Another quick update on how Trophies will work with some of the PS1 games coming to PS5 and PS4 through PS Plus Premium: it's looking like titles that support Sony's digital trinkets will feature two separate Trophy lists. This means that you'll be able to earn all of the Trophies twice, should you play the games on both PS5 and PS4.
To be clear, the separate lists appear to be identical in terms of content — it's just that one is a PS5 list and the other is for PS4. Still, this could be useful information for all you Trophy hunters out there.
The new PS Plus tiers are in the process of being released across Asian territories at the time of writing this article — additional PS1 games are being outed right now — so we should know a lot more about how everything works in the very near future.

I like me some trophies but getting them twice for each console is a step too far for me.
This is normal all for games on PS4 and PS5. There is no shared list between this generation due to PS5 supporting a new trophy format (like progress tracking and more trophies per list), that PS4 doesn't support.

Unless they find a way to prevent auto-popping, this is just a nuisance.

@thefourfoldroot1 I doubt they'll auto-pop. You'll probably have to earn them all twice.
@thefourfoldroot1 autopopping isn't the default, that's specifically programmed in. So I doubt they'll do it here.

Agreed. I don't see myself deliberately platinuming the same game twice. Our backlogs are about to explode as it is, hard to justify replaying a game you already platinumed a 2nd time

Hope this good news continues for plus tiers. Looking more and more better every day. Potentially might not be much PS1 classics to begin with at launch but will no doubt have loads more added. While on the subject of trophies I wish more auto popping trophies are available if you platted the PS5 version first, like I can't auto pop Guardians of the Galaxy trophies on PS4 if I platted the PS5 version first

@Bentleyma I with you. I'm guessing it's due to there being 2 versions for PS4 & PS5 and having two PS1 labels would somehow bork the system. But an update should easily fix that.
I don't mind double Platinums but I'm only gonna go after one for the time being. I already have too many games that I need to get through. orz

How pathetic do you have to be to care about double platinums for a game.
It's already bad enough caring about platinums in general, but double plats is ridiculous, at that point you need to go outside
Good news for those with time to spare! I only plan on platting the PS5 trophies though.
