Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has finally unveiled the last remaining characters joining its launch roster with its latest trailer.
The final team is the Samurai Outriders, led by the previously-announced Ghost Rider, and he's joined by Blade, Loki, and Deadpool. Check them out below:
"The Samurai Outriders are a group of dark heroes," reads the PS Blog post.
"As you might expect, they don’t start out as a cohesive unit… in fact, they’re quite the opposite. As they face threats to the world, how each of them—and the team as a whole—grows and evolves is something you can look forward to experiencing in Episode Mode."
Blade "specializes in an aggressive combat style," using his katana, Muramasa, as well as machine guns and glaives to hunt down opponents.
Asgardian god Loki utilises "many skills incorporating feints and counters using illusions," with ice and magic projectiles adding to his back of tricks.
Finally, Deadpool's reckless and chaotic fighting "uses guns, grenades, and swords, along with high-risk techniques that involve taking damage himself."
As well as the trio of new fighters, Asgard is revealed as another battle stage, showing off various locations you'll recognise from Thor comics and movies.

An open beta test has also been announced; coming to PS5 and PC (with crossplay enabled), all will be able to play from 24th to 26th July, 2026. Blade will be part of the playable roster during the beta. More details are coming soon.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls launches only a couple of weeks after that, on 6th August. It's getting pretty exciting now, isn't it?
I really like the look of these new characters; the fourth wall-breaking antics of Deadpool look like a lot of fun. What are your thoughts on all this Tokon news? Tell us in the comments section below.

'Random bull***** go!'
I hope for the game to becomes a staple in the FGC.
It feels like this is “The Leftovers” team
Nolan North as Deadpool.
Interesting how every team has one character who doesn't fully fit with the rest.
Blade finally! And he looks sick. The last 2 team announcement trailers have really been fire.
You can kind of tell they didn’t have a proper theme with this one. Just four characters they liked and wanted in that didn’t fit any of the other teams.
Agree it’s not really a consistent theme but cool picks!!!
This team looks pretty hype!
I think my team would be Spidey, Wolverine, Blade, and Deadpool :3
I'm not really a fighter fan, outside of MK, but I'd probably take a second look at this. Looks really well made.
I'm in that open beta like tomatoes in ketchup can't wait
@Duck_Farmer
Japanese voice acting is also very good (not that I understand it mind you lol but the tone ^^)
@0niguy
Idem
This Blade has strong Nagoriuky vibes ^^
Too bad the beta is during VS Fighting (one of the biggest fighting game tournaments in Europe), meaning I can't play it (unless I do it on hotel wifi in Birmingham).
Deadpool is simply made of references to other games, which looks very fun
At last, my boi Blade.👍
And Deadpool doing MK's "Toasty!" easter egg is hilarious.😂
Blade and Loki are huge gets.
Great roster. I hope it'll be successful just like SF games
@MichaelNau definitely I noticed that when his sword turned red
The dichotomy of the comments on this is very much sort of a testament to the current gaming discourse writ large.
I'll pick this up in a few years once all the DLC is out
Open beta? Niiiice, I'll definitely give that a try. Even put it in my diary so I won't forget.
I'm glad there'll be an open beta on PC. I don't generally play a lot of fighting games (Mortal Kombat 11 was the last one I played) but the Marvel-ness is drawing me in so I'd like to give it a go. I love how it looks as well; Arc System Works makes stunning games.
Easily my most anticipated game for the rest of the year. It’s the prime example of what PlayStation should be doing in the live service space. Making a smart bet with a partner developer in an open part of the market.
Would never have guessed Loki for Ghost Rider's team.
Blade is such a great choice because he's long overdue to be in a fighting game.
And getting Nolan North back as Deadpool is a great get.
