personally be interested in buying Hi-Fi Rush, the Ori games, Starfield, The Outer Worlds 2, and the next DOOM game.

Looked great to me. I assume this will be a Fall 2024 (most likely October) release.

Everything looked really good.

But one thing is bothering me… I couldn’t tell if the Until Dawn re-release was a remaster or remake. I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

I’d like to see more out-of-the-box, AA games from Sony.

I’d also like to see them try their hand at a new genre… maybe a survival horror or a narrative driven FPS?
