🤔... yet Sony barely paid for marketing. If you are internally excited for years that "Sony's future project is in development", maybe share that hype with the only people that matter in business...the consumer. They obviously decided to blow their load on a potential Fortnite killer "😂" and failed. Stick to your base, stick to what you do best, stick to selling multiple millions of single player based software experiences. It's why so many of us are here.

This darn game has stolen most of my Labor Day Weekend. It's so hard to stop!

This example can be utilized as a strong warning for developers...Zucker Bucks run out!

I've loved Sony since before PS1. However, I truly think that they do not want to grow the market share and therefore more money. Does someone hold them handcuffed? Honestly.

Hire a 3rd party port? Wow! What an idea, huh?

Code Veronica DC has a special place in my heart. I hope they do bring this classic back to life!

Is it just a streak or does it seem like every new title happens to have an amazing soundtrack? I'm certainly not complaining!

How much rhythm gameplay is there? There was a game that came out about 5 year ago and looked like classic Zelda. I tried it many many times but I couldn't get rhythm with 2D dungeon crawler. Can anyone remind me the name of this industry changing game?

@LiamCroft please help me! I am a 45 yr old Sega crazed gamer. To me (USA), Sega died on Dreamcast (😪) and local arcades (😪😪). I loved Dynamite Cop and Shenmue but Yakuza has just become localized (2-4 years?) to me. I have the PS Plus+++ (or whatever) and all Yakazua titles might be available but I have no idea where to start. Please consider a Push Square video educating us "behind the times" westerners on a timeline with recommendations for progression. Please! I want to kick some Sega butt, badly! Love you PushS!

@Ledgerat If you are now on PS5, there is a filter to the left at the top of your library app. You can filter down to vr and/or vr2 titles. It's so easy that I deleted vr folder after discovering it.

Daytona USA 2? Isn't this never been released to console arcade classic playable? I'm shocked I can't find any opinion on the ROM. I've been waiting for 30ish years for a console Daytona 2. Ive played and loved some Yakuza's but I wish we had a definitive timeline to play all games.

@Hamst88 I sure hope you are right. It would sell like hotcakes and hopefully that would encourage Bethesda to give us a proper Fallout or Doom Eternal in VR.

I heard on Mondays Digital Foundry podcast that this game will bring Model 3 emulated arcade games for the first time. Daytona USA 2 will now be playable on consoles! It only took 25 years!

@Beerheadgamer82 I agree completely. John at Digital Foundry said that he thinks HDR implication in gaming has a bigger overall effect than the switch to HD and I agree. Wait until you see the HDR colors in the PSVR2! Synth Riders and Rez really really pop!

This is one great example of Sony acting like a dummy. They released a launch trailer at the start of Aug stating 8/15 release date and then immediately pulled it from their YouTube channel. On 8/14 they then re-release the launch trailer stating available today but it's not available 8/14 and is in fact available 8/15.? Seriously, Sony.... call me! This is beyond stupid with a corporation's sized budget. ...just wow! PPP

Please keep reporting these stories. The more we salivate over 60fps gameplay, maybe these developers will wake up. Why wouldn't you want your likely multi-year project running better than ever? If you are producing a current gen only game, it's fine to run 30fps with cutting edge visuals but if your project is last gen... do it, duh. I don't get it.

@pharos_haven a fantastic multiplayer military shooter. It doesn't have a single player campaign but it has a ton of crossplay multiplayer modes that are all a blast (maybe not zombie mode). It was the surprise hit from the PSVR2 launch. It's highly interactive and may require a video or two of tips and tricks to get fully prepared. The quality of the visuals/sound/gameplay is shockingly good, IMO. 9/10 if looking for multi shooter with high social connection and demanding/realistic gun play.

I'm hyped as heck as I loved the first. I'm concerned about this new video, though. It looks like the frame rate is all over the place which does not bode well in VR. Hopefully it's a crappy feed or recording.

@JGB It has to be coming. Sony has the worst marketing in the world! I bet there will be an Astro title ready for Christmas. It's the number one request from Sony by far!

Stoked!! In my limited PCVR experience, this is second only to Alex. Sounds very promising and praying they took advantage of PS5 & PSVR2!

@MrRusty I'm curious about your comment, not fully sure I understand. Are you referencing someone like Heath Ledger? The study corrupted their mind? Not trying to sound offensive, but that one still stings me.

I can't wait!! The creativity on display merged with VR should produce a strong case for VR gaming in general. You can't do this in 2D!

2nd correction: (opinion actually) The animation and shooting mechanics look like they were straight ripped from Flashback!
