Re: PS5's Limited SSD Storage Space Cannot Be Upgraded at Launch

hookedWORM17

@ShogunRok Looking for clarity. Your article states that you cannot store PS5 on HDD? I understand that you can't run a game from HDD but can't we utilize an external to hold the game and then transfer to SSD when ready to play? My internet is metered in USA. If I'm hearing you correctly, I hope Sony changes this. I have a 8 TB home cloud I was hoping to "park" purchased games and avoid redownloading from the internet. Thanks!

@nessisonett I don't disagree. The laws comment has me confused because we don't have laws that end your business goals. Disney did, however, save Marvel and the Star Wars IP's. They paid more money than I can fathom for the ability to produce product for the screen (movie or games). I believe that social media and easy access news, via device, has destroyed the comic book market. Its my opinion that they saw this and bought up IPs before they crashed. Is anyone disputing as old as I? 🤣

😪😴😴😪💤💤💤... does this include actually gameplay? I believe my western fans at my age (40), don't have much interest. My fellow above average age game fanatics don't follow anime but we do love a good Japanese fighter, RPG or platformer. In fact I don't know anyone over here in USA who even cares about comic books. Seems like a steep investment for only half of the world. IMO

Re: Mini Review: Superliminal - Fresh Perspective on First Person Puzzling Is Small in Scale

hookedWORM17

Looks like my type of game. Although, I might be confusing it with another. You guys posted a video a few weeks back of a lady narrating through a level. This game used perspective but I think it had multiple size's of the level connected.? It reminded me of Fisherman's Tale. You would move something small and it would move the big version. Any idea what game I'm thinking of?

Re: PSVR Support Finally Comes to Dreams in July

@Quintumply This leads to my question that likely won't be answered until it's release. Will you be able to utilize PSVR to create a 2D game? I'm thinking much like Augmented Reality, I think the tools would work better in a 3D space. This is exciting to me!

Re: Soapbox: Seven Years Later, The Last of Us Remains a Masterpiece

hookedWORM17

@Danloaded AI getting in the way sux! I just restarted Bioshock Infinite since the new patch and I'm excited to finish it... one of my favorite of all time IMO. I was amazed at the cinematic quality of LOU but felt like the stealth component was slow and dry. Comparing it to a MGS5, I did not enjoy it as much. I am hoping that this new game will combine the two.

Re: Soapbox: Seven Years Later, The Last of Us Remains a Masterpiece

hookedWORM17

@Danloaded Did you feel like the gameplay wasn't very loose? The gameplay of LOURm didn't excite me but everything else did. Granted, I'm coming off of 20 hours of Doom Eternal and I've had difficulty finishing The Lost Legacy. I like narrative driven games but find boredom if the gameplay isn't exciting. Sounds like LOU2 may have found ways to keep the incredible narrative and add action gameplay. Waiting and hoping!

Re: Soundtrack of the Decade: #4 - Dark Souls Delivers a Soundtrack as Unforgettable as Its Gameplay

hookedWORM17

Hmm..I would say that From Software has some of the best sound design in the business. Soundtrack plus creatures and environmental noise all meld into one. I'll never forget the 8 seconds of "gong" like sound after stunning an enemy in Bloodborne followed by the ghostly cries of a Viceral attack! To me you have to be able to sing a soundtrack in your head outside of the game. This has never happened to me regarding a From Software title. I'm also slightly concerned by the overall youth of the titles so far. My number one soundtrack came out in 2014 and my number 2, 2011. I will not share my 2 favorites until all have been revealed as there is still hope that these 2 gems have not been forgotten. It certainly makes for great debate regardless of the winners.

Re: Devil May Cry 5 - Devil May Cry Back to Its Absolute Best

hookedWORM17

@ShogunRok I'm someone who beat the original DMC (long long ago) and then played "DMC", Ninja Theory, to death on PS4 because of its high frame rate action. The truth is I loathe for a Bayonetta replacement in my heart. I have only played Bayonetta on 360 and still wish I could find an action game with fluid/deep combat that's interesting enough to keep digging into. I lapsed the PlayStation life I led with ps3/360 but I'm back! I need a new Bayonetta! Do you believe this game will fill my void? Thanks!

Re: Guide: All PS4 HDR Compatible Games

hookedWORM17

@GravyThief, you will not be able to forget. A HDR enabled TV, in my opinion, makes non HDR games look better too with correct adjustments. The fact that the screen can display at a brighter level allows you the ability to crank color and contrast. Samsung 55 NU8000 if you live on a budget like I.

Re: Guide: All PS4 HDR Compatible Games

hookedWORM17

@starhops I couldn't agree more...definitely check a tv you are thinking about purchasing on this site. You want low latency input and high as heck bright levels. They do a fantastic job of rating game quality with and without HDR enabled.

Re: Guide: All PS4 HDR Compatible Games

hookedWORM17

@get2sammyb I recommend as a relatively inexpensive set a 55" Samsung NU8000. Wonderful bright display with insanely low input latency. I did plug my Pro into a friend's LG OLED which was an experience hard to explain. I can't wait for this tech to become more cost competitive.

Re: Guide: Best PS4 Pro Games

hookedWORM17

I never hear The Witness mentioned on these lists but it has the greatest HDR adaption, in my opinion. Walking out of an under ground tunnel into the sun comes close to hurting your eyes. I have to squint to get through the orange forest and past the pink trees. Switching to 60 fps still has a higher resolution than HD and is definitely the way to go.

Re: Resogun Returns with PS4 Pro Update

hookedWORM17

Definately looks cleaner in 4k.. check out the humans in the boxes! The HDR effect isn't as stark as I had wished but when you hit a "phase complete" or die the screen definately lights up in glorious fashion. This game will never grow old to me.

Re: Hands On: Is Nioh on PS4 a Cut Above Its Competitors?

hookedWORM17

I am surprised the editors of this article only mentioned Dark Souls in their comparative points. I downloaded this demo the second I saw Koei Tecmo was the developer. I love and crave the Souls series but I was stoked at the idea of a current gen Ninja Gaiden! Both Souls and Gaiden require determination and practice to master their own respectable art form. I only had 20 min last night to try it out and left feeling disappointed. If Tecmo would focus on retaining the fast/brutal/challenging/...PERFECT combat of Ninja Gaiden 1 or 2, and then focus on adding RPG or even Dark Souls leveling...I WOULD BE IN HEAVEN!!! So far the controls feel too loose and I had trouble focusing on the enemy I intended to...not Gaiden'esk at all! Bring back the right trigger straightens the camera behind the character for fast camera control, add a bigger more open level design, plus add a bunch of RPG elements and I think this game could be Souls killer.
